A British man has announced his pregnancy, making the dad-to-be the first male from the U.K to become pregnant.

Twenty-year-old Hayden Cross, from Gloucester, is excited to be the first British male to carry a child, but understands the journey will not be without issues or ridicule from individuals that simply do not understand his situation.

Although Hayden was born as a female, he has been working his way through the transition toward becoming a male. For the past three years, according to Metro, Hayden has lived as a man and has transitioned to the point of legally becoming a male. Although Hayden began hormone treatment, he has decided to put that on hold while he is pregnant for his first child. He expects to finalize the transition after the child is born.

AZ judge blocks pregnant man’s divorce because state doesn’t recognize same sex marriage

A Maricopa County Superior Court judge has denied a
divorce to “Pregnant Man” Thomas Beatie on grounds that the transgender
tabloid celebrity did not prove that his Hawaiian marriage was not a
same-sex marriage.
Beatie, 39, touted himself on TV talk shows as “the
Pregnant Man” in 2008 with his first pregnancy. He subsequently had two
more children with his wife, Nancy, whom he married in 2003.
The couple filed for divorce in March 2012.
In December, Beatie told The Arizona Republic, “I’m clearly a man: socially, legally, psychologically, physically — the whole ball of wax.”
Judge Douglas Gerlach was not so certain. In a ruling last
June, he noted that the “marriage was between a female … and a person
capable of giving birth, who later did so.”
Beatie was born a woman. But in 1979, he began taking
testosterone and had a psychologist determine that he identified with
the male gender. He underwent a double mastectomy in 2002 and had his
birth certificate changed to say he was male.
Because his wife, Nancy, could not have children, he did. Now he wants a divorce so that he can marry his new girlfriend.
Gerlach denied that request on Friday.
Gerlach wrote in his order that the Beaties had not proven
that their marriage is recognizable under Arizona law, which describes
marriage as between a man and a woman, and therefore cannot be legally
dissolved.

“Pregnant Man” splits from wife

Thomas Beatie, who is known across the world as ‘The Pregnant Man’, has announced his split from his wife of nine years.

Beatie, 38, revealed the break-up from his wife Nancy during a taping of the syndicated CBS show ‘The Doctors’.
He also admitted during the interview that he had undergone his final gender reassignment surgery from female to male.

‘Nancy hasn’t seen the new me yet,’ said Beatie in a taping for the show which will be screened on Monday May 7.

‘Like all marriages, we have our ups and downs, and we’re going through a rough patch right now.

‘At the moment, we’re separated.’

Mr Beatie was born as a woman, Tracy Lagondino, in Hawaii in 1974, but says he always felt like he wanted to be a man.

When he was in his twenties he began having testosterone injections, giving him facial hair, a lower voice and altering his sexual organs.

In 2002 he had a mastectomy and legally became a man – but he chose to keep his vagina, uterus and other female sexual organs so the couple could have children, as his wife had had a hysterectomy.

He posed for an infamous picture in 2007 which displayed him as heavily pregnant but with facial hair.
