Father’s Day: Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane support Huggies #HugsDelivered effort (RT!)

Yesterday wasn’t an ordinary day for our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum actress Rebecca Gayheart and her hubby actor Eric Dane.

The two helped out the Los Angeles, California-based charity Baby2Baby haul Huggies diapers delivered by the disposable nappies maker to the organization’s headquarters on June 10.

In honor of Father’s Day this Sunday, for every use of the hashtag #HugsDelivered through Father’s Day, Huggies will donate additional diapers to the group which Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba both serve as board members.

Gayheart and Dane in the past have supported the non-profits efforts to collect cash and product donations that go to help impoverished pregnant and new moms and their babies in the LA area so they can get a good start in parenthood and life.

Other past celebrity supporters and ambassadors/angels include our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums: Sarah Drew, currently preggers Alyssa Milano, Busy Phillips, Ellen Pompeo, Jessica Capeheart, Molly Sims, Selma Blair, Drew Barrymore, Rachel Zoe, Jaime King, Gwen Stefani and Holly Madison.

Kelly Rowland announced her pregnancy in the cutest way

Congratulations to singer Kelly Rowland who announced her pregnancy in the cutest way today.

She posted an Instagram photo of a pair of Jordan Nike tennis shoes near a pair of tiny ones with the caption, “I’ll be stuning like my daddy.”

awwwwwww!!!!!!!! So cute!

The Destiny’s Child singer married her manager and boyfriend Tim Witherspoon just last month in an intimate wedding in Costa Rica. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on June 10, the songstress said her wedding was simply “perfect.”

NY Mets Daniel Murphy is face of paternity leave at White House event (VIDEO)

At the start of the Baseball season, New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy made lots of news over his decision to miss the first two games, including the season opener, in order to take paternity leave and be with his new wife during the birth of their first child together.

Famous sports radio DJs Mike Francesca and NFL vet Boomer Esiason went on a tirade suggesting Murphy’s wife get a C-Section so the breadwinner could do what puts food on their plate.

For his bravery to put his baby over the game, Murphy was a featured speaker at an event with business leaders, administration officials and other working fathers at the White House yesterday. He spoke about the situation and challenges of balancing work and life.

About the critics to his decision, Murphy said, “I wanted to be there. I wanted to be there for my wife and for my son,” adding “Long after they tell me I am not good enough to play baseball anymore, I’ll be a husband, and I’ll be a father.”

The event also promoted the Obama administration’s policies on paid parental leave and “extensive workplace flexibility option.”

The event is in advance of a June 23rd White House Summit on Working Families that will involve engaging groups and individuals “to identify initiatives that benefit America’s working families, American businesses, and the American economy,” a White House release stated.

In order to stay competitive, companies need to attract and retain the best talent, and policies that support working families are crucial to these goals, the White House also noted.

Lil Kim welcomes daughter, Royal Reign

Congratulations to veteran rapper Lil Kim on the birth of her daughter on Monday, June 9. A source to US Weekly confirms.

The pint-sized recording artist who rose to fame in the 90s alongside her mentor rap pioneer The Notorious B.I.G. is said to have named her child Royal Rein.

After rumors circulated about the pregnancy following an appearance at a New York Fashion Week show with a very bulbous belly, Kim eventually confirmed the news while performing a few hours later.

Although Kim has never confirmed who the baby’s father is officially, rapper Mr. Papers did in social media and was very present at the lavish Royal themed baby shower that took place last month. The event was filmed for David Tutela‘s new show, CELEBrations which will air this August 1 on WE TV.

Mom-to-be Chelsea Clinton keynotes leadership conference at University of Maryland

Former First Daughter and mom-to-be Chelsea Clinton is not letting pregnancy slow her down.

She was the keynote speaker at the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders event at the University of Maryland at College Park (my alma mater) on Thursday, June 5, addressing the challenges facing women and the role of women leaders.

Clinton announced in April on her Facebook page that she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting their first baby in the fall.

Clinton, who currently serves as the Vice Chair of her dad President Bill Clinton‘s Clinton Foundation, co-leads a female empowerment initiative called “No Ceilings” with her mom Former U.S. Secretary of State and presumptive front runner for the Democratic nomination for the 2016 US Presidential election Hillary Clinton.

Kourtney Kardashian is reportedly pregnant with her 3rd child

The rumor mill says that Kourtney Kardashian and long time beau Scott Disick are expecting their third child together. A source tells US Weekly that the couple, who are parents to 4-year old son Mason and 23-months old daughter Penelope, planned the latest editions.

Kardashian apparently told her sister Kim Kardashian during an episode of the family’s hit E! TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she didn’t believe in birth control any longer, and wants to have more children.

Congrats if the early reporting proves true. You never know.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic’s surrogate suffers miscarriage

Sad news for E! Hostess Giuliana Rancic and her hubby Bill Rancic who stars alongside Guiliana in their reality TV show Giuliana and Bill.

The couple recently revealed that their surrogate, Delphine, who, in 2012, helped them welcome their 21-month old son Edward Duke, recently suffered a miscarriage while carrying their second child.

“This whole season on Giuliana and Bill, we’ve been trying to have another baby,” Bill told People magazine about their reality show. “Unfortunately, our surrogate Delphine, who we love very much, had a miscarriage. It’s something that we didn’t see coming. We were devastated.”

He added, she “was about nine weeks pregnant. We were pretty close to getting into the safe zone,” he continues. “We experienced a miscarriage years ago when we were trying with Giuliana, so we had been keeping the pregnancy news tight to the vest.”

Before Duke was born, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.

Bill told the magazine the couple is not giving up their efforts to expand their family.

“Hopefully, we’re going to have good news, and Delphine will be on board one more time,” he said.

Prince Albert is expecting first child eligible to inherit throne since his out-of-wedlock prior kids aren’t

Congratulations to Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco on the news this past Friday that the royal couple are expecting their first child together since marrying in 2011.

The royal family confirmed that the former Olympic swimmer from South Africa and the eldest son of Prince Rainier and the late Princess Grace will welcome their baby by year’s end.

This will be Albert’s third child, but only this baby will be in line for the throne since Albert’s other two children, daughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi and son Alexandre Coste were born out of wedlock from previous relationships and cannot be heirs to the throne.
