Although the beans were spilled a few days before, Kim Fields, best known as a child actress for her role in the 70s thru 80s show Facts of Life as “Tootie” and”Regine” in the 90s show Living Single announced on the new summer run talk show The Real that she is in her third trimester of pregnancy with her second son who she and husband Christopher Morgan will call Quincy Xavier.
“We actually had been trying for a couple of years,” she said later said while explaining her pregnancy journey.
She also opened up about prior miscarriages.
“Since this is The Real, we got pregnant two times and um it didn’t go,” the actress turned sitcom director said with a little tremble in her voice. “and I’m amazed at how much that is a testimony for so many people and it doesn’t matter your age, your background or whatever it just is.”
The 44-year old mom to son Sebastian Alexander, 6, said she’s just blessed and isn’t trying to be the poster child for pregnancy over 40. (um you mean Nia Long who took a lot of flak and backlash for taking on that banner?)
Good for Fields for being open and candid.
See the clip from the show which is doing well as a Summer experiment in limited cities, up 20 points since it debuted last week, here and catch up with other clips here, and to see if it is in your city. If it continues to do well in ratings, it may be picked up nationally similar to how Bethenny Frankel‘s show parlayed into a national show.
