Congrats are in order to Private Practice alum Audra McDonald and her husband actor husband Will Swenson on the birth of their first child together.
McDonald announced the birth announcement by posting an adorable photo of her newborn’s feet in social media.
“[Will] and I are overjoyed to welcome Sally James McDonald-Swenson, born last night at 11:16pm. Our hearts are bursting,” the six-time Tony winner also tweeted.
The traditional name has history as McDonald also stated in the caption of the Instagram.
Sally is Will’s late mom’s first name and James is after McDonald’s late dad Stanley James.
Although this is their first child together, the couple, married in 2012, have three children. McDonald has a daughter 15-year old Zoe and Swenson, a Broadway mainstay himself, has two sons: 12-year Sawyer, 12, and 15-year old daughter Bridget, 15.
