RHOP’s Ashley Darby is Expecting After Miscarriage

Posted on February 6, 2019 February 6, 2019

We called it! (well kinda)

Real Housewives of Potomac star Ashley Darby is expecting her first child with her husband Michael Darby.

She shared the news with her fans and followers on Instagram fans on Tuesday.

Very excited to share this special news with you my loves. Michael and I are thrilled to welcome a bundle of joy into our lives. The most incredible gift imaginable! Love and light to you. Please check out our chat with @people ♥️// ?: @dexdelfin #RHOP #babydarby #ashleydarby #michaeldarby

A post shared by Ashley Boalch Darby (@ashleyboalchdarby) on Feb 5, 2019 at 5:45pm PST

“Very excited to share this special news with you my loves,” she captioned a video announcement of herself and Michael that ended with a sonogram and the baby’s due date, July 2019. “Michael and I are thrilled to welcome a bundle of joy into our lives. The most incredible gift imaginable! Love and light to you.”

She gave up the deets to PEOPLE magazine.

“I’m so excited,” the “OZ” Arlington, Virginia restaurant co-owner gushed with the magazine. “When I used to hear people talk about having a child and the miracle of life inside you, I know that sounds great, but then to actually experience it? It’s the most all-encompassing feeling ever. I never imagined I’d feel this much love … it’s the pinnacle!”

This news came right after she suffered a miscarriage last year as well.

“At the time, I didn’t fully understand the magnitude of how it would affect us as a couple and as individuals because we kind of thought it would be a given that we would just be able to have children,” the reality TV star added. “But it was challenging.”

A post shared by Ashley Boalch Darby (@ashleyboalchdarby) on Jan 21, 2019 at 11:27am PST

The former Miss District of Columbia added the miscarriage, “was such a traumatic experience,” but credits her husband who is already a dad of two adult children, ages 24 and 27 from a previous relationship, for getting her buy.

“It was very impactful for him because he understands the feelings of being a dad,” the UUniversity of Maryland alum shares. “It was so new to me, but he could help me through that.”

It’s also after a rough patch documented between season two and three of the hit Bravo TV show. The couple had separated and Ashley was living in her own apartment in VA.

The news of the second pregnancy came as a total surprise.

“We found out in the beginning of November,” she revealed in the magazine. “I had just been healing out of it and I thought I was getting sick because of the change of season. I wasn’t feeling too well. Something just told me to take the test, really not expecting a positive result. And then lo and behold, there were two solid lines.”

There is a Bravo TV baby boom given that Real Housewives franchise creator Andy Cohen just welcomed his first child, a son Benjamin, via surrogate.

The Darby’s co-star Monique Samuels just had her third child, son Chase. Over at the Real Housewives of Atlanta, alum Kenya Moore welcomed her daughter Brooklyn Doris last November while RHOA Friend of the Housewife Shamea Morton Mwagani had her first child, a daughter too, Shya Nyambura, while current Housewife Porsha Williams is expecting her first daughter too.

Real Housewives of Orange County alum Gretchen Rossi announced she and husband Slade are expecting their first child together as well.

Summer Family Home Maintenance: When to Call a Plumber

Posted on June 30, 2018 June 30, 2018

Continuing on a series on Summer projects and preventative damage for families, let’s talk about clogs and bad drainage. Now it’s probably true that a lot of people believe that hiring plumbers to check up on your drains is outrageous and a complete waste of money.

However, preventative maintenance on drain cleaning can make sure that you avoid those costly repairs, sink, shower or toilet flooding, and why hiring a plumber makes sense since their rates are usually cheap for just a simple drain cleaning. It’s better to take baby steps and clean every so often than to wait until something happens to repair it. No one wants sewage flooding in their house, that is disgusting.

