File this one under “how not to escape police.”
Police stopped a Florida woman for almost hitting a child on a bike yesterday afternoon. The cops arrested 21-year old Euvenslada Rodriguez Lopez after she gave a fake name and later discovered that she didn’t even have a license, that her ID car had multiple suspensions on it and that the car she was driving was not even registered yet had the license plate of an entirely different vehicle on it.
On the way to the police station, Lopez said she was pregnant and getting lightheaded in the back of the police car, the Orlando Sun-Sentinel reported. As soon as the officers obliged with her request to roll the windows down, she managed to maneuver her handcuffs to the front of her body and open up the car door through the window.
The 5 ft 3 inch 220lbs Lopez then gave chase on foot across a CVS drug store parking lot before being tackled to the ground. It didn’t take long before they got her back in the squad car and continued the journey to the station did the sneaky suspect try again to take off her seat belt and remove her handcuffs.
At the stations, she again complained of having stomach cramps. Falling for it again, she was taken to a nearby hospital where she then “verbally abused” the doctors and hospital staff, the police report revealed.
She remained jailed unable to make $7,000 bail.
Phew! What an adventure!
