Designer Guest Post: Add Celeb Style to Your Maternity Wardrobe

Bellyitch Rewind

As the pioneer of “maternity chic”, I’ve spent almost 20 years in the maternity clothing business, styling celebrities and forging licensing deals with Nike and Target, and the Liz Lange maternity line available exclusively at Target stores and Target.com.

While pregnant celebrities often have the luxury to work with high profile stylists to  create the perfect look, my experience has taught me that any expecting woman can create an outfit that is comfortable, affordable, and maternity chic mixing high and low priced pieces… but it doesn’t hurt to have some inspiration!

Here are my top five favorite celebrity maternity looks. How do you put together your own celebrity inspired style?

Liz Lange

Designer * Ÿ Style Expert Ÿ * Inventor of “Maternity Chic”

Rose Byrne1.  Classic
Rose is known for her graceful beauty and style with classically feminine colors and cuts. Her polished dresses and simple ensembles keep her looking elegant and confident.
Liz Lange Suggests:  A classic maternity wrap dress perfect for every stage of the pregnancy, and is a great way to show off that baby bump!

Jana Kramer – 2. Modern
For Jana, maternity wear was all about a modern silhouette.
Liz Lange Suggests: A cowl neck tunic top or maxi dress with statement making accessories for a confident look for any trimester!

Anne Hathaway3Casual
Anne’s laid back approach to maternity kept her comfortable without sacrificing cool.
Liz Lange Suggests: Achieve this look with an effortless fringed wrap shawl with a cropped jacket, or let accessories like scarves and hats do the talking with flowy tunics and stretchy leggings.

Cat Deeley4. Contemporary
Cat Deeley stunned on the red carpet at the 2015 Emmy’s in a body-hugging gold beaded gown.
Liz Lange Suggests: Take a page out of her book with simple and sexy pieces like this little black shift dress with sparkly shoulder details.

Chrissy Teigen – 5. Risk Taker
A pregnant Chrissy Teigen has never shied away from skin-baring maternity style while looking absolutely flawless. When she’s not sporting a low-cut v, or maternity bra top, Chrissy keeps it chic in of-the-moment pieces perfectly suited for any fashionista, pregnant or not.
Liz Lange Suggests:  Take a cue from Chrissy and stray from tradition with this body-con dress with horizontal stripes and mix it up!

Good luck, preginistas!