When To Call A Plumber For Drain Cleaning

At the absolute first sign of a clog, that’s when you should look into hiring a plumber for drain cleaning. Using baking soda and vinegar along with a plunger can do the trick, but the plumber will professionally clean your pipes for a low rate as well, since it’s just preventative maintenance. Without a regular cleaning, it may be difficult to tell how bad the blockage really is. That’s why it’s usually best to invest in the low rate of hiring a plumber to do the cleaning, and it usually never hurts considering that when hiring a plumber, you usually get what you pay for.

Clogs Are Bad News

Whether you start to notice a clogged toilet, a clogged sink, or a clogged shower, you should still call for regular drain cleaning from a professional service. If it’s a series of clogs or a combination of the two, it may end up being more serious of an issue such as sewer line repair. To avoid the repair, it doesn’t hurt to hire a professional for regular drain cleaning to save money in the long run.

Why Clean Drains?

One major reason to regularly clean your drains is just for plain safety, not just comfort, odor and appearance. The purpose of a drain is to make sure that your wastewater has a place to go and doesn’t stay in your home. This is because wastewater is the main location for mold and bacteria to build up and then you are looking at possible major health problems. Germs from food particles can lead to foodborne illnesses. Grimy bathrooms are also unhealthy, and clogged drains in general are places where moist environments can be a problem because of bacteria buildup.

Preventative maintenance on your drains is important in the long run to prevent flooding, ensure the best health and safety in your home, and to save money by keeping up with this maintenance and not having to invest in major sewer-line repairs or worse.

Kylie Jenner joins Long List of Celebs Who Don’t Show Their Babies Faces Online; Here’s Why

Posted on June 15, 2018 November 5, 2020

I saw a few reports about how makeup mogul and reality TV star Kylie Jenner has selected to stop showing her daughter Stormi’s face on social media after a few mean trolls left nasty comments about the infant.

As Celebrity Baby Scoop reported, “fans noticed that Stormi’s face was hidden and one follower, in particular, noted that she had ‘cut her baby out’, Jenner replied, ‘Yeah I cut my baby out. I’m not sharing photos of my girl right now.'”

Reportedly, she was excited to share her baby with the world but has had to retreat amidst the mean trolls, and her beau and Stormi’s dad Travis Scott is doing the same, only showing her tiny Nikes in a recent Snap Story.

I cannot say I blame her. One of this blog’s most viewed post is about Aoki Lee, the brilliant daughter of Russell Simmons and our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Kimora Lee Simmons, who avoids posting photos of her face on her own Instagram page, and how I believe it stems from nasty comments from the public about her looks.

The harsh critique from the public probably explains why Beyonce famously shielded her daughter Blue Ivy‘s face when she shared photos of her during her infancy to toddler years, and Kelly Rowland for the first year of her son’s life as well.

If you follow actress Zoe Saldana‘s social media, you will see that she was telling t to share a photo of her twin boys, Cy and Bowie and their baby brother either but has recently.

Over the pond, singer and TV presenter Rochelle Humes features many snaps of her daughters on Instagram but none of her face.

Another one of this blog’s bumpwatch alums Keisha Knight-Pulliam also refuses to show her daughter Ella Grace’s face on social media.

Then there are the other extremes who don’t show their children’s faces at all, like Kerry Washington, Eva Mendes, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively until recently.

The fans demand it, and many fuss about being denied the chance to gawk at their babies, as if it their right like these who commented under one of Knight-Pulliam’s pics.

And those who do share like Tia Mowry and Solange Knowles have found themselves having to snap back and put mean trolls in their place who called both their sons ugly, as recently as a few years ago.

These reactions prove why it is not a bad idea to keep something private.

15 Celeb Moms Celebrating Mother’s Day First Time

Posted on May 14, 2018 May 14, 2018

There were a lot of celebrity births over the past year which means yesterday, plenty of celebrity women we’ve “bumpwatched” and became moms for the first time ever were able to celebrate their first Mother’s Day.

