The holiday seasons mean that families will be packing up the kids in the car or arranging a suitcase and venturing off to weekend or weeklong visits to grandparents, out-of-town family and friends and winter vacations.
It’s also the time of the year when parents dress up their children to the nines and take professional or DIY portraits to be included in the end-of-the-year Holiday, Christmas or Hannukah cards that are sent out each year.
I recommend you go with one of four traditional colors that are perfect for the season: black, grey, red or white. Avoid the temptation to put wool or some other thick fabric on baby which may cause her to overheat.
Also, by opting for light weight fabrics, you can pretty much mix and match and play around with different looks and can layer. Add or take away depending on the temperature in the room or outdoors.
Further, if you are going to try different poses during a photo session, having options you can play around with is key.
I curated a list of 15 items that you may want to consider (or get inspiration from) as you plan your season. You don’t have to purchase new items either. You can pull out classic pieces out of Jr’s wardrobe or closet. But just in case, here is my list and you can click to each item to be taken to the brand partner’s website or eCommerce site to make a purchase.
