This 2-yr Old Instagram Star Just Launched Her Own Fashion Line

Seriously!?! Someone’s 22-month old baby just launched her own fashion line.

An Australian toddler, with an expansive wardrobe, by the name of Mille-Belle Diamond boasts 144,000 Instagram followers and, according to the Daily Mail Australia, is set to sell a line of sequinned capes and jackets, fur coats, leather caps and studded leather jackets.

The IG account describes Mille-Belle as a “fashion and travel blogger”.  It’s 2015. There’s no need to know how to talk to be a blogger. ?

Mille-Belle’s venture will be called MBD- The label.

“The new line will be a luxe line for babies and will also cater to that niche market for mums and bubs matching fashion,” the blonde-haired, blue-eyed Instagram star’s mom Schye Fox, told the paper. “We are getting the pieces made from the best in the world so we have people from all over the world working on it for us.”

Wow! Ok. WTG, baby. Well. WTG, Mom because really, the baby really isn’t doing any of this. Ha!

After 47 years, Oprah Winfrey finally Gives her Deceased Premature Son a Name

oprah winfrey son

It took 47 years, but yesterday Oprah Winfrey finally decided on a name for the premature baby she gave birth to at age 14: Canaan.

During a stop on the business mogul’s “An Evening with Oprah Winfrey” tour in Melbourne, Australia yesterday, December 2,  the former talk show host and business tycoon told an audience the name and how she came to decide on it.

“I did an interview with a reporter before I came to Australia and she said you should name the baby son who died,” Winfrey announced to attendees of the event. “So I have named him, I had a little boy named Canaan.”

The declaration looks like it represents growth towards the acceptance and release of the shame associated with her traumatic childhood.

“I did have a son and I named him Canaan because Canaan means new land, new life,” she said.

The media mogul also talked intimately about the circumstances that led to the pregnancy and the  feelings she had around the time she was forced to carry a baby to term at such a young age.

“I was raped at nine years old by a cousin, then again by another family member, and another family member,” news.com.au reports she said, before adding  that she tried to conceal her growing baby bump because of the “pain and shame” she felt.

The baby eventually died and remained a secret until 1990 when a family member made the news public.  Following that unauthorized leak, Winfrey said she was concerned the news would impact her career negatively.

“I took to my bed and cried for three days,” she wrote in a February 2007 issue of O! The Oprah Magazine. “I felt devastated. Wounded. Betrayed. How could this person do this to me?”

She added, “I imagined that every person on the street was going to point their finger at me and scream, ‘Pregnant at 14, you wicked girl … expelled!’ [But] I soon realized that having the secret out was liberating. What I learned for sure was that holding the shame was the greatest burden of all.”

So wonderful to learn that not only is she freed from the burden of that secret but she may have gotten some closure or at least greater acceptance of her past by coming up with a name at last.

How triumphant it is!

Preggophiles are Stealing women’s Baby Bump Photos Shared Online

Be careful about posting your bump photos online.

Men who frequent a pregnancy fetish website have been stealing pregnant women’s online photos and using those pics to lure other pregnant women to share their baby bump photos.

The Australian version of the Daily Mail recently featured the story of one woman of multiples who discovered someone had stolen her baby bump photo from online and was using it to entice other multiples to share their photos.

Australian mom Megan Ireland “was stunned to discover a mysterious vagrant was using her picture to solicit other women into posting their belly shots for a pregnancy fetish website,” Daily Mail reports.

“It makes me feel sick,” Ireland told Daily Mail Australia. “That’s my child in my stomach and people out there are doing really gross things.”

The revelation led several Australian groups dedicated to multiples to issue warnings about one particular person doing the stealing.

Those who comply would fall victim of their pics too being taken and posted among users of preggophile.com.

But this isn’t a new problem, as I have pointed out about the fetish before on rh blog, and I’m certain there are others out there doing the same, not just this one guy.

I’ve seen quite a few Instagram pages that encourage women to send in their pregnant photos. Sadly, many comply not knowing that they may fall trap to some online group’s perverse fascination of pregnant women.

Here are a few that raised some eyebrows with me:

http://instagram.com/babybellyblog1

http://instagram.com/pregiful2

I’ve also had odd requests from random men in the past including some from dudes who describe the “pregnant belly form” in an extraordinarily sexual way.

