A North Iowa judge has lifted a pregnancy ban imposed on a woman convicted for child endangerment.
In 2014, among the probation conditions for Stephanie Fatland’s conviction for shaking her infant son was a prohibition from getting pregnant again, the Mason City Globe Gazette reports.
The 24-year old had plead guilty and was convicted to 5-years in jail and banned from having unsupervised children under 5-years of age.
In May, the appeals court upheld Fatland’s conviction but said Drew’s no-pregnancy order violated her “fundamental right to procreation.”
Judge James Drew on Tuesday lifted the ban.
