Today.com‘s newest poll reveal that most women polled wish they would have had their children at an earlier age. Currently, about 65% of the over 3,000 women who answered the question: “Do you wish you were younger or older to start having children” said they wanted to be younger.
It stemmed from a recent New York Times piece about a 23 year old grad student who said she had no regrets having a baby at a relatively young age. Although the Centers for Disease Control revealed that the median age for first time moms is 25, many women balk at starting their families in their 20s. A recent piece in The Atlantic though said the hype over fertility is overblown.
So many conflicting messages.
