Bandier is music industry royalty and once managed the popular R&B group TLC with her then husband in the 1990s. She is also the daughter of Sony/ATV Music Publishing chief executive Martin Bandier.
After a string of different serial entrepreneurship endeavors (she owned a bag shop and an by appointment only vintage shop before), Bandier settled on the high-end women’s fitness apparel market and opened up her first shop in Southhampton, New York. After its success among fit moms who crave quality constructed and stylish fitness wear, Bandier quickly opened up another shop on Fifth Avenue that same year.

Don’t worry California and Florida moms, Bandier is coming soon to you too, the New York Times reports. The company, which has stores in Southampton and the Upper East Side of New York, also has luxury shopping centers in Manhasset, N.Y., and Dallas.
