2105 Grammy Award Red Carpet Fashion (PHOTOS)

Tonight was the 57th Annual Grammy Awards held at STAPLES Center on February 8, 2015 in Los Angeles.

And as usual, we spotted many of the celebrity mothers we’ve written about on Bellyitch in the past on the red carpet.

Congratulations to Beyonce (Best R&B Performance & Song)  Erica Campbell (Best Gospel), Carrie Underwood (Best Country), Christina Aguilera  (Best Pop Duo/Group) and Toni Braxton (Best R&B album) who all won awards tonight.

Here is what they wore (will update with more specifics later):

Congratulations to Beyonce in a laced with jewel overlay Proenza Schouler dress for winning the award for the best R&B Performance and Best R&B  Song for “Drunk in Love” tonight, and being the most nominated woman in Grammy history.

Kim Kardashian looked stunning in Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2015 robe dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.  I loved her new haircut. Her makeup was flawless. The shape was a bit odd, but I think she pulled it off. Love. Love!
I thought Gwen Stefani in this black Spring 2015 Atelier Versace cropped jumpsuit looked hip and youthful. I was blown away to see her stray away from her signature red lip for once. Wow! .
Jennifer Hudson worked it in a white Tom Ford pencil length strapless dress. I like the trendy purple lip and that she is still rocking that pageboy hair cut. 
Nicole Kidman in pre-fall 2015 Thierry Mugler and Prabal Gurung heels. This look is perfect and she looked healthy and amazing. That blunt bob cut is very current. Nice!

Ciara was going for the wow factor here in this gorgeous couture Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2014 gown with black “Mea Culpa” Christian Louboutin pumps. 





Toni Braxton looked like a goddess in Marc Bouwer Fall 2015. 







Congrats to Erica Campbell who won the Best Gospel Gospel album for her solo project, “Hero”. She was regal in a royal purple dress by LUM, toting a petite glack Onna Ehrlich clutch with Casadei Offiical pumps. 





This is such a different but very gorgeous look for Giuliana Rancic in Steven Khalil with Gianvito Rossi shoes and Jack Vartanian earrings.



And another stunner Giuliana Rancic later in a Bouchra Jarrar jumpsuit.



Not a mom  but my fave for the night was Rihanna in Giambattista Valli.  Yeah, she was meme-ified a bunch tonight, but I think she owned the moment, stood out and glowed. Her make up was flawless, the strapless halter bodice portion fit perfectly and the billowy layers made me smile.

NAACP Image Awards, Grammy Weekend (PHOTOS)

This is a busy weekend for award shows and events, showcases and parties leading up to the biggest music industry award show for the year, The Grammy Awards. The NAACP Image Awards also took place this weekend as did the Essence Music event. 
We spotted some of our past Bellyitch Bumpwatch moms and moms-to-be at various events:
Kerry Washington looked her best in a red lace, spaghetti strap, A- line skirt dress from the Zuhair Murad Spring 2015  collection while on the red carpet and presenting an award at the 46th NAACP Image Awards presented by TV One at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on February 6, 2015 in Pasadena, California. 
She accented the fun sexy look with Cathy Waterman jewels, red python Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” pumps and a clutch by Salvatore Ferragamo.
Beyonce Knowles Carter and Kim Kardashian West wowed while attending the Roc Nation and Three Six Zero brunch yesterday, Saturday, February 7 along with a bevvy of other celebs including their hubbies Kanye West and Jay Z, Rihanna (above with Kim in a red floral bra and skirt by Altuzarra (retail $825)), Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monae and more. 
Beyonce disproved pregnancy rumors in this low v-cut black Alexandre Vauthier Haute couture top and pants with strappy Alaia laser cut suede platform sandals ($1760) with Willow Smith and Jay Z.

Kim K did her signature crop top with pencil skirt look (both Balmain) and showed off a drastic hair cut. Cute. I like her Lanvin statement Crystal Eagle necklace ($1990) and Glass Detail Cuff. ($424)

Tamera Mowry-Housley’s ‘The Real’ maternity style

The stylist over at the FOX daytime talk show The Real has been doing a bang up job styling second-time mom-to-be Tamera Mowry-Housley who is expecting a baby girl with her husband, Adam Housley, a FOX News correspondent. The couple are parents to 1-year old son, Aden. 

