“Comfort is overrated. How you dress is the impression you give off to the universe. Do you want to look frumpy? That’s how you’ll be perceived, that’s how you’ll perceive yourself, and that’s how you’ll feel. It doesn’t take much effort, and about the same amount of time to look nice.”
That’s what NBC trend reporter and style expert Amy Koch told Parenting magazine about her latest book Bump It Up which features sketches by designer heavy weights Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Diane von Furstenberg, and others that exhibit must-dos (and must-don’ts) of a fashionable pregnancy.
Fabulous though I’m certain that many women, even pregginistas, may not be able to wrap their heads around a sketch and convert it into a reasonable look for themselves in their minds, but whatever. And also, I would’ve interviewed those who specialize and actually design maternity wear. Sounds like a great concept, nonetheless. I’m on my way to the bookstore this afternoon and I may have to go check this one out!
