Molly Sims’ Red Carpet Maternity Fashion

Yup, I think I’ve said this before but Molly Sims definitely is having the most awesomest fashionable pregnancy this go-round.

I love loved this actress, author and former model’s long black strapless Lela Rose ball gown she wore last November 2014 while attending the 2014 Baby2Baby Gala presented by Tiffany & Co held at The Book Bindery  in Culver City, Cali. So elegant and flawless.  She wore shoes by Alaia and Norman Silverman jewels to accent this fab look.

But the avante garde break out moment came a month prior when she attended ELLE magazine’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. It was cool to experiment with the crop top look while preggers.

The pull-back pony was the perfect hair to fit with the simple black wrap dress she wore while attending the Annie for Target launch event at Stage 37 in Nor York City in October.

Then while sticking with a mainly black palette, she went va va glam with a bump-hugging sequins evening dress on the red carpet to the amFAR LA Inspiration Gala in LA on October 29. The retro-waves glam hair swept to one side was to-die for!

Finally, and most recently, she departed from black and went the polar opposite in a bright yellow Lisa Perry dress with jeweled ethnic embroidered trip to the 72 Annual Golden Glow Awards Post-Party  at The Beverly Hilton Hotel earlier this month.

2015 SAG Awards Red Carpet rocked by Celeb Moms

The stars came out at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight, January 25  at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium. And as usual many of the past and currently expecting celebrity mothers we cover and have covered looked their best on the red carpet before the show. A few were also nominated for the coveted awards that many say are the predictors for who will take home the Academy Awards later in the year.

Camila Alves McConaughey look tonight was one of my faves in this gorgeous deep eggplant colored aubergine Donna Karan dress. The simple make up played up her natural beauty and she worked the draping and train like only a professional Brazilian supermodel could.

Another fave was the custom white one shoulder Giorgio Armani dress Reese Witherspoon wore to a fitted T. The award nominee for her stand-out role in Wild put the A in A-list as she was dripping  in pearl drop earrings, a cocktail ring and elegant bangles from Tiffany & Co and Harry Winston.

The dress that The Good Wife star Juliana Margulies wore looked a hot mess on the runway this past fall, but some inventive tailor managed to cinch that Giambattista Valli dress at the waist and make it her own. She was fabu in this number which she polished off with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Jimmy Choo “Lucille” sandals and Fred Leighton jewels.
Didn’t hear much positive thing about Lupita N’yongo‘s chosen dress, a deep v neckline  Pre fall 2015 multi-colored Elie Saab gown, worn with Fred Leighton earrings. I loved it and thought it was a complex yet still simple and elegant complete stand out look. And as a fan, wearer and advocate for braids, I was uber psyched to see the 2014 Best Actress Academy Award winner in cornrows and a braided bun. The Twelve Years a Slave star’s  make up was everything.  Nice!
Maggie Gyllenhaal was uber glam in Thakoon accessorized with a box clutch and jewels from Bvlgari and Fred Leighton. I’m digging the red lip and the pixie cut. Work it mama. So classy, as per usual.

Amy Poehler did her thing in a black shimmery Jenny Packham gown. I love the Parks and Recreation actress’ hair the best in this look. The soft loose ringlets to one side is the money ball and very feminine.  Yass. Go ahead Miss funny lady.

Claire Danes guzzied it up in a deep green Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 dress which was bold though a bit overly designed with too many elements. I’m thinking lose the belt or the halter or the side embellishments or all three. She looked comfortable and happy so that’s what matters most, right? Make up was boss though, especially the smoky eyes and matte nude lip.

Past feature adoption mom Viola Davis was stunning in a fitted white Max Mara dress. I love how the halter makes her defined shoulders stand out. I don’t care for the shape of the bracelet but the natural parted afro rocks! Congrats on winning the award for Best TV drama actress for her role in How to Get Away with Murder.

Mom-to-be and nominee for her role in The Imitation Game Keira Knightley wore a purple jewel-tone lace Erdem dress. It was so Keira but also so fluffy and foofy and meh.

Can’t believe Togetherness  actress Amanda Peet just gave birth six weeks ago and looked this va va voom in this pink with black accents chiffon J. Mendel dress. I do not love the hair at all. I think it should have been let down for max effect.

The Big Bang Theory‘s Mayim Bialik finally went big and glam in Christian Siriano tonight. She usually looks frumpy in whatever she wears but tonight was a stand out. Bravo! More of this. Yes?

Equally gorg was Paula Patton in Kimberly McDonald. The jeweled embellishments really popped and set off this look as did the beaded accents. We could have done something more fab with the hair, but still, overall a good look.

Julia Roberts  never disappoints in a classic black Givenchy  tuxedo jumper with a box clutch and accent cuff on the wrist. She could’ve really taken this look to another level had she gone with some different colored shoes and in a strappy sandal. She’s been keeping it 100 for the gingers for over several decades now.

