It’s quite easy for stars to wear the same dresses given that designers make available to stylists the same spectrum of options. Our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Hudson have been captured often in the same outfit within days of one another over the years.

Per the above photo: in April 2011, in an Alexander McQueen epaulet top; last October 2013, in a Donna Karan Draped Plunging-Neck Dress; in March 2013, in a Donna Karan Metallic Foldover Stretch Pencil Skirt;and again in 2011 again, in Herve Leger by Max Azria.

BET Awards Weekend: Jennifer Hudson previews new album at press junket

Bellyitch BumpWatch alum Jennifer Hudson looked casual and svelte while interviewing with various radio stations during a Pre- BET Awards press junket today June 27 at the JW Marriott at LA LIVE entertainment complex in Los Angeles, California.

She previewed songs of her next self-titled album due out September 30 as well and also paused to take photos with various Djs

Tony Awards: Red Carpet, On Stage and Behind the Scenes (PHOTOS)

Tonight’s 68th annual Tony Awards, held at the Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York city was a treat and we enjoyed it especially because we got to see a lot of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums shine on the Red Carpet and the stage. Stars such as Fantasia Barrino who wowed in a turquoise form fitting dress with a small train on the red carpet before doing a show-stopping number with music greats Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight (above with Patti) with the cast from “After Midnight“.

Also hitting the stage was our alum Indina Menzel who will star in her play If/Then but did an amazing job belting out the tune “Always Starting Over” on stage tonight.

Before then, she was ga ga glam on the red carpet in a back scoop magenta satin dress.

Oscar-winning Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson gave her fans a sneak peek into her dressing room as she prepared to hit the stage and perform a song with the cast of “Finding Neverland.”

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal also looked fabulous presenting while showing off her new dark cropped cut which looked great with her featered Dolce & Gabbana dress over Manolo Blahnik heels.

Though not a Bumpwatch “mom”, we’ve covered dad Neil Patrick Harris plenty in the past. Today, his legs and arms looked toned to the max while dressed in drag and performing with the cast of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch“

Earlier in the night, he arrived with his longtime partner David Burtka in matching tuxes.

A fave from the night was singer actress and Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Thalia the Latina singer who is also married to producer Tommy Mottolla, who was married to Mariah Carey briefly at the beginning of her career.

Jennifer Hudson joins the Bellyitch Posh Mom Style Icon List

It has been over a year since we acknowledged a fashion-forward celebrity mom worthy to receive our elusive Posh Mom Style Icon designation. The last mominista recognized with the honor, which identifies the few who are effortlessly stylish with or without the help of a celebrity stylist, was pop songstress P!nk in 2012. Before her, First Lady Michelle Obama was dubbed an icon in 2011. Other designees include, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Ripa, Victoria Beckham, Tichina Arnold and Christina Milian.

Our newest inductee on the list is an alum finalist of the American Idol TV singing competition and recently severed ties with Weight Watchers, a company for which she served as a spokesperson over the course of her 80+ pound weight loss after giving birth to her son David Otunga, Jr. in August 2009. Since then, Hudson has become a fashion muse for many a designers and has been seen in couture and custom pieces by Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Balmain, Michael Kors, Christian Dior and others as well as some imprints and up and coming design houses.

The singer and Academy Award winner has one of the best stylist team around because they do a wonderful job of outfitting Hudson in clothes to flatter her curvy shape and her relatively tall stature makes it so that she always has clean lines and looks very polished. She experiments with color often and also does patterns and geometric shapes along with various textures. She has a versatile style aesthetic and can wear almost anything.

The Think Like a Man singer has also become a regular fixture on magazine covers and has been one of the few to land a coveted Vogue cover.

Recently, the Dream Girls and Winnie biopic actress trimmed her locs and forewent wearing wigs and extensions and has been able to carry off the chic look well and show off her elongated neck line well. It was an A+ move. As we all know, not everyone can get away with short hair.

The multi-award nominated and winning artist balances a music and acting career, several charities, spokesperson duties and touring all while caring for her son and being a partner to long-time fiance David Otunga, and supporting her family still recuperating from a devastating loss of Hudson’s mom, nephew and brother a few years back.

The Spotlight singer is currently working on her third studio album “It’s Your World” to be released in the coming year.

But she handles it all with style and grace and for this reason, we have selected her to join our other elite and limited listing of celebrity posh mom style icons.

Jennifer takes fashion risks with geometric patterns and prints

Jennifer isn’t afraid of going bold with color.

But Jennifer can rock exquisitely when she wants to as well.

Jennifer is Queen of the pencil skirt or dress which is one of the most flattering for her curvaceous yet still svelte figure.

Polka dots, plaid, leopard prints? Jennifer is fearless in donning it all and mixing it up with a splash of color or bangs.