One trend we noticed among this latest crop of first time moms: either they’ve concealed their babies from the spotlight, and laid low since becoming a mom or they’ve been all in, giving their babies their own Instagram or making them the star of the parents social media feed. No in between. All In or Nothing. Whatever floats their boat, we’re sure each had a great time yesterday celebrating Mom’s Day for the first time since their babies were born. Here is a run down:

International human rights attorney Amal Clooney and husband George Clooney are very private people, yet the arrival of their first set of children, twins —a boy named Alexander and girl named Ella— was big news  yet, the Clooneys have yet to talk about them in the public other than George revealing their first words were  “Mamma!”

Tennis legand Serena Williams and her husband Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian welcomed their daughter Alexis Olympia last September and now the duo are stars of an HBO docu series about her arrival.

Khloe Kardashian was one of three of the Kardashian-Jenner women who welcomed a baby this year. Her sister Kylie Jenner had her first baby while Kim Kardashian welcomed her third child via surrogate. She had managed to stay out of  spotlight since giving birth to True (with her estranged boyfriend NBA Cleveland Cavaliers star Tristan Thompson) in April 2017.

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross and and her two-time Super Bowl champ hubby Aaron Ross welcomed their baby boy, Aaron Ross II in August.

The youngest of the Jenner-Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner  welcomed her daughter Stormi with boyfriend Travis Scott on February 1 and she did an excellent job keeping the entire pregnancy under wraps.

It was last Mother’s Day 2017 that Kevin Hart announced that his wife, Eniko Hart, was expecting their first child. Their son Kenzo Kash made his grand debut in November and every since he’s been one of the happiest babies around!

Bring It On star Kirsten Dunst also did a great job covering up the majority of her pregnancy and only revealed it when she was well into her third trimester while posing for an ad campaign. She welcomed a baby boy this month with fiancé Jesse Plemons and they too have yet to even discuss baby since he arrived.

On May 2, Jordin Sparks and her husband, model Dana Isaiah Thomas welcomed their first child together,  son Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr.  and the American Idol alum stunned everyone when she was spotted walking the red carpet just three days later. Wow!

Julia Stiles and her husband Preston J. Cook welcomed their son Strummer Newcomb Cook on Oct. 20, 2017. The Silver Linings Playbook star was recently “mommy shamed” for the say she carried her baby in a carrier but clapped back like a champ.

POWER star Naturi Naughton welcomed her daughter, Zuri in July 2017 and she too has been great about keeping her little one out of the public eye but we’re sure she is a looker like her mom.

The Southern Charm star Cameran Eubanks  had her daughter Palmer on Nov. 11, 2017. After celebrating with a hilarious shower, Eubanks has since shared lots about mommyhood on her Insta!

The Hills Babyboom

Lauren Conrad led the little baby boom of alums of the MTV show The Hills when she welcomed her first child, son  Liam, on July 5 with her hubbie William Tell. Since becoming a mom, she too has laid low but pops up once in a while to show off her mom power!

HEIDI PRATT

Heidi Pratt who was Conrad’s nemesis on the show and her husband Spencer Pratt also welcomed a baby boy named Guinner on October 12017 but unlike the others, they’re pretty out and open about sharing photos of him in social media.

Finally, Whitney Port had her first child Sonny with husband Tim Rosenman in July 2017 and was very transparent about the trials of pregnancy on her YouTube channel but looks to believe it was all worth it.

Shamari DeVoe

Former 90s bandmember and wife to New Edition singer Ronnie DeVoe, singer Shamari Stone DeVo  welcomed boy twins, Ronnie III and Roman last October. The boys are so popular they even have their own top social media Instagram account with tons of followers.

3 Things We’re Really Loving This Spring

Posted on May 5, 2018 May 5, 2018

We regularly get offered products to check out for our readers. It can get overwhelming but a few catch our eye and we agree to check them out and provide honest feedback of the complimentary products. We went through our stash and here are three products, in particular, we’re really digging this early Spring:

Earth Day might have been last month, but we really should be protecting the earth all year. That’s what we love about eco-friendly companies like Eco by Naty.  The Swiss company is touted to be the #1 innovative ecological company in the global baby segment.