This black Burberry dress with leather cap sleeves she Mowry-Housley wore yesterday worked well with the black Christian Louboutin pumps.

I’m digging the color he’s putting her in because it’s great to show moms-to-be that they don’t have to wear black all the time to shield their weight gain and burgeoning bump. You can play with depth, texture and layers to accent and bring out the best silhouette possible and look tres stylish while doing it. 
Early in her pregnancy, when CoreySamuel was trying to conceal her pregnancy before she officially announced it to the public, he camouflaged he bump in peplum and sheath dresses and gapped waist jumpsuits! Smart! Take notes, ladies!

I also love what her hair stylist Karim Odoms has been doing with her hair, dolling her up with playful bobs, bangs, loose ringlets and the like! Keep it fresh.  Me likey!

2nd-time mom-to-be Tiffani Amber-Thiessen does Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Saved by Bell’ Reunion skit

By now, you may have seen in your social media stream the very nostalgic clip from last night’s episode of The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon which featured a reunion of the very popular 90s TV show cast from  Saved by the Bell.  It’s gone viral and everyone looks like they haven’t aged one bit!
In it is Tiffani Amber Thiessen, who played the role of Kelly Kapowski on the long-running show and is currently expecting her second child with her husband. The couple have one daughter, Harper, born in 2010 after some struggles with conceiving. 
We’ve follow her on Instagram and noticed along with all her other followers when she announced that she is expecting her second child recently. Her growing baby bump was worked into the humorous skit below:

Bravo! Good job, Jimmy!

We wish we would’ve gotten a chance to see Lark Vorhees who plays the part of “Lisa Turtle” in it. She has one daughter with her husband Andy Price but lays low and out of the limelight  these days, it seems.

What Celebrity moms are up to on Instagram

What are some of the celebrity mothers we’ve profiled here on Bellyitch are up to these days? A good place to keep track of their ups and downs and projects is by checking in on them in Instagram where they freely share pics and other updates like Eva Marcille above who recently won a battle with her ex Kevin McCall over their 1-year old adorable daughter Marley. Here she is looking effortlessly chic while driving in her ride somewhere.

Beyonce too is/was in Asia & took some time off to hit her computer and look stylish while doing so.

Nicole Richie was in a hijab the same week as World Hijab Day while scouting for fabric for her fashion line

Alicia Keys and hubby Swizz Beatz were having their first date after the birth of their second son: Rollerskating! How fun!

Drew Barrymore was playing the part of Baby from Dirty Dancing for pal Jimmy Fallon‘s lip sync battle with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

 

  Ciara was showing off her cute cherubic son, Future to her fans and followers whilst barefooted.

Kerry Washington looked absolutely beautiful while promoting a book charity drive for FirstBook.Org.

Justin Timberlake finally confirms Jessica Biels’ pregnancy

So Justin Timberlake just confirmed the worst-kept secret in a little while, that he and his wife actress Jessica Biel are expecting their first child together. 
“Thank you EVERYONE for the Bday wishes!,” he captioned on Instagram. “This year, I’m getting the GREATEST GIFT EVER. CAN’T WAIT. #BoyOrGirl #YouNeverKnow #WeDontEvenKnow #WeAreTakingBets”
Gossip blogs and websites have long, since October, speculated that the duo, who have been married since 2012, were expecting. And…there have been quite a few sightings and postings with photos of Mrs. Timberlake out and about with quite a bulbous bump. And…their close friends kept accidentally confirming it in the media. 
But anyway, Happy Birthday Justin and Congrats you two!

Celeb Maternity Fave: Denim and Maxi Dress (HOW TO WEAR IT)

The classic denim jacket worn over a maxi dress has become a uniform for pregnant celebrities as everyone from Kim Kardashian, to Jenna Dewan-Tatum to Alyson Hannigan,  Vanessa Lachey, and Sarah Michelle Gellar have been spotted in the style ensemble look.

It’s a pretty easy way to stay comfortable in a flowy dress and still fashionable. The denim jacket doesn’t have to be blue denim either. You can use colored denims, black or white and have the same framing effect of minmizing the potential muu-muu visual impact of wearing a maxi dress alone while preggers.

