She too is wearing a paisley off the shoulder jumpsuit that is gapping at the center, creating the illusion of a bump. Whether one is there or not, who knows.

atikh-bana-203831

Whether you’re a work at home mom, stay at home mom, working mom or working parent, there are some times of the day when you are sharpest and on your game. Not everyone is a morning person but some people can hop right out of bed and hit the ground running.

Others need for the day to wind down some before getting into the groove and getting some things accomplished. Some people work best in the evening when everyone’s asleep and there is no social media alerts and pop ups to distract during the day.

Others are most productive first thing in the morning. Knowing when you’re producing the best ideas is essential.

Take this quiz to find out which is your best time of day:

Happy Easter: 10 Fun Activities to Do with the Kids Today!

easter eggs

Easter brings images of bunnies, jelly beans, crosses and spring to mind! Most families do the traditional Easter basket, egg hunt and church routine, but this Easter shake things up a bit by thinking outside of the box and incorporating a few more meaningful activities into your Easter traditions.

Natural egg dyes – Did you know that you can dye your eggs without chemicals? Annie’s Eats provides a list of different colors that you can easily create at home by using food to provide the color. You can find recipes for grey-blue, blue, yellow, pink and lavender.

Egg dying techniques – Why not make egg dying an artistic process? Spoonful has various techniques to use for your egg dying experience, including using tin foil, string, bubble wrap, thumbprints and tissue paper.

Easter egg hunts – Egg hunts are a traditional Easter activity for most Christian families. A lot of towns or churches will host an egg hunt, but if they don’t you should consider arranging one for your neighborhood or family! You can use real eggs (make sure they are hard-boiled first!) or use plastic eggs filled with various items, such as money, candy or other small trinkets.

Tissue paper egg art – Egg art is an easy way to decorate your house for Easter. This simple project requires some poster board, tissue paper, a pencil and a bit of glue. Have your child cut out an egg shape from poster board, draw a design on the egg with pencil, and then, using small squares of tissue paper, the eraser end of the pencil and a bit of glue, fill in the spaces with the tissue paper to create your Easter egg!

Stained glass crosses – You can easily create a stained glass cross to hang in your window with your child using tissue paper and clear contact paper. Cut the tissue paper into small shapes (have your child help, if it’s age appropriate) and cut out a sheet of contact paper. Draw a cross on the non-sticky side of the contact paper, remove the paper, and have your child fill in the cross with the tissue paper shapes. Once they are done, place another sheet of contact paper over the tissue paper and then cut inside the lines of the cross you drew on the first sheet of contact paper. Hang your creation in the window for the entire family to enjoy!

The jelly bean story – The jelly bean story is a great way to represent what Jesus gave his people and why Easter is celebrated. There is a short story to print out to go along with the project and each jelly bean color represents different things, such as the sun, grace or sorrow.

Envelope bunnies – Envelope bunnies are a great way to welcome guests to your home during the Easter season. Have your children help create them and then fill them with treats!

Egg chickens – Egg chickens are a cute way to spruce up a hard-boiled egg for a centerpiece at your table! You can create other animals too, so let your imaginations go wild!

Egg relay races – If you live in a climate that makes it possible to head outside on Easter day, consider doing some active outdoor activities with the kids. Who doesn’t love an egg relay race? You can place the eggs (hard-boiled!) on spoons and run with them (if they fall, you have to stop and pick it up). You can also pass off the egg to each other or pass the eggs down the line using only your elbows! The possibilities are endless, and the entire family can get involved!

Egg bocce ball – Use your leftover hard-boiled eggs to play a game of egg bocce ball. You’ll need one white egg (the pallino) and each player will need two of the same colors of eggs to play. Roll the pallino in the grass and have players take turns trying to roll their eggs as close to the pallino as possible. The closest egg wins!

