Cavs NBA Player Iman Shumpert delivered his own child with fiance Teyana Taylor

More babies for Kanye West as his G.O.O.D .Music label artist, R&B singer Teyana Taylor welcomed her first child, a daughter early, this Wednesday, December 16…and she was delivered by her finance Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert!

The two have been dating since last year and Shumpert announced on his social media Instagram account that their daughter was expected to arrive on January 16, 2016.

“I couldn’t be more happy than to share my first child with the woman I intended to have my family with.” Shumpert captioned a reposted photo of Taylor’s sonogram she shared on her page. “Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr is expected to enter this world (on) ‘1.16.16.’… I love you @teyanataylor thank you for your sacrifice in starting our very own family!…I know you see my daughter with her hand behind her head and her feet kicked up… she’s already daddy’s little girl!!!”

But little Imani wasn’t waiting.

Taylor detailed the early arrival and bathroom birth story in a photo of the newborn cradled in Shumpert’s arms:

On Dec 16th at 6:42am in our bathroom Junie decided she wanted to take her first breath into this world.

She came out as a wonderful surprise to everyone! Not knowing I was in labor until I felt her head…it took two ten count pushes with my fiancé playing Dr and she entered this world into his bare hands!

Eyes full of tears and barely able to speak to the emergency operator @imanshumpert tied a pair of red headphones around the umbilical cord and the ambulance made there grand entrance 5 min later. She opened her eyes right away, gazed into mine and never cried!

He handed her to me wrapped in our bath towel and wiped her face for me to see what LOVE really is. She has blown Christmas away! Our family is complete. Her blueprint will be unmatched.

Welcome Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr. Mommy carried you. Daddy delivered you. #MeetTheParents we love you baby girl?????

Wow! Congrats! The two got engaged 5 weeks ago.

And I totally missed this, but Taylor shared some pretty creative Maternity Portraits with her fans and followers in recent weeks.

John Legend threw Chrissy Teigen an Epic 30th Birthday Party and Dave Chappelle was There!

This might be old news for some of you all, but over the Thanksgiving weekend, John Legend threw his pregnant wife talk show host and model Chrissy Teigen an epic 30th birthday party at the NYC Comedy club Comedy Cellar.

The best part is he got the now-reclusive comic genius Dave Chappelle to come out and  perform a comedy set for her! That’s love! Dude doesn’t gig that  much any more and only does occasional sets here and there.

“Chrissy’s birthday party on Saturday was pretty amazing,”Legend captioned a photo of Chappelle on his Instagram page. “She wanted to celebrate her 30th with some of her favorite things: comedy, great food and good friends. So we took over the Comedy Cellar for the night, with the catering of @davidchang and the @momolongplay team.

“The Comedy Cellar helped us curate a talented group of comedians to make us laugh all night, and our surprise (to Chrissy, not to me) closer was the incomparable, brilliant Dave Chappelle. Thanks so much to Dave for his generosity. he freestyled for about 2 hours and it was genius. I’ve heard about his small club sets but this was the first time I was able to see it in person. He’s so good and we felt so fortunate to witness it.”

  1.     Florida Keys – With average temperatures in the 70’s, even during January and February, the Florida Keys offer American families the chance to get as close to the equator as possible without leaving the continental United States. In addition to the many beaches and water sports, there are also ample opportunities to learn more about marine life on a glass-bottomed boat or a chartered eco-tour.
  2.     Dominican Republic – Skipping the country in search of warmer climates doesn’t have to empty your bank account. During the winter months, most resorts in the beautiful and exotic Dominican Republic slash their prices dramatically, leaving their prices well within most budgets. Temperatures during the winter months also tend to hover in the high 70’s to 80’s.
  3.     Maya Riviera, Mexico – With year-round temperature averages of about 78°, the Maya Riviera is a popular destination for those who aren’t wild about winter weather. From sparkling beaches to spectacular Mayan ruins, there’s definitely something to suit every member of your family in the area.
  4.     Hawaii – If you don’t mind a bit of crowding, the Hawaiian Islands may be the perfect choice for your winter getaway. Some hotels and restaurants are closed or on limited schedules during the winter months, but there are still plenty of attractions to keep everyone entertained and out of the snow during winter break.
  7.     Phoenix, Arizona – With spring-like temperatures hovering in the high 60’s, the many attractions and activities in Phoenix make the city a great escape from winter weather for a short jaunt during winter break. There are plenty of activities for kids, including museums and other educational pursuits, as well as a variety of outdoor activities.
  8.     Guanacaste, Costa Rica – From zip-lining through rainforests and thrilling canopy tours to surfing lessons and low-key horseback trail rides, there’s plenty of tropical fun to be had in Costa Rica during the winter months. The crowds are almost non-existent and prices are dramatically dropped during the winter season, which can be quite rainy in certain areas but is easily avoidable by traveling a very short distance.
  9.     Orlando, Florida – Families have been making the pilgrimage to Orlando year-round for decades to visit the Happiest Place on Earth and take advantage of the many amenities. It’s significantly less expensive during the winter months, provided that you avoid peak days like Christmas, New Year’s and Valentine’s Day, and will have average temperatures in the low 70’s.
  10.     Cyprus – The third largest Mediterranean island is dotted with olive and citrus groves, mountains and beaches, and is an impressively low-cost winter vacation destination for families. Temperatures are in the high 70’s from November to February. The island also does not shut down during the winter low season, so you’ll still be able to visit historical sites, go hiking, and enjoy the many amenities of hotels whose rates drop by almost half from November through March.

