Congratulations to actress Tika Sumpter who welcomed a baby girl earlier this month that she named Ella Loren.
This the first child for the Haves & Have Nots star who recently commiserated with other parents when she posted a meme on Twitter recently with the caption, “Dear Mom’s, dad’s and caretakers, I’m slow clapping for each and every one of you. It ain’t no joke.”
The Southside with You actress and her mystery partner have kept their relationship pretty secret but did share with The New Potato cooking and lifestlye magazine that her boyfriend makes her a bananas, strawberries and blueberries smoothie for breakfast. Now that’s a keeper! (smile)
Sumpter also opened up a bit about motherhood in a recent interview with Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine and explained why she waited until her third trimester to share with the public that she was expecting.
“She’s my first child, and I wanted to experience every moment of this pregnancy for myself and enjoy it without everybody else being in it with me,” she explained. “I didn’t want to hear, ‘Who’s the dad? Are you with the dad?’ Social media can be harsh, and I’m a mama bear, protective of my family. So, that’s why I waited to tell people, including some friends.”
