Drew Barrymore welcomed 2nd daughter, Frankie, on Earth Day

It’s another girl for actress Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman. The two welcomed daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman, on Tuesday, April 22, Earth Day! How perfect given Drew’s “flower child” persona of the past.

The couple, who married in 2012, are parents to 1-year old Olive.

“Olive has a new little sister,” the statement read. “Everyone is healthy and happy!”

US Weekly accused of photoshopping Prince George

Gossip magazine US Weekly is under fire for “allegedly” altering a photo of Prince George.

As Page Six noted, George, son to Kate Middleton and Prince William, appeared paler and less rosy than depicted on the cover of the mag this week. His eyes also appeared slightly greener as well in the mag.

The editors denied it.

“The original image used for the Prince George cover was dark and bluish in tone and needed to be given an overall color shift for printing purposes,” a spokesperson for US Weekly stated. “By no means did we go in and alter the color of his eyes or cheeks in this process.”

What do you think?

It wouldn’t be the first time a magazine has edited a baby’s complexion and look, if true.

British mag OK! looked to have done the opposite. A photo of Kourtney Kardashian and her son Mason appeared as if Mason had been lightened.

KourtneyK addressed the cover photo, but to object to the way the mag photoshopped her to be thinner. Editors also photoshopped color of her top.

In reply, Kardashian tweeted, “One of those weeklies got it wrong again…they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks.”

It’s the type of distortion that causes women to think they should be a certain weight immediately after having a baby.

‘Snooki and JWoww’ gets renewed for third season

Congrats to moms-to-be Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her pal Jennifer “JWoww” Farley on the news that their MTV show Snooki and JWoww got renewed for a third season.

They announced the news via Twitter after the network’s upfronts this week.

You could barely see a bump on either ladies. Snooki is still early in her pregnancy and JWoww wore a draped top that scrunched in the middle.

Snooki announced earlier this month that she and fiance Jionni Valle are expecting their second child. JWoww revealed her news last December.

Ciara stuns in W magazine fashion shoot (PHOTOS)

Ciara looks stunning in photos published this week in W magazine featuring her 8-month pregnant belly.

The former model turned pop songstress explained in an article accompanying the photo spread that she has been active on photographing herself during her pregnancy to create a new tradition and to make sure she documents most of it.

“My mom and I don’t have a lot of photos of my early years,” she explained to W. “So I decided we should document everything. This is one of those moments you can’t repeat.”

The first time mom-to-be who reveals her due date is any day now, told the magazine that maternity wear has been tough for her this pregnancy.

“Pregnancy has been a great fashion challenge because you can’t wear things that you used to wear but you still want to feel like who you are,” Ciara told W. “I have to pay some credit to my fiancé’s closet, because I have worn probably all of his clothes.”

Ciara announced this January on “The View” that she was pregnant with fiance Future’s baby.

And she has also been going to one of her besties for advice: Kim Kardashian, noting that she’s gotten advice from KimK on “everything from breastfeeding to how a stroller works.”

Ciara adds,“you don’t know your child until they get here, you don’t know their personality.There is a lot of learning to do. I loved that advice.”

In gratitude for the shoot, the “Body Party” singer thanked the mag in a recent social media share.

“Thank You [W Mag] For Documenting One Of The Most Special Times In My Life, In The Most Beautiful Way Possible.” Ciara captioned a photo from the shoot she posted on Instagram.

Scarlett Johansson and Lupita Nyong’o to join ‘The Jungle Book’ cast with Idris Elba (VIDEO)

Rumored mom-to-be Scarlett Johannson (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and People magazine’s newly announced 2014 “Most Beautiful” person Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave) are reportedly in talks to join the cast of the upcoming animated Disney film version of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.

New dad for the second time, Idris Elba (Thor), has already been cast in the Jon Favreau -directed project set to film later this year.

Johannson would play the voice of villain Kaa, a python who hypnotizes and eats other animals; Nyong’o would voice Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts a young human boy named Mowgli; and the ferocious tiger Shere Khan would be voiced by Elba.

News surfaced last month that Johansson and fiance journalist Romain Dauriac are expecting although neither have confirmed the reports.

Daphne Oz returns to ‘The Chew’ with new baby, Her Maternity Retrospect in PHOTOS

The Chew‘s Daphne Oz came back to the show after delivering her first child, daughter, Philomena Bijou Jovanovic, in February, 26.

The TV host actually announced the baby’s name on her dad, Dr. Oz’s, show last month, on March 4th and since we didn’t get to really bumpwatch her progression, we’re sharing a retro of her bump progression selfies from Instagram for ya! Philomena is Dr. Oz’s first grandchild.

