Moms, moms-to-be, and all of us who care about the mommy, celeb bump watch, and parenting will probably enjoy the above trailer for the Cameron Diaz movie, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”
The movie, based after the widely popular New York Times Best seller of the same name and which dispels myths and preconception about pregnancy, is slated for release around Mother’s Day 2012 (May 11, 2012). From the look of the trailer, it looks pretty funny, though some of the humor is over the top and it may annoy non-parents or those folks who don’t believe in overpopulating the earth.
It takes jabs at e-mom-ulated men who carry their kids in front carriers, the poor orphan African and Asian kid adoption craze and the obsession over seemingly perfect celebrities who breeze through their pregnancies in 6 inch heels, fabulous clothes and nary a weight gain or morning sickness episode *cough* Rachel Zoe *cough*. At least Victoria Beckham had the morning sickies pretty bad. That made her a wee bit normal. Hilarious. Can’t wait to see this movie. I hope it doesn’t disappoint me.
The film has a host of stars in addition to Diaz, including Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Rodrigo Santoro, Ben Falcone, Thomas Lennon and Joe Manganiello.