We saw Veep‘s Anna Chlumsky looking nice in a unique silver and burnt sienna-colored  Escada gown. I really loved her smoky eye with a tinge or orange and pale pink matte lip. It’s such a refreshing departure for her that I can’t help but love it.

Though not a mom and not previously featured on this blog, my absolute fave look tonight was won by The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting. This crimson Romona Kevelza belted dress was perfectly tailored to her body and the silver tube clutch and cuffs really made the sultry look stand out. I loved the hair too. Perfect!

2015 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Fashion & moments

Of the Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums who we spotted at the 2015 Critics Choice Awards at the Hollywood Palladium on January 15 in LA,  our “best dressed” award goes to mom-to-be Keira Knightley who dazzled and glowed in a gorgeous A-line draped gown by Delpozo with its flowing train and embroidered embellishment.
Angelina Jolie looked pretty haute in a simple draped silver Versace gown. I was not feeling Reese Witherspoon‘s color block Lanvin dress at all, especially not that long train in the back. It looks like it just truncated her torso unecessarily and the shoes were all wrong.
Similarly, Emily Blunt‘s Emilio Pucci dress was just meh, but congrats to her though for taking home the award for the Best Actress in an Action film for her role in Edge of Tomorrow.
It was cute how her husband John Krasinski came out and surprised his The Devil Wears Prada  star wife with a hug from behind. He was waiting in the wings to present next. So sweet!

I did love Marion Cotillard’s “Alice in Wonderland/through the Looking glass’esque Dior Haute Couture dress, although I was not crazy about the sleek back hair with it. In any event, it was artistic.

2015 Golden Globes Red Carpet Events “Bumps and Fashion”

The 2015 Golden Globe Awards and the pre and post show events gave us plenty of red carpet bumps to gawk at…
Here are the ladies we’re following and what they word:
Keira Knightly, who was nominated for her role in The Imitation Game, wore a light and feminine custom Chanel buttefly print slip dress with tiered ruffles at the bottom from the line’s pre 2015 collection, belted above the bump with a frilly lace bib along the neckline. She accented the look with a butterfly bracelet and black clutch. Knightly and her husband, James Righton, a keyboardist for the group The Kaxons, are expecting their first child this year.
Tamera Mowry-Housley went va va voom with a high slit one shoulder Michael Kors dress, Kimberly McDonald jewels, Kelly Wearstler clutch and silver strappy Badgley Mischka heels while attending the NBCUniversal 2015 Golden Globe Awards Party sponsored by Chrysler at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. Mowry-Housley and her husband Adam Housley are expecting their second child, a daughter. The couple are parents to 2-year old son, Aden.
Molly Sims hit up the InStyle Post-Golden Globe party in a sunny yellow Lisa Perry Schumacher 1889 gown. Love the ethnic-inspired embroidered trim to this dress. Sims and her husband Scott Stuber are expecting their second child. They are parents to 2-year old son, Brooks.

TV host Terri Seymour also played up her sensual side a bit in a black Yosep Sinudarsono  Yotuz Collection dress, accented with jewels from XIV Karats Beverly Hills, while attending the Weinstien Company and Netflix Golden Globes After Party. Seymour, well known for being a longtime girlfriend of Simon Cowell, is in her last trimester of her pregnancy. She and beau Clark Mallon are expecting their first child together.

All the ladies looked absolutely beautiful in our book!

Red Carpet: Black and White at the AFI Awards with Celeb moms

Moms-to-be Keira Knightley and Mad Men‘s  Jessica Pare showed off their growing bumps while attending the 15th Annual AFI Awards at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills on January 9. Most of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums and moms wore black and white to the event.

Angelina Jolie looked smart in Saint Laurent, posing up with hunky hubby Brad Pitt

Crave and want Mad Men’s Jessica Pare’s sophisticated color block low-heeled sandal pumps. She too did a smart dress under a blazer to the smart event which culminates Award season.

Keira Knightly looked lovely in a floral Erdem dress.

Today, the Neverland star was out again today, January 10, and looking super cute while attending the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party also at The Four Seasons. Her Hermes empire dress was bright and sunny! Perfect for a tea party. She accented the look with Charlotte Olympia shoes and a Roger Vivier  bag.

