The celeb girls given boy names trend continues…

Jett Ling Song, Lisa Ling’s daughter with a gender-bender name.
Several of the celebrity women to give birth lately continued the recent trend of giving traditional male names to their daughters.
Brand new moms: Haylie Duff named her daughter Ryan; CaCee Cobb named her daughter Wilder and Sara Gilbert named her  new son Rhodes but has a daughter Sawyer.
Perhaps Cobb was following in the footsteps of her BFF Jessica Simpson who named her daughter Maxwell.
TV Journalists we’ve covered too: Savannah Guthrie named daughter Vale and Lisa Ling named her daughter Jett (above in photo collage).
Other celeb women with female sounding names choosing the give their daughters male names:
Mila Kunis named her daughter Wyatt
Rebecca Gayheart named her daughter Billie
Heidi Klum named her daughter Lou
Soleil Moon Frye has a daughter named Jagger Joseph
And to be honest, it really isn’t a “new” thing either. People have been doing the gender bender naming thing for the longest, just not as much. For example, these celebs with older kids:
Diane Keaton’s daughter is named Dexter
Teri Hathcher’s daughter is called Emerson
Michelle Branch‘s daughter is Owen
Melissa Etheridge’s daughter is named Johnnie
Rebecca Romijn‘s dauhter is Charlie
Angie Harmon is a rebel all three of her daughters have male names; Avery, Finley and Emery
On the flip side, there are a few who’ve had boys and given them names uniquely associated with girls, mostly, in the US anyway: Alicia Keys’ son is Genesis and Shakira named her second son Sasha.
It’s all creative and represent this new era where gender is often debated and people are trying to break traditional stereotypes and notions tied to gender.
