For the first time in the blog’s history, Bellyitch, is heading to the annual BlogHer conference in New York City, held next week August 2 to 4. Three women founded the conference in 2005 in response to brands and readers asking, “Where are the women bloggers?” Since then, the three have formed a media company that now includes a publishing network with over 3,000 blogs, and an online community for women bloggers. According to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, among Internet users, 14 percent of men and 11 percent of women blog, the New York Times reported in a piece about last year’s conference.
It added that “a study conducted by BlogHer and Compass Partners last year found that 36 million women participate in the blogosphere each week, and 15 million of them have their own blogs.”
Thanks to our sponsor website Cheap Signs, which lets enterprising businesses order low cost signs, banners, promotional items at a super low price, Bellyitch will have plenty of promotional items featuring the new logo that will be revealed this week. Several hundred readers voted last month on the various entries receieved during a logo search, and we have a winner!
Signs on the Cheap creates made-to-order car signs for as low as $5.99 a piece and its sister site Banners create banners for as low as $12, which is a fraction of the cost that stores like Staples and FedexOffice charge. Finally, another affiliated site Car Magnetshttp://www.magnetsonthecheap.com/ sell refrigerator magnets and car magnets for as low as $8.88.
Each site has an easy design tool that permits users to design their own image to appear on the product, or, even better, there are existing visually appealing templates with professional graphic designs that can be customized for your particular business.
It’s a no brainer for Schools, civic organizations, nonprofits, start ups, contractors, consultants, and those who have side businesses to use this lower cost option. You get the same quality product that all the big boys have for pennies on the dollar.
We’re so excited to attend the conference and are grateful for Signs on the Cheap for helping us make sure we make a mark and have a strong brand identity we can leave behind!
