Today, marked the 50th Anniversary of Dr Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech from the March on Washington 50 years ago.
Events are taking place to commemorate the day. For those who cannot attend, and who have children. One way to mark the occasion may be to pledge to volunteer or do some other sort of community service project or help the poor.
Much of Dr. King’s message was about civic participation and duty as much as equality and civil rights.