It is a vet thin this space too. The 24-year old company has invested heavily in research and development to find the best organic materials. In fact, the company is the first to receive a two-star certified by Vincotte – probably the world’s most demanding ecological organization. Since founding, Naty has branched out into a baby toiletry line, creating a 95% renewable clean potty, a 100% organic clothing line and an eco-toiletry line including a chemical free feminine care line and a 100% organic maternity/diaper bag.

Our staff reviewer checked out the Eco by Naty‘s baby wipes and found them to be quite soft and supple. They cleaned off poop of baby  bum very easily. The diaper pants are great and easy to wear and have good absorption. The panty liner for women and easy to wear and feels like you don’t even have them on.

They get a positive review from the team! Get a FREE trial of the diapers for FREE! Woot!

—

We are also fans of self-care. Now, whether you’re expecting or just another busy mom, we think you deserve the rejuvenation that comes with spa services. Not everyone can afford to venture to a day spa but most people can afford an in home spa experience using products like Hydra Bliss Hydrating Body Wash by Softsoap. They come in scents of coconut water, blueberry, cucumber water and mint.

The staff checked out the line and one said they  are” literally the best soaps  I’ve ever used” adding that “the coconut and blueberry soap permeates the room as soon as you open the bottle. The soap feels so smooth as it falls on your skin and  the lather is rich  and creamy.”

She added, “my skin didn’t feel dry and was supple after showering. I didn’t even have to use lotion after soaping because the natural oils of my skin came to the surface.  Both soaps gave me the same results; but the scent of the mint in the cucumber water and mint lasted all day  on my skin and was so refreshing. LOVED THEM!!!

Finally, for baby, we definitely recommend you invest in You’re My Little Cuddle Bug board book by Nicola Edwards and illustrated by Natalie Marsha (retail: $7.49) . We loved this book. The colors were bright, engaging and captivating.  Babies will love the content story and the drawings and colors will keep their attention as it did with our blog babies.

We would definitely recommended as a book for story time with your kids!!

There you have it! Share with us what you’re digging this Spring. Find us on social at Bellyitch everywhere! (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest)

Before You Agree To Be A Pregnant Bridesmaid, 5 Things To Consider

Posted on March 26, 2018 March 26, 2018

Wedding Season is coming up so this is an oldie but goodie post for all you moms-to-be out there who have been asked to be a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding:

It is a truth universally acknowledged that every bride-to-be shall be in want of a good bridesmaid…or three. And chances are that when a friend comes to you basking in that newly engaged glow and asks you to be one those bridesmaids, you’ll jump at the chance to support her on her big day:

The dancing! The shoes! The dresses! The CAKE!. Before you can say “yellow organza chiffon,” you’ve committed to being a bridesmaid and all that the honor entails. But what if you are expecting to have a big (and getting bigger) event of your own sometime in the next nine months?

1.THE COST

While the costs associated with being a bridesmaid can vary from wedding to wedding, one thing is certain: a baby on the way means unexpected expenses will be particularly unwelcome. After all, your priorities are changing, and whether it’s saving for diapers or a college fund, you want to make sure being a bridesmaid won’t mean being expected to pony up for expenses you soon won’t be able to afford. Accordingly, it’s important to clarify just what kinds of expenses will be expected of you ahead of time. A few to inquire after:

A. Will you be responsible for your dress, or will the bride pick up the tab? The same goes for those dyed shoes and your fabulous wedding day up-do and manicure.

B. If travel is involved, how costly will that be? Airfare, cab fare, hotel and eating out should all be considered.

C. How much (if any) will you be expected to contribute to a shower or bachelorette activities?

2. THE DRESS

Since bridesmaids dresses are known for being so lovely and flattering, finding a dress that will work while you are pregnant should be no problem at all! Um, yeah… Back on planet earth, bridesmaids dresses can be itchy, lumpy, scratchy, and pinchy (yes, you know pinchy is a word). But this is not to say that you cannot totally rock the pregnant bridesmaid look as long as you keep a few things in mind.

