2014 BET Awards Red Carpet dominated by WHITE (UPDATED PHOTOS)

Tamar Braxton-Herbert, Amber Rose, Eva Marcille, Apryl Jones and Gugu Mbatha-Raw all wore White to the 2014 BET Awards at the Nokia Theater at LA LIVE in Los Angeles, California on June 29, 2014.

UPDATED: It seemed like WHITE was the color of the evening on Sunday night’s 2014 BET Awards red carpet. Several of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums and other celebs went with the summer shade while working the arrivals to the annual show at the Nokia Theater at LA LIVE in Los Angeles, California.

Jennifer Freeman, Holly Robinson-Peete and Tamera Mowry-Housley looked fab and glam in gorgeous in their red carpet looks.

We spotted several brand new moms including Kerry Washington and Eva Marcille, both who welcomed their first child, respectively this year. Here is what they and other celeb moms who we have covered in the past looked like and who they wore:

Kerry Washington, who welcomed a daughter, Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha with husband Nnamdi Asomugha on April 21 wore the Dolce and Gabbana strapless cotton silk brocade dress (GET IT HERE) accented with a green clutch and Casadei pumps in Summer white.

Eva Marcille went with a fitted white SEN Couture dress showing off her bounced back body after welcoming daughter Marley with Kevin McCall in February this year.

My Wife and Kids alum Jennifer Freeman was gorgeous in a floor length hot pink Michael Costello gown.

Amber Rose showed off her tiny waist cinching it with a gold colored belt around the middle of her long sleeved V-neck dress. She barely smiled because her mind was on son Sebastian who she cut out on the award show mid-broadcast to go home and see. Awwww! That’s realness right there.

Omarion is expecting with his girlfriend Apryl Jones who also did white and long fishtail train similar to the sheer style she wore for her coral-themed baby shower last week.

Tamar Braxton-Herbert, who had a fainting spell while performing last week, went va-va-voom in a white jersey SEN Couture dress though she looked to need a little more support to really polish off the look which she accentuated with gold clutch and jewels and Christian Louboutin pumps.

Holly Robinson-Peete showed off one of her best assets: her strong shoulders in a peach one shoulder dress.

Tamera Mowry-Housley is gorge in a fitted Yigal Azrouël python leather zip up mini dress. Not seen in this pic are her fab Saint Laurent Snake Embossed Silver and Black Cap Toe Pumps.

Interesting mesh and satin dress and strappy wrapped pumps there Kyla Pratt. The mom to 3 1/2 year old Lyric Kai Kilpatrick and another daughter born last August with beau Danny Kilpatrick and actress was giving “tude” and Face on the red carpet. Love the confidence.

Oh Hi Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Going with the Little Black Mermaid scales dress we see. hmmmm.

WE BLOGGED ABOUT THIS YEAR.

The shopkeeper and reality TV star of Keeping up with the Kardashian wore a pair of denim cut off overalls the same day she hosted her niece’s North’s first birthday party at her new home in Calabasas that was once owned by Justin Bieber. She made it funky by pairing them with gladiator sandals.

Several decades ago, pregnant women lived in overalls because there weren’t really many maternity options. But since then, more labels, brands and designers have branched out and have gotten into the market creating stylish, trendy and fashionable maternity clothes. It freed moms-to-be from restrictions and opened up many options for them.

And as luck would have it, overalls are back in fashion and are seen on A-listers and socialites nationwide. The new variety have more shape and form, but who cares about that. Finally, you can kick back and wear your overalls carefree and be in style at the same time. Its a win-win.

Trend Alert: How to get Celeb-style Neon Nails

This Summer, if you dare to go bold and experiment with neon colored nail polish you may have seen on the fingertips of your favorite celebrity, here is a simple tutorial from FindItWeddings to get you started if you venture to do it yourself.

1. Make sure you remove all traces of old nail polish and then wash off all traces of nail polish remover.

2. Buffing your nails gives them a super smooth surface so you get a great finish.

3. Try a rubberized base coat to help the nail polish stay on longer and will help the nail polish to bond better. Make sure it is completely dry before applying polish.

4. Give your nail polish a shake but not vigorously as you may create air bubbles.

5. Don’t be in a rush. Apply thin coats and let them dry before re-applying. Don’t sit by a fan either as this may also create bubbles in the wet polish. Humidity will retard the drying process so allow extra time if it’s humid. Be patient.

6. If you smudge your nails ( so easily done) use a smudge repair product rather than having to start again and run the risk of messing up other nails.

7. Finally, finish with a top coat to protect your nail art design. Using a top coat will not only help protect from damage but will increase the life of your manicure.

Fashion: Celeb-style summer Swim options for baby girls

Summer is around the corner. Parents to little girls have many more options of pretty and fun bathing suit options. As we’ve posted about in the past, some even include bikinis which can get controversial as when Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope Disick was photographed in one as a baby and a pre-schooler.

But at the end of the day, the bathing suits are only sexualized based on who is in it. A cross-dressing man in a bikini wouldn’t be considered sexually provocative for most people, neither obese people who society deems shouldn’t be wearing one because it exposes their not-so-ideal bodies, per traditional standards. Therefore, unless you are looking at a baby in a sexual way, is there anything wrong with him or her in one?

All that being said, our partners Alex and Alexa has loads of bathing options for girls that are super cute, and some on the pricey end because they are usually from couture and expensive labels, but there are affordable options too.