Celeb moms at 2015 People’s Choice Awards Red Carpet and Show

Tonight, not only did a Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum  co-host the People’s Choice Awards LIVE from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California, but several were up for awards and took home statutes at the show controlled by viewers.
Bumpwatch alum Anna Farris and her Moms CBS co-star Allison Janney hosted the event which had our past featured moms up against one another. Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington, Zoe Saldana, Tina Fey, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Emily Deschanel, Tea Leoni, Angelina Jolie, Mayim Bialik, Hayden Panattiere, Alyssa Milano, Kate Winslet, Carrie Underwood, Hillary Shelton’s “Lady Antebellum” and Ellen Pompeo were all up for awards in various categories. Lady Antebellum, Underwood and Pompeo won in their categories. While projects and shows starring Winslet (Divergent), Jolie (Maleficent) and Bialik (The Big Bang Theory) won as well.  See winners list here

Anna Farris looked sultry in a Juan Carlos Obando top and fishtail skirt, strappy Jimmy Choo heels, accented with Irene Neuwirth earrings and a Graziela Gems ring.
Anna Farris and Allison Janney, co star of the CBS show Moms coordinated well while hosting the show. Love the matching white pant suit. Very “Twins”-ish! ha!

Hillary Scott was looking fab and showing off leg in a Yigal Azrouel dress, worn with shoes by Ralph Lauren  and a Jimmy Choo purse. Her Lady Antebellum bandmates Dave Haywood  and Charles Kelley looked dapper as well, though Kelley explained on the red carpet to Giuliana Rancic that he had ripped his pants in the inseam on the car ride to the show. oops!

Hot Pink was the color Kristen Bell  chose to wear while making her first public appearance since giving birth to daughter Delta this past December. She was rocking an interesting layered  Monique Lhullier dress with silver  Christian Louboutin pumps and accented with  Neil Lane jewelry, and a Jimmy Choo clutch.

I personally loved Giulana Rancic in a mint green Tony Ward dress which gave me a retro 50’s feel and the hair is perfect to match.

2014 American Music Awards: Celeb moms sizzle on the red carpet

Several of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums rocked the red carpet to the 2014 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Here’s what they wore:

Christina Milian was gorge in a long black lace slip dress with a sleek back hair, hot pink lips and a delicate gold bangles.

Jennifer Lopez showed off her svelte and hot mama bod in a satin Reem Acra dress with sparking nude Christian Louboutin pumps and Norman Silverman diamonds.

Grrrrr! Fergie was sizzling in a black belted  Halston high-split floor-length dress, accented with Loree Rodkin jewels and a super hawt pair of Versus triple clasp sandals.

Garcelle Beauvais worked the carpet in a crimson Michael Costello figure hugging halter t-neck dress, with a gold clutch and gold and black gladiator heels with  a black cuff.

Giuliana Rancic looked amaze in a one sleeve Alex Perry dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Rauwolf clutch, Pasquale Bruni rings, and Jack Vartanian earrings.

Who Rocked Balmain Award Show best: Alessandra Ambrosio or Kim Kardashian?

Enquiring minds want to know who rocked Balmain Resort 2015 top and skirt best:
Alessandra Ambrosio at the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena  in Las Vegas this week or Kim Kardashian at the 2014 MTV VMA earlier this year?
Personally, I love the black pumps pairing compared toe the fringe gladiators Kardashian’s rocking though I love the  curvy fit on Kim better, yet Ambrosio’s legs are amazingly lean, toned and super sexy. But then again, what would one expect from a Brazilian Super model, huh?
It’s a battle of our Bellyitch BumpWatch alums.

Back stage, Ambrosio looked radiant in an Azzaro Spring 2014 couture dress.

2014 CMA Red Carpet: Best Celeb Mom Looks

So the Country Music Association‘s 48th Annual CMA Awards went down last night, November 5th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
I was elated to see all the hot looks of the celebrity moms featured in Bellyitch Blog in the past and smiled warmly at all the big hair tromping the red carpet.

I’m 50/50 on the looks.

Show co-host along with Brad Paisley and first time mom-to-be Carrie Underwood went with a custom beaded gold gown by Lorena Sarbu which totally covered her bump.

Meh. The mesh bodice top and the appliques looking embellishments dated the youthful former American Idol winner. I did love her Jimmy Choo Amika pumps. Get them HERE!

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum went va va voom and nautical in this body hugging Herve Leger  dress with gold accents, paired with Michael John jewelry and a gold Reece Hudson clutch. Mama is snatched and cinched and looking quite glam. Love it. I would’ve loved to see her hair up to really show off the halter attachment in the front, but then again, it really wasn’t needed and is a distraction to the an already busy bodice.

When she’s not presenting an award, the gorgeous Brazilian model Lily Aldridge was showing off her svelte figure in beautiful Calvin Klein  dress with tulle sheer panel cut outs at the sides, sleeves and bodice that made this little number super sexy.

I loved Nicole Kidman‘s look here although I read some call it matronly. It is sexy but not too revealing and very age appropriate. This Roberto Cavalli dress is feminine and soft and is ornate but in a less gaudy way as we’ve seen in some Cavalli styles. The loose ringlets top off this look accented with Fred Leighton jewels. Love it!
Bravo, ladies!