Below are three style palette options to pull off the look which is also great because it can be worn with flats, sandals, ballet flats, Mary Janes or even Doc Martin’s or Chuck Taylors. It’s that versatile!

Snooki & JWOWW give up reality TV to become fulltime stay-at-home moms

The Jersey Shore era has officially ended.

Next Wednesday will be the last episode of the spin off, Snooki & JWOWW, to the wildly popular MTV reality TV show which featured the some alcohol-induced, testosterone bucking and ratchet debauchery days and nights of a group of friends who vacationed on the New Jersey shore for summer vacation. The original show ran from 2009 to 2012 ending with the season Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was pregnant. 

Jennifer “JWOWW” Farley penned a sweet note alerting her fans of the end on her blog:

The end of Snooki and JWOWW is near! As women, it’s all about our kids. We don’t care about getting our hair or makeup done. We’re basically stay-at-home moms. The “Snooki and JWoww” series finale airs next Wednesday where you will see Snooki and Jionni get married and our baby Meilani get christened. It’s the end of a big chapter of our lives and it’s bittersweet. I think both Snooki and I want our kids to grow up having normal lives and not be in front of the cameras 24/7. We did it as adults so we had a choice, it’s time we let them have that choice to. Just because we won’t be on your TV screens anymore doesn’t mean you won’t be hearing our honest and dirty rambles! You just have to stay tuned to see where we’ll be next! Can’t wait for the next chapter in our lives! XOXO

This show lasted only two seasons because it appears there’s no ratings for breastfeeding moms. *snark*
I am actually that old that I remember when MTV used to just do specials in the summer following a few kids to the shore (not this group) for vacation and never imagined it would turn into a full-time show that will create stardom for its cast members. (Nicole has over 6 million followers on Twitter and JWOWW has close to 4 Million). At times, it was the highest rated show for the music network. 
Polizzi, who has two children, has gone on to pen a New York Times best seller and has a bunch of other lucrative entrepreneurial ventures.  Jennifer “JWOWW” Farley, too started a tanning lotion line and sells many products as well as appears on a variety of other reality TV shows on TV.
Among some of the other successful cast mates include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino who has his own show on TVGN about his life and Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio is a highly-paid and sought after DJ who has worked with 50 Cent to Britney Spears.
It was a fun ride.

Molly Sims covers ‘Fit Pregnancy’ Again, gives 2nd pregnancy insights

Actress, model and author Molly Sims covers the February edition of Fit Pregnancy.  She also covered the mag in 2012 when she was pregnant with her 2-year old son Brooks.
The mom-to-be gave some great insight to the life of the 2nd time pregnant woman in her cover interview.
She shared how this pregnancy has been easier even though she said she had morning sickness all day this round and only in the evening with her first. 
The author of the new Amazon bestelling book, “Everyday Supermodel: My Beauty, Fashion, and Wellness Secrets Made Simple” said she has learned “not to freak out over every single symptom,” and to be more practical, adding “now I know exactly how many onesies I need when the baby arrives. I don’t have the anxiety of being a first-time mom. Moreover, I know to wear my Spanx tights when I go out, and my T.E.D. compression hose when I fly to prevent blood clots.”
She also realized that being too hung up on wanting to realize a baby plan is not realistic. 
“First, I had a velamentous cord insertion [when the umbilical cord inserts into the fetal membranes rather than the middle of the placenta, causing a higher risk of rupture],” said Sims, who is married to hubby Scott Stuber. “The doctor monitored me closely throughout the pregnancy, and I had a scheduled C-section to protect the cord, which was necessary, but disappointing. This time, I don’t have the same condition, so I’m not opposed to a VBAC [vaginal birth after Cesarean].”
Imperfect can be perfect.

VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop’s Yandy Smith welcomes daughter

Congratulations to Love and Hip Hop‘s Yandy Smith on the birth of her daughter yesterday, Monday January 27. The music manager shared news of the baby’s impending arrival on her Instagram account yesterday.
“The Princess is coming,” she captioned a photo of herself in a maternity ward gown with her fiance Mendeecees Harris giving her a smooch. “We can’t wait to meet out little princess.”
This is the second child for the couple. They have a son, whom they welcomed in July 2012. He has two boys from previous relationships.
