TV Chef Gordon Ramsay’s Kids Won’t Get His $140M Fortune, He Said

Gordon Ramsay won’t be the first multi-millionaire to announce plans to not leave his children his wealth.

Bill Gates and Simon Cowell have chosen not to leave their wealth to their offsprings too. Speaking with the Telegraph, Ramsay, who is worth an estimated $140 million, said that leaving his kids all that money would “ruin them.”

So for now, the foul mouth restaurateur, chef and host of Hell’s Kitchen wants 15-year old Matilda, 17-year old  Jack and Holly, and 18-year old Megan to make it on their own.

“It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way; it’s to not spoil them,” the host of Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmare said. “The only thing I’ve agreed with Tana is that they get a 25 percent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”

The Master Chef and Master Chef, Junior creator added: “I’ve never been really turned on about the money. That’s not my number one objective and that’s reflected in the way the kids are brought up.”

They should be used to slumming it a little bit. He also told the paper that he doesn’t even let them sit in first class on flights with himself and his wife (the kids’ mom) Tana.

They “haven’t worked hard enough” to afford it yet, he says..

In true Ramsay style, he is quoted in the paper saying,  “I turn left with Tana and they turn right and I say to the chief stewardess, ‘Make sure those little f–kers don’t come anywhere near us, I want to sleep on this plane.’ I worked my f–king ass off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you’ve grafted for it.”