A. Comfort and Fit: Ultimately, you want a dress that flatters your figure and that you’ll feel great wearing. Look for a flowing empire-waisted gown, or a dress that can be ‘enhanced’ with an extra panel to accommodate that lovely baby bump of yours!

B. Alterations: Make sure you’ve got a good tailor who will be able to make last minute alterations a little bit in advance of the wedding date. As you know, all of those measurements are going to change. And then change some more.

C. Support: Speaking of those changing measurements, the right maternity bra can do wonders for a girl’s mood at a wedding, not to mention her back! Once you reach your third trimester, you will likely need to trade in those lacy bras and reach for something more substantial. Just don’t forget to make sure that your maternity bra works with your dress as the date nears.

3. YOUR DUE DATE

Let’s put this right out there: Going into labor at your friend’s wedding is not ideal. If your due date falls very close to the wedding date (or even within a month), you should feel free to humbly decline being in the wedding. Consulting with your doctor is also a good idea, as he or she will have likely dealt with this issue in the past and can make an individualized recommendation. However, if your due date is farther afield from the wedding date, then the most important factor to consider is likely to be travel. While most airlines will allow pregnant women to travel through their eighth month, you need to consider what your own personal comfort level will be.

Tips for safe air travel while pregnant include walking the aisles on your flight to prevent blood clots, drinking lots of water, and wearing your seatbelt under your belly rather than across it. Travelling during pregnancy can be challenging, but if you and your doctor think you are up for it, then you’re a go.

Just one thing though: You know those teeny tiny airplane bathrooms? Need we say more?

4. THE TIME COMMITMENT

She’s the friend who consoled you that time you broke up with that jerk during freshman year…and then consoled you again when you broke up with that other jerk that next year. She’s been with you through thick and thin and late night pizza runs. So of course you want to be the absolute best bridesmaid possible. But take a moment to consider what that might mean: stuffing invitations, licking stamps, shopping for wedding favors, liking her Facebook posts, and talking. Lots and lots of talking. You owe it to yourself and to your friend to think realistically about what you can handle during your pregnancy. No friend wants you to overtax yourself while you should be focusing on your health and the health of your baby. Let her know your concerns and ask in the gentlest way possible what will be expected of you so that you can both make an educated decision.

Going to a Wedding Soon? Need A Dress?

5. THE FRIENDSHIP STYLE

Before you say yes, think about the type of friendship/relationship that you have with the bride. Is it filled with drama or is it mostly peaceful?Communication will be key to making this situation work. She needs to understand that there will be times during this pregnancy that you will be tired, anxious, or painting adorable ducks on a nursery wall, and therefore will be unable to check out her Pinterest board right this moment. And you will have to understand that this is one of the most exciting times in her life, and that she will need your support throughout, even if your feet are swollen and throbbing, and the ducks need painting. If you two have that covered, the rest of the stuff will be a breeze.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Being asked to be a bridesmaid is an honor, for sure, and it’s no wonder you might be tempted to fill such a position for a friend you care about so dearly. But true friendship means knowing your limitations — something your friend should likewise honor and respect. And don’t worry: if you can’t participate as a bridesmaid, there are plenty of other ways to show your friend you care throughout this process. So, consider your next steps carefully and you’re sure to make the decision that will best balance your friendship and your own needs. And by the way, congratulations!

How to Fake the Pregnancy Glow (STEP by STEP)

Posted on February 24, 2018 February 24, 2018

We share the secret of getting a beautiful pregnancy glow out of a bottle!

Theoretically pregnancy is meant to make you glow, its a biological ‘fact’. The increased amount of blood that’s circulating around your body is meant to give you a beautifully flushed look and as your skin retains more moisture and produces more sebum you’re meant to be glowing with a luminous dewy sheen – sound familiar?

Don’t worry if not, the combination of nausea, lack of sleep and sensitive skin experienced by many mums-to-be doesn’t lend itself well to natural radiance. Thankfully its easy to fake it – we explain how to get that ‘movie star’ pregnancy glow and only you need know its not real!

