Congratulations to R&B star Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) and his wife Crystal Williams Smith on the birth of their first child together just a three weeks after getting married. Crystal announced the news on her Instagram by sharing a sweet photo of herself holding her newborn son’s hand.

“Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr has arrived,” she wrote. “6 pounds 8oz, 19 inches. It was the scariest delivery ever and I ended up getting a emergency C-section because of complications.
“With the help of my amazing doctor and my super calming husband I was able to get through it all and come out with best reward in the world,” the Instagram model turned reality TV star further wrote.
This is the couple’s first child together. The singer-songwriter and producer has a daughter, 5-year old Madilyn Grace, and son 4-year old Mason Evan with his former longtime partners Monyetta Shaw.
Ne-Yo announced he was expecting back in September 2015. The day before sharing the delivery news, Crystal posted some beautiful black and white maternity photos. I’m loving her braids also!
