Idina Menzel’s fab Super Bowl peformance: Get the Look (VIDEO)

Bravo to our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Idina Menzel on her beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner last night before the Super Bowl.

Menzel stunned Oscar audiences last year during her performance of the Academy Award winning Best Original Song “Let It Go” from the wildly popular Disney animated movie Frozen. She really did sang her heart out! Yes, I said SANG.

Menzel, who has a 5-year old son, Walker Diggs, with actor Taye Diggs, will launch a world tour next summer and will soon star in a new sitcom pilot called Happy Time executive produced by Ellen DeGeneres.

We also were wondering, who made that stunning and bold two finger statement ring she wore with her very smart and well fitted Angel Sanchez jumpsuit with black peep toe Jimmy Choo platforms.

HBO’s Jemima Kirke paints Liv Tyler’s pregnant form

Whoa baby!

The Leftovers’ Liv Tyler recently secured the talent of former Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum HBO‘s Jemima Kirke to capture her very pregnant form in artwork.

“So fun to be painted by a friend,” the second-time mom-to-be captioned her Instagram shared photos.

Can’t wait to see the finished product. Kirke is expressive and used to artistic expression during pregnancy. She famously posted some artsy/racy photos for Vice magazine when she was last pregnant in 2012.

Tyler and her beau British football agent Dave Gardner are expecting their 1st child together. She has a 9-year old son Milo with ex husband Royston Langdon.

Kirke and husband Michael Mosberg welcomed their second child, a son, in 2012.

Thank you for an amazing year!

Happy New Year’s Eve, Friends!

We wanted to take a break today and say thank you to our loyal readers who come here regularly to check in on all the latest celebrity bump watch sightings and news, for regular articles on parenting, pregnancy, and for maternity style tips and ideas.

This blog started a little over 7 years ago, when I was pregnant with my third and final child, daughter GG, who coincidentally turns 7 today (see my cute IG video tribute HERE).

Since then, it has evolved to a go-to resource for expecting, new and veteran parents and for those who love to keepup with the latest pregnant celebrity.

We were excited this year to be named one of RedTri‘s top “Blogs Every New Parent Should BookMark“. It’s the second time getting this honor and we proudly wear the badge of honor in our sidebar!

This July, I also learned that I my Google Plus profile had gotten over 36 million page views, surpassing Google’s CEO and many of its top executives and brand ambassadors. Upon research, I discovered that this blog and its content circulating in social media and online was instrumental to such a high number which is now close to 50 million. That is an increase of over 10 million additional page views in 6 months! Wow!

And for that, I’d like to thank you all so much for sharing our posts and pinning images on Pinterest because I know that we cannot reach wider audiences without the gracious assistance of regular readers and Pinners.

Salute!!

This year, we also started the plan to implement our 2013 partnership we entered with cross platform developer company Clearly Innovative to create an innovative app for expecting parents and finally got funding from a private angel fund to build out our staff more and grow in the future.

We are looking forward to bringing many more fabulous and amazing features and stories in 2015. Thank you again for riding with us this long and we wish you a prosperous and successful New Year!

Holiday Greetings via Celebrity Christmas and Holiday Cards

Well celebrity Christmas and Holiday cards are out. We spotted some of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums in the bunch.

Our fave was Nick and Vanessa Lachey‘s card which read:

“‘Sending lots of love…from our family to yours!’ #HappyHolidays See the full card on my site VanessaLachey.com! I’m back and can’t wait to reconnect with YOU in 2015!”

The entire fam including the couple’s 4-year old son Camden and soon-to-be-born daughter are featured in the adorable black and white card.

The Kardashian klan told Glamour UK they had no plans to send out their holiday card this year! Poooh! Here is a fab pic of the girls of the group from earlier this year. What a beautiful family.

And not an alum but this card from Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi which mocks Kim’s infamous Paper cover photo is hilare!

World AIDS Day: Get Jessica, Gwen and Rachel-designed Aden+Anais for Charity

Today is World AIDS Day. All around the world and the United States various foundations, philanthropic organizations, companies, governments and other bodies are raising awareness of the ongoing fight against the deadly disease and HIV.

Three of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch Alums, Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani and Rachel Zoe have teamed up with aden+anais baby product manufacturer of warm and cozy receiving and swaddling blankets. They’ve designed three Special Edition Organic Swaddle blankets that will be sold on Alba’s Honest Company website and AdenAndAnais.com for $54 as part of the global initiative (PRODUCT)RED.