Step 1 – The Start

The first place to start is on the inside, drinking 8 – 10 glasses of water a day will do wonders for clearing your skin and helping to flush out water retention too. A good prenatal vitamin combined with a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruit, vegetables and omega rich foods will help too.

Step 2 – The Cleanser

Whether you suffer from dry, normal or oily skin its important to wash your face thoroughly twice a day. Using a gentle exfoliater such as Botanics In Shower Facial Polish will help to remove dead skin cells and improve circulation, banishing dull skin for good.

For best results apply in circular motions with your fingertips and rinse off with lukewarm water. Patting rather than rubbing your face dry can also help prevent blotchy skin and spider veins as you’re less likely to break the tiny capillaries that sit just under the surface of your skin.

Step 3 – The Moisturizer

Using a good moisturizer after cleansing is a must for gorgeous glowing skin. Massaging a fragrance free, sensitive moisturizer such as OZ Naturals Facial Moisturizer  into your face and neck will really help to give your complexion a lift without irritating your skin. If possible it’s best to go for a moisturizer that contains an SPF factor to protect your skin against the sun’s harmful rays especially as this can also help to reduce the likelihood of chloasma (brown patches) developing.

Step 4 – The Base

Blend a light base into your skin with your fingertips. It’s specially designed to conceal dark circles and skin imperfections with minimal effort so you needn’t spend hours blending for that flawless finish. Tinted moisturizers and foundations like stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer SPF contain light reflecting particles are also great for giving that dewy, smooth finish we all wish we had naturally.

Step 5 – The Blush

Recreate that gorgeous flushed look and perk up a grey complexion with a swirl of pink blush on the apples of your cheeks. A slightly shimmery, rosy color is always a good bet as it fakes a really healthy glow in an instant. I like Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick because it accommodates all complexions.

Step 6 – The Highlighter

Blending a peach toned highlighter along your cheek and brow bones will really help to lift your look and mimic that pregnancy sheen in seconds. You only need to use a dot and you’ll be able to recreate that ‘slept like a baby look’ on the sly. MAC’s Primed for Perfection Prep + Prime Highlighter brings a soft, sheer wash of color to the skin and goes on smoothly.

STEP 7 – THE MASCARA

A sensitive mascara in black/brown will be gentler and more flattering on tired eyes. Curl your eyelashes first for a really wide awake look. You can’t go wrong with the old drug store fave, Maybeline’s Great Lash that usually runs under $5!

Step 8 – The Lips

To top off your gorgeously glowy look a sheer lipstick is a must. Go for a shade that’s as close to your natural lip color as possible as this will really help to finish your ‘natural’ look. Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip is a light gel that has a plumping effect.

So, now you’ve faked radiant, glowing skin all you need to do is smile and pretend that you feel as gorgeous as you look!

Kylie Jenner Hired a Nanny and Is Back to Sexy Selfies

Posted on February 15, 2018 February 15, 2018

Valentine’s Day 2018 is extra special for Kylie Jenner; She is celebrating the holiday of love with her littlest love

Two weeks ago, the 20-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians and social media star gave birth to a daughter, Stormi Webster, her and Travis Scott‘s first child. She announced the news on Instagram, marking her first confirmation that she had been pregnant, following multiple reports over the past few months. Kylie had also kept out of the spotlight during the later stages of her pregnancy. She has since resumed posting more regularly on social media and on Wednesday, Valentine’s Day, shared a mirror selfie of herself posing on the floor in a black sweatshirt and matching shorts and stiletto boots.

Kylie is “happy she can slowly emerge into the public again,” a source told E! News exclusively, saying, “Kylie is in a really good place right now, and is loving being a mom.”

“Her relationship with Travis has made huge strides since having baby Stormi, and they are back in a good place,” the source said. “Travis has been staying overnight at Kylie’s several times a week when he is not working or out of town and has also been giving Kylie her time to bond with the baby alone. Kylie is like a new person now; every move and every decision she makes, she takes Stormi into consideration. She is obsessed with her baby and the focus is all on Stormi.”

