Congrats to Lady Antebellum front woman Hillary Scott and her husband Chris Tyrell welcomed their twin girls this week.
The front woman for the famous country group was missing during Sunday night’s telecast of the Grammy Awards because she was busy prepping for the birth of her second and third children.
Band member Dave Haywood delivered the message: “Our girl’s back at home. She’s due any second with twin girls. Couldn’t be more happy for her, but we miss her. We feel so weird without her on the red carpet.”
Scott and Tyrell are parents to4-year old daughter Eisele Kaye.
Scott shared the news about the babies’ arrival.
“Our family is thankful and proud to announce the arrival of our precious baby girls. They were born in the early hours of January 29th, 2018 and we can’t wait to share more about them in the days to come. Thank you to everyone who prayed and prayed for these little ladies, and thank you Lord for healthy babies. #twins.”
The new additions came following the couple’s miscarriage which she talked about with her followers and fans, and even penning a song about the experience. Congrats!
Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott celebrated the impending arrival of her twins recently at an intimate shower with friends the Husk restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Today was the most precious and perfect celebration for our little girls,” the country singer captioned a photo slideshow of the festivities. “One of my favorite parts about today was that a table full of amazing women(a few not pictured ?, and a few unable to attend who we missed tremendously!!) had great fellowship, laughs, and lifted each other up…all while celebrating these two babies who I pray grow up to first be who God has created them to be, but also a melting pot of all of the hearts in this room who love them so much already. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to the hostesses @darlintennessee @jocd_like_ocd @goinbackto & @lindsay.doyle ??? Love y’all so much and thanks to @husknashville for making our bellies REALLY happy!! ❤️”
Love the family style table and rustic table settings in this photo above. It looks like it was a fabulous time. She also shared the most adorable pic babies bump progression pic recently. Love that glow! Gorgeous!
This is Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell’s third and fourth children after suffering a devastating miscarriage earlier which inspired a hit song, “Thy Will” about the ordeal.
The couple announced the news this August in a tender video with their daughter, who they say had been hoping and praying along with mom and dad for another baby.
“You know how you’ve been praying a lot about having a baby and about God giving our family another baby?” Tyrrell says to Eisele in the video. “Well … God has answered that prayer, and Mommy is pregnant with a baby in her belly”.
The 51st annual Country Music Awards went down last night at the on November 8 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Carrie Underwood co-hosted the event for the 10th consecutive year along with Brad Paisley.
P!nk attended with daughter WillowHart and she also performed a heartfelt rendition of her song “Barbies” on stage.
Future mom-of-twinsHillary Scott and her Lady Antebellum band mates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood performed with Darius Rucker and Keith Urban onstage.
She wasn’t the only pregnant star in attendance.

Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott is the latest celebrity expecting twins!
The country singer and her husband Chris Tyrrell announced on Friday that they are expecting twins by posting a very cute video of the two of them explaining the double blessing to their 4-year-old daughter, Eisele Kaye.
“You know how you’ve been praying a lot about having a baby and about God giving our family another baby?” Tyrrell says to Eisele in the video. “Well … God has answered that prayer, and Mommy is pregnant with a baby in her belly”.
It’s welcome news for Scott who suffered a miscarriage not long ago.
She wrote the song “Thy Will” to help herself heal.
“I wrote this song in the middle of experiencing everything that comes with a miscarriage, so it was at my most raw place that I could have ever been when this song truly poured out of me,” she shared about the song.
But in the same twin announcement Instagram post, Scott captioned, “God has answered our family’s countless prayers! Our family is growing … Chris, Eisele, and I wanted to share our DOUBLE portion of joy with you all!”
She added, “Chris nor I have any family history of twins that we can find and are just resting in the profound gift this truly is.”
There was plenty of bumping around at this year’s 2019 Country Music Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.

