Kim Kardashian-West was supposed to have a “Troop Beverly Hills” -themed baby shower this weekend at her friend, Allison Azoff’s, Beverly Hills’ estate.
The Keeping up With The Kardashians reality TV star canceled it to be with her sister Khloe Kardashian‘s estranged husband Lamar Odom, E! News reports.
Last week, the ex NBA player who also starred in 20 seasons of the reality TV show Khloe and Lamar, was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel from an alleged overdose on a drug or a combination of drugs he took during his 4-day stay.
Although the couple have signed divorce papers, because they are not yet officially divorced, Khloe remained his next of kin and entitled to make medical decisions for him while Odom was incapacitated.
We loved seeing the couple together when they starred in the show and their love for one another seemed apparent. The marriage appears to have unraveled partially due to Odom’s toxic habits. This week, Khloe showed her devotion during his miraculous recovery.
It was great to see the entire Kardashian and Jenner family rally around Odom and ask their fans for prayers and support. It was unfortunate however, that there were scant stories reporting on Odom’s non-celebrity family, like his dad, grandmom and children’s comments and official statements.
But it is fair to assume, that the celebrity part of his life is what makes people care more and the Kardashian family are media magnets.
