An anti-cussing group started in 2007 by a Bringham Young college student has asked ABC to pull tonight’s episode of “Modern Family” where a toddler uses the “F” bomb. Lily (Aubry Anderson-Emmons), adopted daughter to Eric Stonestreet (Cameron Tucker) and Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), a gay couple on the show, are left to deal with Lily using the word while serving as a flower girl in a friend’s wedding in tonight’s episode, Wednesday, January 18 at 9pm ET. She really says the word “fudge” but there is a bleep. “Our main goal is to stop this from happening,”No Cussing Club 18-year old founder McKay Hatch told the Washington Post “If we don’t, at least ABC knows that people all over the world don’t want to have a 2-year-old saying the ‘F-bomb’ on TV.”
I’m with Lloyd on this one. It’s a real issue that some parents have to deal with and I’m sure they will use humor to show how it can be done. This show, which is my absolute favorite, is hilarious and does a great job at showing blended families including gay adopted families which would be unheard of 10 year ago.