A few times, male-run pregnancy adoration sites have asked me to exchange Links and posts.

Um…no sir. You and your pervy friends can take your pregnancy fetish over there and away from my blog. Please and thanks.

5 Things to Take on your Beach Trip with the Kids This August

beach essentials bellyitchblog.com

Summer is coming to a close.

If you haven’t already made it to a beach, either locally or while on vacay, this is the last month to really get it in before school returns. My family has already made one local beach trip and hope to get in at least one weekend or week-long trip before September.

I’m researching and packing for my trip and here are the things I’m planning on taking and recommend:

 1

I have my eye on Kohl‘s crochet coverall for the beach. It’s gone down in price from $55 to $33 recently so I’m set! It’s a cool because it is white which is a great color for a super hot day and it looks like a nice sheath dress on  its own. I will feel comfortable throwing this one and walking in and out of stores on the boardwalk or while reading a book under our sand tent. Scope out the end of summer sales now and you’ll likely to pick up a similar style in a reasonable price locally as well.

2

hello kitty

For the kids, I’m using the Hello Kitty lip balm that new Hello Kitty SPF 30 lip balm the brand sent me to try out (value: $1.99). The Tangerine Tango flavor is lip smacking yummy and it will keep the kids lips from getting chafed and sunburned. We already used it for our earlier trip and it did the trick and my daughter was psyched because she is already a brand loyalist to Hello Kitty.  The line is made skin caring ingredients like Jojoba, Sunflower Seed Oil, Pomegranate and Vitamin E to deliver sun protection with exceptional skin care. Fun! The brand also sells sunscreen as well, available at all drugstores nationwide, or via my Amazon.com partners HERE!

3

For the kids, to keep them shaded, cool and protected from harmful UV rays, we’re going to outfit them in some pretty cool sun hats in neutral colors that will match their outfits and their various bathing suits for the summer. I like the San Diego Company‘s seersucker striped sun hat for infants which retails for about $19 and can be picked up at Zappos.com.

4

You’ll have to take a couple of beach totes. We plan to. We will go with a cheaper vinyl  or straw bag from storage or pick up a low-cost one from Wal-Mart to store towels or coverups and shorts to wear on the boardwalk.  It’s a good idea to use one that will be best able to handle wet and sandy clothes. Also, I like to take my Tommy Hilfiger tote to hole my snacks, sunglasses, magazines or books and my iPhone. It’s only about $48 and it is stylish.

5

The kids love to take their play tent with them because it is easy to set up and provides a cool hideout to chill in while taking a break from splashing about in the water. When done, it folds back up into a handy portable bag that even your smallest one can tote back to the car.

Consider some of these suggestions and do enjoy your last full month of Summer vacation, everyone!

Another model’s post-partum selfie sends women into a frenzy

Another brand new mom is catching heat for showing off her super thin bounced back body weeks after delivering.
In a caption to the above photo that Australian model Erin McNaught shared on her Instagram account, she wrote, “4 weeks PP [post partum] and I’m starting to get my stomach back!”…adding that “aside from lots of walking and eating healthy, I’ve been doing loads of pelvic floor and transverse abdominus exercises. Still no traditional ab work which is driving me crazy! #bodyafterbaby”.
The comments from mainly women were not so supportive, especially from those who say McNaught was pushing a false and unrealistic standard on average women who 1. don’t have the genes she was blessed with that enable her to be naturally thin; and 2. neither can afford an army of personal chefs, nannies, trainers and other help to get them looking like her after baby.
To be fair, McNaught did share with The Fix that she had a very fit pregnancy.
“I’m doing a little bit of yoga but mostly more high-intesity stuff,” she told the magazine while on the red carpet to the PEOPLE‘s Sexiest People issue reveal last October. “I still do Body Attack and Nike training and all of that!”
Check her out during pregnancy and it becomes apparent why and how she was able to look like that.
This is not the first time a celebrity woman has caught flak for sharing an unreal post-baby body weeks after delivery.
Silvana Philippoussis, the model wife of tennis star Mark Philippoussis caught heat last September when she too posted her post baby body on Instagram commenting, ” Finally found the courage to post this…Me. 2 wks after giving birth! Ladies, I know every body’s different but trust me when I say: – Don’t forget to suck in your postpartum tummy’s!”
She added, “It’s the fastest most natural way to get your tummy back into shape:) I gave myself a few days to recover after birth then started sucking in a little everyday to ge my stomach muscles working again – every little bit counts! #iamoldfashioned #iforgetthewaistband #youcandoit #justdoit.”
Um…yeah….