Jennifer also looks elegant in floor-length and full ball gowns.

Not everyone will show off their legs, but Jennifer goes bold in a mini skirt or dress often.

And her performance gear is on point as well!

Celeb moms rock 2014 BET Honors RedCarpet and Stage (PHOTOS)

Some of our past Bellyitch Bumpwatch moms rocked the red carpet and stage to the 2014 BET Honors this past weekend during its Saturday, February 8th taping at the Warner Theater in Washington, DC.

Comedian Wayne Brady hosted the 3-hour star studded event which honored Aretha Franklin, Ice Cube, Berry Gordy, Nelson Mandela, Chairman and CEO of American Express Kenneth Chenault and photographer and visual artist Carrie Mae Weems.

Jennifer Hudson showed major leg in a super short white mini dress with a cut out for a structured black bra to peek thru! Hot!

Tamar Braxton-Herbert brought Hollywood Glam to DC in a Gold figure hugging evening dress on the red carpet. During the performances later, she paid tribute to Gordy, singing songs of one of his most famous proteges: Diana Ross. The VH1 reality TV star of The Braxtons and Tamar and Vince channeled the iconic diva in another curve hugging wine-colored dress with a plunging neckline that also showed off her super trim post-baby body. The TV co-host of Fox‘s The Real sang some of Ross’s biggest tunes, including the chart topping and memorable “Upside Down.”

Mariah Carey headlined and opened the show with a song from her upcoming album in a sexy dress revealing mucho boobage. MiMi didn’t walk the red carpet but she was spotted carrying daughter Monroe into the theater (see photo in collage below).

Wow, Mariah! After showing all that leg on the red carpet, Hudson went demure in a whit pant suit while signing her tribute to honoree Aretha Franklin. She and singer-songwriter phenom Janelle Monae who did a tribute to Gordy met up with the legend back stage.

The show airs on Monday, February 24th at 9pm ET on BET.

Celeb Moms Rock People’s Choice Awards Red Carpet (PHOTOS)

Last night, at the People’s Choice Awards held January 8, LIVE at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Califrornia, many of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch moms of the past graced the red carpet looking amazing.

Here are those we spotted:

Jennifer Hudson stole the night with her moving speech accepting the Humanitarian award for a charity she founded after her mother, brother and nephew were gunned down in Chicago. Before that moment, she wowed in a white fitted Kaufmanfranco dress from the Spring 2014 line and some cute sandals with perfected understated matted lips. It matched well with her new pixie cut and bronzed eye shadow. Perfect!

Britney Spears was a big winner last night, walking away with a Favorite Female Performer, Favorite Pop Singer and Fan Music Favorite awards. She looked sizzling hot in a nude with black embroidered accent Mikael D dress from the designers’ Fall 2013 line

Malin Akerman was showing off the girls in a Cushnie Et Ochs Spring 2014 dress with an interesting window peephole front in the bodice. Not feeling it much. But the mary janes on her feet are rocking.

Heidi Klum did it again in another over-the-top look this time by Giorgio Armani from his Fall 2013 collection. She went with Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. No comment.

Anna Faris looked absolutely stunning in a fitted sheer nude floor-length Naeem Khan top and skirt set. She walked the carpet with hubby Chris Pratt.

Jessica Alba did Winter White as well in a fitted Jason Wu bandage dress with gold accents and white Casadei pumps with Jennifer Meyer jewels. She definitely was on the best dressed list this round.

Sarah Michelle Gellar donned a Sachin + Babi dress which looked elegant though looked a bit too matronly for the youngish actress. Similarly the Jimmy Choo heels were safe and a bit underwelming. She accented the black and white ensemble with Neil Lane jewels.

Sandra Bullock looked amazing in a Peter Pilotto Resort 2014 embroidered overlay dress. The parted hair was a winner and her neutral makeup flawless. Gawgeous, Sandy!

Emily Deschanel in a BCBGMAXAZRIA dress accented by Miss Delicious shoes, House of Lavande earrings, Swarovski ring and an Edie Parke clutch. Cute. Can we have the shoes?

Melissa Joan Hart’s hair, make up looked gorgeous. The Swarvoski earrings were on point, matched with an Oroton clutch. She’s catching flak today for her strapless asymmetrical El Lay dress which isn’t really bad at all. It’s colorful and stands out, works with her shape and has people talking. Last fall, she released a book “Melissa Explains it All” which detailed heavy drug use and random hook-ups with celeb co-stars. Oh my! These Disney stars boy!

Mom to be Drew Barrymore won a Spring 2014 Vionnet dress which lacked shape and had her lookgin boxy. Barrymore joked on stage, while giving out the award for Favorite Comedic movie, about Ellen DeGeneres calling her fat as a joke. Barrymore is expecting her second child with hubby Will Kopelman.
