Last night at the 71st annual Golden Globes awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, we spotted certain trends worn among our recent Bellyitch Bumpwatch moms and other celebrity mothers, generally. One such trend was the traditional form-fitting evening dress as worn by actresses Paula Patton, Reese Witherspoon and model Camila Alves whose husband, Mathew McConaughey walked away with Best Actor in a motion picture, drama for Dallas Buyers Club.
Actresses Sandra Bullock, Tina Fey (host of the night) and Sofia Vegara went with billowy floor length ball gowns.
And new mom Uma Thurman and Heidi Klum went in black.
Who was your fave mom last night?
And generally, other trends included:
Black and White theme: Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Roberto Cavalli ,Hayden Panettiere in Tom Ford, Downtown Abbey‘s Laura Carmichael in a white strapless with minimal black striping dress, Julia Roberts in Dolce & Gabbana, Allison Williams from Girls in a mostly black evening dress with a structured striped bodice and Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence in Dior.
Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren, Lena Dunham in Zac Posen, Taylor Schilling in Thakoon, Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein, and Maria Menounos did rich jewel tones.
Going with color block was Amy Adams in Valentino, Aubrey Plaza win Oscar de la Renta, Taylor Swift in Carolina Herrera, Sandra Bullock in Prabal Gurung and Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera.
It’ flu season again.

A belated congratulations to actor Rockmond Dunbar from The Mentalist on the birth of his daughter, Berkeley Seon.
Dunbar, known for his role in the Showtime TV show Soul Food and Prison Break tweeted the news:
“Mom is doing great,” he tweeted on December 6. “We are absolutely in LOVE with our daughter.”
His wife, actress Maya Gilbert Dunbar stars in this season of Banshee on Cinemax. The couple got engaged in December 2012 and married in June 2013.
Back in October, Dunbar had to clear up with his Twitter followers that Maya had not yet given birth after they misinterpreted his “praise” tweet.
Last September, Dunbar’s co-stars (Vanessa Williams, Boris Kodjoe and spouse/co-star Nicole Ari Parker and Malinda Williams) from the serial sitcom spun off the hit cult classic move Soul Food came out to help him celebrate the impending arrival at a baby shower for Maya.
