Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes welcomes first child, daughter

Congratulations US Gymnastics Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time Olympian Dominique Dawes on the birth of her first child, a daughter.
Dawes, who married Maryland Religion teacher Jeff Thompson last Easter, shared the news of her “natural” childbirth on her Twitter feed yesterday:
She shared photos of herself pregnant in social media in September 2013 but only posted a super baby bump photo on her Facebook page last December, alerting most of her fans and followers that she was expecting.

She joins 4 other members of her Magnificent 7 team members, who were part of the first US gymnastics team in history to take the all-around Gold medal in the Olympics, known to have had babies including, Kerri Strug who gave birth in June 2012; Shannon Miller, who had her second child this past July 2013 after battling cancer;  Amanda Borden who gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in July 2000 and Dominique Mocceaneu, who has two children with her husband fellow gymnast Mike Canales
Amy Chow is married and a pediatrician now and no word on what Jaycie Phelps, who rounds up the 7, is up to now.
Since retiring from the sport, Dawes has coached, been a media analyst, a motivational coach and speaker, consultant and a TV host and sports commentator.
Congrats!
