Normally, first time parents-to-be wait until late second trimester or early third trimester shortly before it is no longer safe to board a flight before taking a baby moon, that last hurrah before life changes for ever.
But not if you’re a Royal!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William have reportedly taken a 10 hour flight from London to the secluded island of Mustique, off the coast of Barados in the Caribbean.
According to The Sun British tabloid, the couple will be staying at a $30,000 per week private villa. And a Daily Mail UK paper reports that Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton will join the couple, but will be staying in a separate home.
“Both William and Kate were hoping her condition would not stop her from making the eight-hour flight to Barbados and the connection to Mustique,” an insider tells the tabloid. “A month ago such a journey would have been unthinkable for her, so this is a clear sign she has made a virtual recovery.”
Must be nice.
Meanwhile, news outlets are stating that Catherine will be making her second official appearance since announcing her pregnancy.
The LA Times reports that the Duchess will make an appearance at the Hope House, a women’s rehabilitation facility this February 19 in London. She has been a patron for the program for a while and plans to meet with clients and staff while there.