One hundred percent of the profits which amounts to 25% of the retail price will be donated to the Global Fund to fight HIV and AIDS.

Together with RED, aden + anais is trying to make the dream of an AIDS-free generation in Africa a reality by 2016.

Please Help that cause!

We have been really digging all of the awesome, futuristic, retro and other structured and flowly looks Gwen Stefani’s style team have been putting together for her this season as she sits as a season guest judge on The Voice. Her tenure marks a third Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum’s role on the popular NBC singing talent competition. Christina Aguilera is an original host and Shakira has sat in Aguilera’s stead in previous episodes.

After each show, Stefani shares on social media a link to her website where fans can go to to “get her look.” Fun, fab and smart!

2014 American Music Awards: Celeb moms sizzle on the red carpet

Several of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums rocked the red carpet to the 2014 American Music Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Here’s what they wore:

Christina Milian was gorge in a long black lace slip dress with a sleek back hair, hot pink lips and a delicate gold bangles.

Jennifer Lopez showed off her svelte and hot mama bod in a satin Reem Acra dress with sparking nude Christian Louboutin pumps and Norman Silverman diamonds.

Grrrrr! Fergie was sizzling in a black belted Halston high-split floor-length dress, accented with Loree Rodkin jewels and a super hawt pair of Versus triple clasp sandals.

Garcelle Beauvais worked the carpet in a crimson Michael Costello figure hugging halter t-neck dress, with a gold clutch and gold and black gladiator heels with a black cuff.

Giuliana Rancic looked amaze in a one sleeve Alex Perry dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Rauwolf clutch, Pasquale Bruni rings, and Jack Vartanian earrings.

Heidi Klum went quirky with a criss cross pink and black Versace dress with Versace pink and blue platform heels.

‘Snooki and JWoww’ new season is all about the girls’ respective pregnancy

Former Bellyitch Bumpwatch moms Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her bestie Jennifer “JWoww” Farley have done a 180 on the fourth season of their MTV hit show Snooki & JWoww.

At the beginning of the season which debuted this past November 5th, Farley is nine months pregnant and Polizzi is three months along. So the season is about the girls trying to still be their fun and crazy selves whilst carrying their respective bundle of joy!

As we know, since taping, olizzi has given birth to her second child, daughter Giovanna Marie LaValle and Farley welcomed her first Meilani Alexandra Matthews.

What a far cry from their days on The Jersey Shore. And I am so old, I remember waaaaaay back when I was a young MTV regular viewer and the Jersey Shore was just a short short 2-4 episode docu-series about a group of kids on their summer break.

I could not imagine back then, it would have become such a hit reality TV show and would have spawned such mega reality TV stars, all who have matured quite a bit before our eyes.

Lily Aldridge was fresh in Thakoon resort 2014 wear at the launch of her Fall Refresh Collection for Gilt and BluePrint Juice Celebrations on October 14, 2014 in New York City.

Jessica Alba rocked Lela Rose also on October 14 at the SELF Luncheon in Los Angeles, California.

Gisele Bundchen werked a beaded Chanel Couture fall 2014 sheath dress at the CHANEL Dinner Celebrating N°5 THE FILM by Baz Luhrmann the day before on October 13, 2014 in New York City.

Finally, Natalie Portman looked fab in Dior while attending the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala Noche de Minos at L.A. Live Event Deck on October 11, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Spotted at Fashion blogger Sai Sankoh‘s blog Becuase I am Fabulous and all in all in Bottega Veneta at the Hammer Museum’s 12th annual Gala in the Garden event on October 11, 2014 in Westwood, California was:

Evan Rachel Woods and Zoe Saldana; and

Julia Roberts and January Jones.

New 2nd time mom Megan Fox rocked Versace at the Ferrari 60th Anniversary in the USA Gala at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on October 11, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California.

Finally, Reese Witherspoon looked phenomenal and glam in Stella McCartney at the screening of her latest film Wild at the 58th BFI London Film Festival on October 13, 2014 in London, England.

Earlier she rocked a very pretty sheath Giambattista Valli dress at the press photocall for the event.

Love and Hip Hop’s Yandy Smith is expecting her 2nd child

Love and Hip Hop star and Bellyitch BumpWatch alum Yandy Smith is expecting her second baby.

Her on-again-off-again boyfriend Mendeecees Harris shared a photo with to two of them and a caption included the emoji for a baby on his Instagram account yesterday.

The couple has an almost 2-year old son.

Congratulations!
