Kate Middleton continues public appearances as due date nears

Kate Middleton is due next month and this second pregnancy is showing to surely suit the petite royal.  Her hair is looking shinier and healthier and more fuller than usual.
She is still active despite the pending due date and today was spotted going to a re-opening of the Goring hotel.
She’s staying stylish too.  Recently Catherine Duchess of Cambridge wore a blue “Gerbera” Max Mara coat from the 2014 Sports Max collection, under a Serpahine “Floirrie” dress, accented with comfortable JImmy Choo Georgia pumps and a clutch “Frome” bag from one of her mainstay Brit designers, LK Bennet while visiting the Emma Bridgewater Pottery and Cape Hill Children Centre in Straffordshire, England.
Beautiful, Kate!

Second Pregnancy Fizzle: Designers are ‘over’ Kate Middleton’s Maternity style

Like a second child, a second pregnancy also gets less attention and fan fare. This is even true in the case of celebrity pregnancies. Take Kate Middleton, for example.  Shortly, after Buckingham Palace announced her second pregnancy last September, a survey said fans and followers were “over” her and all the hype that surrounded the Duchess especially during her first pregnancy. She had dropped in favorability ranking.
When she was expecting Prince George, now 1-year old, there were endless articles, blog posts and even a war of fans between hers and Kim Kardashian’s. The two women were expecting around the same time in 2013.
We too realized eventually that we weren’t going to see Middleton get too bold and daring with the fashion given the restrictions of being a royal. It’s a pretty conservative gig being a Duchess.
We’re not the only one either who noticed it. English fashion designer Zandra Rhodes reportedly said he hasn’t been following Catherine Duchess of Cambridge’s maternity style on account of being too busy.  *Gasp*
Duchess Cate’s due date is coming up soon and it’s certainly been less attention paid to the entire pregnancy compared to the past. We have seen her switch it up a bit and give her props for playing with more color, pastels, patterns and repeating outfits and setting a good eco-example!

Kate Middleton emerges from being sidelined by morning sickness

The Duchess of Cambridge has restarted public appearances again. This week, the former Kate Middleton headed to a London primary school that she was scheduled to visit in October before being sidelined by extreme morning sickness.
At the visit to a new Art Room at Barlby Primary School, Middleton wore a French tweed Madderson London “Naomi” dress from its Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. The navy above-the-knee shift dress has gold buttons, top stitching detail, three-quarter sleeves and an invisible zimmer in the back.
It’s already sold out at Pinstripe and Pearls.
The children greeted her with a banner they made themselves and gifted her a tin chair made up of stamps donated by the Royal Household. Maybe that adorable Prince George will get to use it. Very cute.

Kate Middleton lands in America, Bumps around NYC

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince William arrived in the United States yesterday, December 7 for a short visit to promote their causes, tour charitable organizations and just grace us with their glam and sophistication.
The Royal Couple is staying at the historic Carlyle hotel in New York where Williams dad Prince Charles and his mom Princess Diana used to stay during their visits to America.

Kate started her duties today touring the Northside Center for Child Development which services thousands of low income families annually.

Kate was cute and comfy in her wool retro 1960s looking Goat Washington coat, set off with her cute pair of Annoushka pearl drop earrings hooked on hoops by Kiki McDonough. She carried a Mulberry Baywater black clutch, and kept her hands warm in Cornelia James’ Imogen Pure Wool Black gloves.

Chelsea Clinton-Kate Middleton hospital release comparisons are driving some crazy

So you guys know, three days after welcoming her first childChelsea Clinton left the hospital yesterday, Monday, September 29 in a Columbia blue and white patterned mini dress, cradling her daughter in swaddled blankets, flanked by her husband Marc Mezvinsky.

Media sites immediately started comparing the optics to Kate Middleton‘s hospital release after giving birth to Prince George in 2013. Middleton wore a blue polka dot dress with Prince William at her side in a blue shirt and black slacks.
The royal fans in the comment sections of these pieces and people who dislike the Clintons went beserk over the comparison! Aye!
Won’t share the toxicity here but we find the similar looks endearing. Most likely, it was unintentional. Chelsea recently gave up her $600,000 a year cushy job at NBC as a special correspondence to focus on her new role as a mom and her existing job working for her dad’s Clinton Global Initiative and Foundation.

Kate Middleton’s Hypermesis Gravidarum: What is it?

With news that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, is hospitalized (again) with severe morning sickness, there are countless mothers rolling their eyes, and many mothers-to-be dreading the possibility of feeling that bad.
Almost any woman who has been pregnant can tell you the moniker “morning sickness,” is a bit of a misnomer since the nausea can strike at any time.  While most women experience some form of morning sickness, most manage the nausea and vomiting on their own. However, there are women who do suffer from extreme morning sickness.
Extreme morning sickness is known in the medical community as hyperemesis gravidarum, and effects approximately 1% of pregnant women.  It tends to start earlier in pregnancy than regular morning sickness, and last longer. Typical morning sickness tends to wane as the second trimester begins, however for those with hyperemesis gravidarum the nausea and vomiting can last longer, even through the entire pregnancy.
While the nausea and vomiting associated with normal morning sickness is not considered harmful to mother or baby, hyperemesis gravidarum can potentially be harmful to the health of mother, baby, or both.  While many women who experience some vomiting in the first trimester may notice slight weight loss, women with severe morning sickness cannot keep enough in their stomach to meet the nutritional needs of mother and baby.
Also, persistent vomiting can lead to dehydration, which under normal circumstances is dangerous, but when pregnant can endanger the fetus.  A women with hyperemesis gravidarum who does not get treatment is at risk for complications, including organ failure and premature birth.
Currently, the causes of morning sickness, let alone severe morning sickness, are unknown. Some research has shown that it could be related to the levels of a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG. While every woman and every pregnancy are different there are some factors that might make you more prone to experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum.
If your mother or grandmother experienced severe morning sickness, you might be more prone to it. Also, those who are have a history of motion sickness, or migraines with vomiting or nausea, and those who are carrying multiples are at higher risk for developing such severe symptoms.
Signs of hyperemesis gravidarum include persistent nausea, inability to eat or keep anything down, weightloss, faintness or dizziness, rapid heartbeat, recurrent headaches, extreme fatigue, and confusion. While some of these symptoms are par for the course with pregnancy, if you are suffering from morning sickness, talk to your doctor.
For many women, there is little that can be done. For severe nausea, some doctors prescribed Zofran, and anti-nausea drug that is commonly used to treat nausea in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
