Celeb Parents at NBA’s All Star Weekend

This past weekend was a busy one with the BAFTA Awards, the Black Panther movie opening and the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend.

A couple of our current Bellyitch Bumpwatch mamas showed up and out including third-time mom-to-be Ayesha Curry who rooted on her husband Goldenstate Warriors star player Steph Curry as he lead Team Curry. They lost to our Bellyitch alum Savannah Brinson James‘ husband LeBron James team but that didn’t stop Ayesha from bigging up her man in an instgram post.

“W my love celebrating last night. So proud of you,” the cook book author captioned a photo of herself in an AC/DC tee, casual sweats and a leather jacket with the 2017 NBA MVP crouching down giving her bump a kiss.

First time mom-to-be Khloe Kardashian attended the “Game is Everything” dinner kicking off the weekend with her beau Cleveland Cavalier  Tristan Thompson. 

LeBron James was named All-Star MVP for the third time in his career this past weekend at the 2018 NBA All-Star game. James handpicked his team and then carried it to victory in a win for “Team LeBron” over “Team Stephen” on Sunday.

Kevin Hart and his wife Eniko Parrish Hart and kids were there as was Beyonce  taking selfies with daughter Blue Ivy Carter and mama Tina Lawson and her husband Richard Lawson nearby.

Fun Times! Congrats to Team LeBron!

NBA Finals: 5 Dad Moments Happened During The Series

Congratulations to the Cleveland Cavaliers for coming from behind 3-1 in a 7-game NBA Finals series to win. It happened on Father’s Day. Throughout the season there have been emotional moments related to dads.

1.  Today, most people are talking about J.R. Smith, known as a bad boy in the NBA, who cried while giving an emotional tribute to his parents. After the tear-filled remarks before the NBA press corp, Smith rose and gave his dad a heartfelt hug.

I cried. He got a standing ovation. It was moving.



2. In a more funny interview, an on-the-court correspondent asked Smith’s daughter, Demi, if she is happy to see his dad play in the finals. She said, “I’m just proud of him because he made the championship without getting kicked off the team.” It’s hilarious because Smith had been kicked off of several teams before and his daughter was just keeping it real.

3. Steph Curry is known for taking his daughter Riley to the post-game press conference and we saw game MVP LeBron James adorable youngest child, 18-month old daughter Zhurie, in his arms during his interview. She is soo cute. His wife Savannah Brinson James welcomed her in October 2014.

4. On a down note, Steph Curry reported that his dad was detained by police in Cleveland before game 6 and mistaken for a con-man and not let into the stadium on suspicion that he stole his backstage access.

5. Also, prior to game 7, Mychal Thompson expressed to ESPN that he feared LeBron James would rob his son Klay Thompson of experiencing his first NBA finals similar to how Mychal did while a champion with the L.A. Lakers in the 90s. Well… we know how that ended. 😮

NBA Finals: Baby ‘Stuff Curry’ and ‘Cry Baby LeBron’ are Taking the Media by Storm (VIDEO)

Ten month old Landon Benton is an Instagram star with close to 80,000 followers and is affectionately now known as Stuff Curry, after the popular Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry.

The moniker came by accident.

In fact, Landon’s mom, Jessica Benton, didn’t even know of Curry and thought a commenter calling her baby Stuff Curry was being mean like some others who have, unfortunately, criticized her cute cherubic baby’s loveable rolls.  Jessica told ESPN  that she Googled the term and found the NBA star. And the rest is history, as they say.

The Illinois mom has since taken it upon herself to outfit her baby in Warriors jerseys and gear and reclaim and play up the name to the baby’s fans, TODAY reported.

And also since then, baby Benton’s career has taken off. He’s been featured on UK’s DailyMail and other sites.

He recently starred in a spoof of an NBA Finals after game press conference along with another baby cast as  “Cry Baby LeBron”  on Jimmy Kimmel Live!   The Cleveland Cavaliers 5-time NBA champ and MVP, LeBron James, is dad to our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum, Savannah Brinson James

He and baby LeBron were also part of a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live video/interview too.

Benton’s mom is an advocate against bullying after her older son committed suicide at age 20. He had been bullied as a teen.
