Inside Tatyana Ali’s Caribbean-Inspired Wedding; Also a Fresh Prince Reunion

TV actress and first-time mom-to-be Tatyana Ali and her fiance Dr. Vaughn Rasberry  got married on Sunday, July 17th at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The event was  planned by TV personality and celebrity wedding planner Mike Russo. Celebrity stylist Monique Peters outfitted the bride in an exquisite off white Amsale by Amsale Aberra gown with a cathedral length veil and train adorned with floral appliques.  The groom donned an Octavius Terry bespoke tuxedo.

The Harvard graduate told ET back in March when she announced the pregnancy and engagement that she wanted the ceremony to be also a welcoming of the couple’s impending arrival, their first child together later this year.

“Planning our wedding has been so exciting, but when we found out we were expecting, our perspective shifted completely,” she told the site. “We want our ceremony to really celebrate our newest blessing!”

The nuptials was also a reunion for her castmates from the popular 90s show Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The guests included Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks); Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey Butler);  Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks) and his wife Angela Unkrich. Barbera Avery, widow of James Avery who played Ali’s dad was also there.

The wedding was Caribbean-inspired, Russo told Entertainment Tonight and her two sisters and a friend served as bridesmaids wearing wine-colored knee-length dresses with varying necklines also by Amsale. Each carried a small bouquet of white-and-yellow blooms with blue accents.

Her dad Sheriff Ali, a retired police officer from Trinidad and Tobago, walked her down the aisle at the outdoor ceremony that took place in the gardens of the hotel. Later she and her new groom took photos with a gorgeous backdrop of a sunflower yellow and cornflower floral arrangements.

Congrats!