1b

Easter is around the corner. For many families, that also means it’s time to start hunting down that perfect Easter dress or suit.  Dressing in Sunday’s best for church service is customary. And even for non-religious families, dressing up for Easter Egg Hunts or photos with the Easter Bunny at the mall present a good opportunity to have and excuse to buy digs for the kids.

Girls usually wear headbands, white tights, patent leather Mary Janes and floral dresses with pastel sweater. Easter is also a great time for a little girl to wear her first string of pearls (authentic or faux) and other nice jewelry from Baptism, Christening, Christmas that parents just store away for special occasions.

And of course, their pretty dresses.

Whitney Port’s Life is Perfect on Instagram; Pregnancy, Not so Much

whitneyport

Former reality TV show star of The Hills and The City, Whitney Port’s life is pretty rosy and beautiful by the looks of her Instagram page. It’s the quintessential lifestyle blogger profile.

However, the newly pregnant entrepreneur is getting real about carrying a baby.

“Pregnancy has not been easy for me,” she admitted. “I’m not going to say that it’s all glowy skin and sunshine and butterflies.”

But despite all the “weird things” happening to her body, and feeling “gross all the time” during her first trimester, she’s excited about what’s to come: “There’s a fine line between complaining and dealing with it,” she said. “I try to be positive, because it is such a wonderful thing.”

In a recent feature in Health.com, Port shares four tips that have helped her stay calm and balanced through the early stages of her pregnancy. They’re pretty good tips.

Port announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child in a humorous post on Instagram  in February. It is the first child for them both.

The Viral Twins All-Night Party Boys Do A Media Appearance

twins-climb-out-cribs-have-dance-party-instead-of-going-to-bed-ny-daily-news-1d

The twin toddlers who took the Internet by storm when a video of their all night party went viral went on a Media Tour. Their parents use a Nest security camera to monitor the kids room and the dad posted on his Facebook Page footage of his 2-year old sons, Andrew and Ryan, being mischievous one night instead of sleeping. The video has gone viral.

In the video, one boy climbs out of his crib and the other quickly follows. The scheming toddlers then grab several pillows and start piling them together on the floor.

The twins are also seen running around their room, kicking their feet up on a couch and doing a little shimmy in their crib.

The boys and their parents Jonathan and Susana Balkin went on TODAY this week after their video was seen more than $1M times.

Balkin told “Today” that he and his wife knew the twins were up to something because of all the giggling coming from the room.

“We ended up spying on them for a little while on camera just to make sure they weren’t getting into trouble,” he said. “Then after a while we decided, OK, it’s time to intervene and put them to bed. That didn’t really work out so well.”

It is reminiscent of another recent viral video with twin boys where one saved the other from a toppling dresser. Skeptics thought it was staged just like some thought the Balkin video was really publicity for the Nest Home Security system used to capture the video. The dad in the dresser video works for a security company that sells another nanny cam.

‘The Real’s Loni Love Opens Up About The Miscarriage That Turned Her Off From Having Kids

loni-love-the-real-759x438

On Tuesday, March 21st episode of the daytime panel talk show The Real co-host Loni Love opened up about previously suffering a miscarriage and being quite emotionally scarred form the experience.

During a segment on the show, Love says the entire ordeal convinced her to never have children (or even attempt) because  she never wanted to experience that feeling again.

“I finally went to the doctor and I was pregnant,” she opens up. “And Imma tell you something, your body goes through so much. And then at that time I started processing ‘cause then I had to start saving for the baby. I had to start doing all this… And I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, what am I going to do?’ Right? And then it was like the dude that I was with, he was excited, but I was still like really really nervous. But then, eventually you know that nature takes over, you like, ‘You know what, there’s nothing I can do. I’m just gonna have to have this baby and I’m just going to deal with it.’ And sure enough as soon as I was like okay with it, about eight weeks, I miscarried.”

It appears from the audible gasp, and shocked reaction of her co-hosts Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adrienne Bailon, that they were clueless. Love later exclaims that’s the real reason she doesn’t have children.