Which Halloween Candy Has the Most Sugar (INFOGRAPHIC)

Halloween is for candy and candy usually means sugar!

I just finished stocking up on candy to give out to Trick-or-Treaters who will be knocking on our door tomorrow. Of course, I couldn’t resist but sneak a few pieces. I have no will power over Snickers! They are my fave.

Alas, Halloween also marks the start of the season of wrecking diets and healthy eating plans.  After Halloween comes Thanksgiving and then Holiday parties and then Christmas cookies, pies, cakes and other goodies.  Oy!

It’s a good time to watch the sugar intake now, not just for yourself but also the children in your family.

Want to know which confection as the most sugar? Sugar Babies have a whopping 15 grams of sugar followed by Blow Pops which have 13 grabs of sugar. A safer bet would be a Dum Dum lollipop which has just 4 grams of sugar or a packet of Smarties which has 5 grams of sugar.

In Lieu of A Columbus Day Post, Here are 3 Celeb Moms with Native American Heritage

In lieu of a Columbus Day Post, we’re sharing tidbits of 3 Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums who have Native American heritage. It is also Thanksgiving in Canada today and they too are celebrating the indigenous people who lived there before European settlers arrived.

Did you know….

Angelina Jolie‘s mother, the late Marcheline Bertrand, claimed Native American ancestry. She and her partner, Native American activist and poet John Trudell, founded the All Tribes Foundation to benefit Native Americans.

Jessica Biel’s mother’s family is part Native American.

A feature in Vogue in 2010 read “those crazy-high cheekbones are shared by her younger brother, mother, and grandmother. When she tells me that her parents dehydrate their own food, culture their own vegetables, and make their own coconut kefir, I can’t help laughing. ‘I actually do, too’” she says.”

Cree Summer  grew up on the Red Pheasant Reserve in Saskatchewan. Her dad Don Franks, a Canadian musician and her mom Lili Red Eagle, an African American from Cali raised Summer on a reservation and she is an adopted member of the Plains Cree First Nations.

5 tips to save you a thousand calories on your Christmas meal

Granted the Christmas holiday is a time to really tear down on some really good food, but the season is smack dab in the middle of a series of Holidays (Thanksgiving, Hanukkah  Diwali, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Easter) of non-stop eating that have the average person packing on pounds that they don’t shed later. 
A typical Christmas dinner plate can be 2,900 or more.  People think it’s the turkey, roasted chicken or hen, or the Christmas ham that make them so sleepy and tired after Christmas meal, but in reality, it is all the carbohydrates that are part of the average Christmas meal: cornbread, stuffing, rice, macaroni pie, rolls, casseroles, pasta, etc.
There are simple ways to save some of those calories. Here are five tips:
1. Say no to the gravy. 
2.  Put only two portions of carbs on your plate instead of three.
3. Fill up with veggies, salads, cabbage, green beans. Have those items take up most of your plate. 
4. Drink a full glass of water before you eat to trick your body into getting fuller faster.
5. If there is a salad served, eat that first before eating the hot foods. This move will also help trick your body into getting fuller faster on less high calorie, high carbs foods.
The most important of which is portion control. If you must sample all the goodies, opt for one tablespoon of each verses a full portion size. 


Now if only you can resist all the yummy desserts, egg nog, chocolates, gingerbread houses, and other sweet treats served up during the holidays, you’d be golden!

Celebrity Worship Fail: VH1 asks readers what celebrity moments they are ‘thankful for’

I thought Thanksgiving was about being thankful for family, health, safety, security, overcoming odds, beating challenges, friends and all positive things in our lives that we may take for granted. 
So to see VH1’s Gossip Table’s post ask people what celebrity moments are us regular folks most thankful for, I literally dropped my mouth. 
Have we all turned into such a celebrity worship society and culture that we now count events in the lives of celebrities among OUR blessings?
Please say this isn’t so! Am I overreacting or is this a shallow superficial Thanksgiving post fail?