First-time mom-to-be and recipient of the most nominations of the night, Maren Morris, posed on the red carpet with her husband Ryan Hurd in a baby blue (for the boy she’s carrying maybe) off the shoulder blouse with matching high-waisted floor-length skirt by Honayda and heels by Casadei. Hurd looked dapper in a Dolce & Gabbana suit, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, a Cartier watch and Stephen Webster cufflinks.
Morris walked away with Album of the Year for “GIRL”.
“Best Shot” country singer Jimmie Allen cradled the belly of his pregnant fiance Alexis Gale and Thomas Rhett and his pregnant wife Lauren Akins bumped it up with their daughters, 4-year old Willa and 2-year old Ada.
Stunning host Carrie Underwood looked exquisite in all of her looks including her red carpet dress she posed in with her Canadian ice hockey star hubby Mike Fischer: a sparkling Elie Madi gown featuring a slim sheer over skirt and a tulle cape and train paired with Jimmy Choo heels, Jared Lehr earrings and rings from Loree Rodkin and Maxior.
Other Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums on the carpet included:
Pink (Julea Domani by Zeena Zaki) and family showed up and showed out.
As did singer Jessie James Deckerin Materiel with Tamara Mellon shoes with her husband, former NFL quarterback Eric Decker.
And Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles made a statement with her Christian Siriano pantsuit and cape, with the words “Play our f*@#in records please and thank you” written on the inside by artist Alice Mizrachi. Read about the reason behind the look here!
Did someone send out a memo?? It looks like a bunch of the ladies we’ve covered and whose pregnancies the blog has followed in the past decided to share recent photos of their sweet little ones on Instagram.
Beauty brand Herbal Essences had great intentions when it partnered with over 100 influencers, including the brand’s celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager, Laura Reynoso of Spanglish Fashion, and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott. They countered a prevailing notion that pregnant women are fragile beings and thus, the campaigned asked them to share the amazing things they were able to accomplish while pregnant.
With partnership with Wakefield Research, Herbal Essence sought to uncover what types of unsolicited advice pregnant women get while expecting. More than 60 percent were advised not to exercise when they were carrying, even though exercise is totally safe for most pregnant women, and 59 percent said they were told not to eat the same foods. And nearly 50 percent were told not to complete the same household chores
To prove that pregnancy doesn’t mean slowing down necessarily, the brand released a vide that highlights what real women were able to accomplish while pregnant despite often hearing that they “can’t.” In it, pregnant women are seen working, lifting, dancing, surfing, performing, and more.
Problem: a lot of the activities are not necessarily safe for the babies in the pregnant women’s belly, hence the backlash in social media and among online viewers of the video.
“Just stop. Pregnant women can do most of those things, but shouldn’t,” one commenter wrote in the YouTube comment section to the campaign ad. “They are weaker than their average self, and shouldn’t risk their child’s life just for some dumb movement. Its like these people who text in drive. They are like ‘im a good driver, so i won’t get into an accident’ but end up doing so.”
Another replied, “do exercise, yes, but don’t overdo yourself. You still need energy to have your child.”
Some spoke about how their jobs actually required them to take it easy.
“When I was pregnant I worked as a CNA, and when I informed my charge nurse I was pregnant, she put me on light work,” one commenter said. “I had to take it easy, needed 2 people at all times to do any sort of heavy lifting, etc. Then when I was around 32 weeks along they wouldn’t let me work anymore, FOR THE BABIES SAFETY”
And one totally relatable: “What kind of a woman surfs when she is pregnant? Completely irresponsible.”
The advise from random people may be off base, but recommendations from physicians and medical institutions should be given more weight. For example, the Mayo Clinic suggests pregnant women consider avoiding:
Any exercises that force you to lie flat on your back after your first trimester
Scuba diving, which could put your baby at risk of decompression sickness
Contact sports, such as ice hockey, soccer, basketball and volleyball
Activities that pose a high risk of falling — such as downhill skiing, in-line skating, gymnastics, and horseback riding
Activities that could cause you to hit water with great force, such as water skiing, surfing and diving
Exercise at high altitude
Activities that could cause you to experience direct trauma to the abdomen, such as kickboxing
Hot yoga or hot Pilates
If you do exercise at a high altitude, make sure you know the signs and symptoms of altitude sickness, such as headache and nausea. We’ve covered pregnant women who have faced backlash for weightlifting, running marathons, ice skating, or just exercising a lot, as a lot of celebs who do so are shamed online about.
We haven’t heard from any response from Herbal Essences to their well-meaning campaign. Maybe they’ll just let it blow over.

Kevin Hart, the comedic actor husband to one of our Bellyitch Bump Watch moms-to-be Enicko Parrish, has challenged his fellow celebs to donate $50,000 each to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Many have accepted the challenge.
I was going to share all the celebrities, including some of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch babes who have pledged or donated to help the Houston Hurricane Harvey survivors.
The big name celebs donating include Houstonian Beyoncé, Hillary Scott, and more but The Washington Post’s “Reliable Source” blog did a pretty comprehensive round up so I don’t need to reinvent the wheel.
