Tamera Mowry-Housley is counting down the days until her baby boy arrives. We know based on an interview she gave to MyStyle.com that her son’s initial will be A.T.
In a story for the online affiliate to the network which airs her reality TV show, Tamera and Tia shared that it is a family tradition to give children a first name that starts with same first letter as the father’s first name and a middle name which starts with the first initial of the mother’s name.
Tamera’s parents, Timothy and Darlene Mowry continued the tradition: Tamera’s middle name is Darvette; twin sis Tia Mowry’s is Dashon and their two younger brothers are Tahj Dayton and Tavior Dante.
“I can say that my son’s name will definitely start with ‘A’ and his middle name will start with ‘T,’ so that he has [my husband] Adam’s and my initials,” Tamera dished to MyStyle.com. “We are going to keeping with that family tradition.”
Similarly, Tia’s son Cree Taylor is named after that tradition, following the pattern of his parents’ names Cory and Tia.
Though Tamera added that she and husband Adam Housley are considering giving their son an extra middle name. Uh oh.
Visions of the name actress Uma Thurman gave her daughter pop to my head:
Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.
Whatever floats your boat, I guess, girl. ha!