The source also said that she has had a lot of help with the baby from mom Kris Jenner and BFF Jordyn Woods and that “recently, Kylie hired a nurse/nanny to help her, which she didn’t think she was going to do at first.”

“All of her sisters are constantly checking in with her and coming over to the house to visit Stormi,” the source added. “Kylie asks for advice all the time. She did prepare for the baby with several specialists and took private classes so she was well-prepared beforehand.”

Before Kylie revealed Stormi’s name, many people speculated that her name was inspired by butterflies.

“When Travis and Kylie started dating, Kylie became obsessed with Travis’ song “Butterfly Effect”, and butterflies became ‘their thing’ to describe their relationship that was blossoming into something beautiful,” the source said. “Storm is somewhat related to the butterfly effect and that’s why they decided on the name.”

As for Kylie and Travis’ relationship, they are in no rush to walk down the aisle.

“Kylie is not engaged, however that ring she has been wearing is from Travis,” the source said. “He gave it to her when she was first pregnant and it has several emerald-cut diamonds. They are in no rush to get married or even engaged, and Stormi is their only priority right now.”

The source also talked about Kylie’s post-pregnancy health regimen.

“Her sisters have tried to get her to workout with them but she has never been a fan of it,” the source said. “Since having Stormi, she is still not super focused on the baby weight, and knows that majority of the weight will come off naturally. She has been eating healthier but she isn’t very strict like her sisters.”

Meanwhile, Stormi has been showered with gifts. Kylie had showcased many of Stormi’s outfits and shoes in her nursery in a pregnancy and baby reveal video.

“Kylie thinks it’s so fun to dress her every morning, and loves organizing Stormi’s baby closet,” the source said. “She has received SO many gifts from friends and family members, and Stormi basically takes up a huge chunk of her house now.”

So I Got a New Radio Syndicated TV Gig

Posted on February 11, 2018 February 11, 2018

Followers of this website may or may not know that I wear a lot of hats in addition to being a content creator and editor of this blog .

I manage a tech blog, a biz blog which has a 10 minute podcast associated with it, a hair blog and an online learning platform which has its own YouTube channel and Etsy shop.

I also have a stock photo company dedicated to showcasing diverse and inclusive imagery.

I don’t cross promote my many many other projects for the sake of keeping them independent but I did want to announce that I have yet another gig!

Last week, I started taping what promises to be a fantastic, informative, entertaining and dynamic new radio show called “Coming to America” hosted by a very old friend who I used to do publicity for when I had a PR agency.

Her name is Wayna. I’ve featured her on the blog before and she was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2009. Since then, she had toured internationally and most famously with the renowned Stevie Wonder during his last global “Songs in the Keys of Life” Tour. She is shifting and is the host of this new show that features myself as a panelist along with Peabody Award-winning hip hop artist, journalist and activist Asheru Denn and DJ Roddy Rod who has produced hits for Raheem DeVaughn, and several other notable, award-winning artists.

The show will air on DC Radio which broadcasts on Howard University’s HD FM Channel. WHUR 96.3 HD4. It is being video taped by the Ethiopian Broadcasting Servicr which reaches millions of household in Africa, globally and via their ROKU channel. The television syndicated version will also be broadcast on DC’s Cable channel. The show will also stream and be on a podcast!

We discuss life for those in the DC area who are expats, recent and veteran immigrants from the African, Caribbean, Latin America Diaspora and beyond. We feature accomplished guests from the community and hope to inspire, edify and provide a refreshing additional voice to the media and airwaves.

I taped the first show last week and had a blast! We featured Grammy-Award nominated blind jazz artist Raul Midon who shared some awesome stories about his road to stardom and the trials and tribulations of doing so without the benefit of full sight.

I’ll append clips to the full show to this post when they go live! And will share more deets where you can tune in! Thanks!

We now return to your regularly scheduled blog!
