Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and her 2 month old new born son Ace Wells Tucker are featured in a recent People Magazine and in it, the biz mogul & award-winning songwriter talks about the fertility treatment she and her husband Todd Tucker underwent in order to have a baby.
“We really worked hard for him,” said Burruss, who turned to IVF treatment in Spring of 2014 after failing to get pregnant after a while. “It was a long process and lots of needles.”
The couple are already parents to two daughters: 13-year old Riley, Burruss’ daughter from a previous relationship and 19-year old Kaela, Tucker’s daughter from a previous relationship.
And now that they are first time parents all over again, they are going through parenthood brand new.
“It’s like starting all over,” Burruss added. “We were like, ‘Which bottles do we use? What diapers do we buy?’ Simple stuff that you would think I already know and I don’t. It’s silly.”
She also talks a bit about the nursery theme. They are sitting in the middle of it in the feature story photos.
“We wanted a safari theme because we met in Africa, but we didn’t want it to be over the top,” says Burruss. “It’s safari chic,” adds Tucker. “Safari clean.”
Nice!