Congrats Daphne and hubby investment analyst John Jovanovic, who showed up on set to show off baby today. She’s nicknamed Philo or PBJ, in honor of the popular sandwich, perfect for a host of a TV show for foodies. Daphne said picked the middle name Bijou for its French meaning, which translates to ‘jewel.’

Ciara poses with Easter Bunny with darker hair, About pregnant women and hair dye myth

Mom-to-be Ciara posted pics on Easter Sunday of herself posing up with a giant Easter bunny and another after getting ice cream on the holiday.

The photo also revealed that she has gone back to her original darker hair color. It also reminds us of an old wives tail about pregnant women and hair dye. There is a prevailing thought, which may be based on fear and myth, that dye may impact negatively on a growing baby.

It’s not entirely accurate that chemicals in hair dye and other hair products that alter the color or texture of the hair may penetrate your skin cells and infiltrate the fetus.

Dr. Roger W. Harms wrote for the Mayo Clinic site about dying your hair when pregnant, “when you use hair dye, a small amount of the dye may penetrate your skin. Generally, however, the dye isn’t thought to pose harm to a developing baby.

“Few studies have examined women’s use of hair dye before and during pregnancy, “he said. “A 2005 study suggested an association between hair dye and pregnancy and the childhood cancer neuroblastoma — but other studies haven’t reached the same conclusion. Most researchers say it’s unlikely that maternal use of hair products before or during pregnancy would increase the risk of childhood brain tumors.”

The good doctor has suggested that those concerned should talk to their health care provider, who may or may not suggest postponing any chemical hair treatments.

The Food and Drug Administration recommends for any person, pregnant or not, using hair dyes to:

Wear gloves when applying hair dye.
Apply hair dye as quickly as possible.
Rinse your scalp thoroughly after using hair dye.

For African American and Latina women who sometimes use chemical treatments to texturize, relax or soften their hair, similar precaution can be taken. Many women when they become pregnant avoid relaxers and switch to wearing braided hairstyles. The fear there too is the lye in the chemicals may somehow impact their growing fetus.

The styling consists of braiding or twisting their own natural hair or twisting in extensions that match their natural hair texture.

In the end, women should do what’s best for them and within the guidelines of their OB or midwife.

Christina Aguilera looks to be enjoying her pregnancy. The vocal powerhouse tweeted a photo of herself and fiance Mat Rutler in New York city this weekend with the caption, “Baby Loves NYC

And with pregnancy comes maternity leave and the rumor mill says a second Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum may be subbing for Aguilera while she is away: Gwen Stefani.

Recall, shortly after having her first child, Colombian-crossover superstar Shakira sat in as a guest judge on the hit NBC show. Stefani would make an excellent fill-in and will bring in that rocker edge!

News of the second pregnancy leaked in February and was confirmed just this month.

Lindsay Lohan says she recently suffered a miscarriage, Skeptics don’t believe her (VIDEO)

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan revealed during the finale of her OWN TV reality TV series Lindsay that she suffered a miscarriage during filming the show.

“No one knows this – I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off. It’s a very long story,” the Mean Girls actress said emotionally on the episode that aired yesterday, April 20.

“That’s why on the show when it says she doesn’t want to come down, she doesn’t want to come down, I couldn’t move. I was sick. And mentally that messes with you,” she said.”Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment and I can relate to that girl, which sounds kind of crazy, but I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is really sad. Who’s helping her?'”

She said an emergency left her immobilized. She could have been referencing the dilation and curretage (commonly called D&C) that is performed to remove tissue from a failed pregnancy following a miscarriage.

LiLo said the medical emergency left her immobilized.

“I couldn’t move, I was sick,” Lohan added. “Mentally, that messes with you.”

And that is quite true. After suffering a miscarriage myself in 2001, it took months to move forward and it is a mentally distressing thing to go through, especially if you were looking forward to carrying the child to term. Imagine how much additionally mentally traumatic it could be if you’re also overcoming addiction, filming a television show and having the pressure of trying to revive your career at the same time?

Lohan did not reveal who the father of her child was, but following the episode, multiple sources revealed that her mom Dina tweeted at Oprah Winfrey to call her. She soon thereafter deleted the tweet.

Very traumatic and from screening the clip (see below), it looks convincing, although many people are saying she is acting and making it up, perhaps to revive the show. It received only 700,000 viewers upon debut and has been suffering in the ratings since then.

It came off as genuine to me.

But based on what people saw on the show, her history of substance abuse and negligent and reckless behavior, and considering how many chances she’s been given, the hesitance of the public to believe the tragic event occurred or show her sympathy is understandable.
