After 7 Year Break to be a Mom, Gwen Stefani Returns Energetic and Gorg as Ever

In case you missed the phenomenal performance videos of one of my all time fave singers, and Bellytich Bumpwatch alum, Gwen Stefani during her appearance on TODAY show’s Friday Concert, I’m sharing them again once more for your viewing pleasure! After all, it is Friday again!

She has kicked off her career again for the nth time and is about to tour to promote her latest album which has hit No. 1. on the Billboard charts.

Billboard wrote of one of her early tour stops:

“I never thought I would be able to go back on tour again,” the pop singer said in a taped video preceding the opening number, “Red Flag.”

And yet, there she was, resplendent in a red roses top matched with tartan pants, ready to reconnect with her audience after a seven year hiatus at the high-energy show on her summer amphitheater trek.

“The last time I was here it was Kingston’s birthday, when he was one,” she said of her now 10-year old son. “We had a party for him backstage.”

That was 2007, and since then the 46-year old star has ended her marriage to Bushlead singer Gavin Rossdale, but found love again with Blake Shelton, her co-star from a stint as a coach on NBC’s The Voice. All of this is chronicled in her recent  album, Thisis What the Truth Feels Like,  which debuted at No. 1 in March.

At age 46, I would say Stefani looks amaze-balls! (do the kids still say that?) She stays true to her signature look: platinum blond ponytail, crimson lipstick and wing eyeliner with deep dark falsies. Her style is eclectic rocker chic, if I could describe it. That’s what I consider my style to be so I’m down. ha!

Anyway, Check out the videos again in case you missed it in the post earlier this week about Savannah Guthrie covering the Republican National Convention in Cleveland as the only female anchor on the team assigned there.

Before jetting off to Cleveland, she took a snap with our other Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Gwen Stefani who performed last Friday for the long-running news shows annual Friday Summer Concert series.

Watch Gwen’s performance.