And in 2013, fitness blogger Caroline Berg Eriksen also got some of it when she posted this above photo just 4 days after giving birth! DAYS!
It caused me too personally to backlash against gossip media which celebrate and put on their covers these post-baby bodies of these celebrities which serve to denigrate regular woman who cannot achieve such rapid loss and pump up arrogant men who love to shame women for not getting skinny after baby.
It all contributes to pregorexia where women intentionally withhold food and nutrients from themselves and their babies in order to avoid gaining too much weight during pregnancy.

There needs to be a balance between being a bully of other moms, as fitness pro Maria Kang was accused of being when she asked, “what’s your excuse” for not looking as good as her after having a baby…and being motivational.

Cause really, no one who has had a tough time losing weight would ever ask another woman, why they too couldn’t do it.

Just my thoughts. Chime in below:

‘I am Eleven’ movie features stories from children worldwide turning 11-years old

Last week on September 12, the documentary, “I am Eleven” which features several children around the world turning 11 opened in theaters worldwide.  From the creators:

Australian filmmaker Genevieve Bailey  traveled the world for six years talking with 11-year-olds to compose this insightful, funny and moving portrait of childhood. From an orphanage in India to a single-parent household in inner-city Melbourne, to bathing with elephants in Thailand, this documentary explores the lives and thoughts of children from all around the world. It weaves together deeply personal and at times hilarious portraits of what it means to stand on the cusp between childhood and adolescence, that fleeting moment when childish naiveté has faded, yet teenaged self-consciousness has not yet taken hold. These young minds, still unguarded and remarkably honest, offer a powerful insight into the future of our world.

The documentary had an 8-month theatrical run in Australia, winning several cinema awards, before hitting the US market this month.

Check out  iameleven.com/usa for cinema listings in America to see where it plays near you.

Cameron Diaz reacts to outcry over her ‘Esquire’ comments about choosing to be Child Free

Cameron Diaz has reacted to public outcry over her comments in the August issue of  Equire  magazine highlighting the fact she has no desire to become a mother.

It isn’t the first time Diaz has revealed this tidbit about her personal life. She told Parade magazine essentially the same thing in 2009.  But this recent revelation in Esquire is new for a lot of people
The Sex Tape star told the magazine:

To have lives besides your own that you are responsible for — I didn’t take that on. A baby, that’s all day, every day for 18 years,’ Not having a baby might really make things easier, but that doesn’t make it an easy decision. I like protecting people, but I was never drawn to being a mother.

Diaz was shocked by all the outcry over her comments. In response to the heated opposition and debate over her personal decision to be childfree,  Diaz told an Australian news site, “people like to project.”

She added, “I think (the reaction) comes from people wanting to feel good about their own decisions. Just because I don’t have children now, they might look at their life and think, ‘Oh, you have a choice? I didn’t have to do this yet?’
The Charlies’ Angels  actress continued“I don’t really feel the pressure of it. I have never declared anything about whether I will or won’t have a family. Or whether I will or won’t get married. I am a very present person. I am very happy where I am at.”
Top: Oprah Winfrey, Kim Cattrall, Cameron Diaz, George Clooney, Chelsea Handler, Bottom: Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, Renee Zelwegger, Margaret Cho and Janean Garofolo have all openly said they do not desire to be parents.
If she could re-do her career all over again, Diaz said she would have been firm about not sharing her personal life with the public.
“ I would have just said to people, ‘You know what, that’s a very personal question. It’s really none of your business’.”
Nonetheless, Diaz hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of children.
“I don’t know the future but I am very open to anything that might happen. If I decide I want to bring a child into my life, then when that day comes I will do it. But it’s not one of those things that I concern myself with at the moment.”

I did a post back in 2010 about the struggles between those that are purposefully child-free and the challenges they face in a world that favors parenting and presupposes most people of child bearing years want to eventually become parents.
Check it out if you can HERE.
