Jessica Alba’s New Year’s Eve Delivery, Son Hayes Alba Warren

Jessica Alba welcomed her third child on New Year’s Eve!

The Spy Kids 4 star announced the news to her fans and followers on social media yesterday!

“Hayes Alba Warren 12/31/17 Best gift to ring in the New Year!!” the Fantastic Four captioned an Instagrram photo of her sweet newborn.  “Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro. ??? #familyof5”

The Honest Company founder has been married to director and Pair of Thieves founder Cash Warren since 2008, and the two are parents to two daughters, Haven Garner and Honor Marie.

The name sort of fits all the complicated parameters Alba  explained to Jimmy Fallon, “It has to be single or double syllable, has to be an ‘H,’ and it also has to be a word. And it can’t be too weird, because, you know… like, a little unusual, but you know, what if they want to be a nurse?”

Hayes is not a noun word, but haze is so, I guess! lol!.

Congratulations to the happy family! Baby boys are fun! I have two of my own!

Also cool because that’s the same day my youngest was born! Capricorns unite! lol!

Jessica Alba Raises Awareness on #LatinaEqualPayDay

Today is #LatinaEqualPay Day and third-time mom-to-be Jessica Alba raised awareness through a t-shirt she wore on Instagram bearing the name of a famous Maya Angelou poem “Phenomenal Woman”

The day marks “the 10 extra months Latinas must work to make the same amount white men earned last year,” the Honest Company founder captioned her photo.

She continued: “The gender pay gap is greatest for Latinas, who get only 54 cents for every $1 a white man makes. This is an injustice. Soy una mujer fenomenal — and I deserve equal pay! We’re not 54% phenomenal. We bring ?% every day & it’s time we make ?%. Link in bio to get this tee to show your support for hard-working Latinas & seven women’s orgs. #FIERCEWomenxEqualPay”

Jessica Alba Doesn’t Plan on Stopping at Having Just Three Kids

Jessica Alba and her hubby Cash Warren are expecting their third child together, but could there be more babies after this one?

Not so fast…

E! News caught up with the actress to chat about The Honest Company’s new Honest Cleaning Collection during which she opened up a bit about about work, family and her pregnancy.

“Last one,” she quipped, laughing when we asked about being pregnant with baby No.3. She’s already a mama to two daughters, Honor, 9, and Haven, 6.

And we don’t blame her! How does someone raise three children, uphold a successful acting career and manage her own company all at the same time?

Well, that’s actually something she explained a bit more in-depth.

“I think it’s the quality of time that you put in at work and how you’re fed at work and what you bring home,” Alba explained. “And also what you let go of when you come home.”

She continued, “A happy work place actually makes for a healthier person and healthier children. If you work five hours a day but you hate your job, your attitude when you come home and what that imposes on your kids outlook and their life and their relationship with them, it actually really affects it. But if you’re happy—even if you come home late and you’re working long hours—if they see that you’re happy and you’re in a good mood and you’re present with them that’s way better than you spending ten hours a day with them in misery.”

This is a topic Alba has taken into consideration when it comes to running her business.

“I try to create as healthy and inspiring and creative of an environment for everyone, whether you’re a chemist, or you’re an [operations] person, or you’re a developer, an engineer… I hope people feel inspired, and I hope they feel like they can be creative, think outside the box, push the envelope.”

Meanwhile, as she gets ready to welcome another baby into the world, we had to pick her brain on how she balances her kids’ healthiness with letting them be every day kids.

“I want them to get into the dirt and play,” she said. “You know it’s important for kids to be exposed to things in the environment. If you put a bubble around them, then their immune systems actually are weaker so it is important for that.”

She continued, laughing, “I think there’s a balance between filth and sharing snot and then letting them get dirty, right? There’s a balance. So washing hands is important in the house.”

As far as healthy eating, Alba says kids will mimic their parents.

“Your kids are just going to really mirror what you do,” she explained. “If you’re sitting there chowing on processed food and fake food all the time, and you don’t have any healthy options and you’re trying to only make then eat differently, they’re going to see that you’re a hypocrite. So I think it’s like walking the walk and not just talking the  talk.”

Jessica Alba Guest Judges ‘Project Runway’ Finale Show

Third-time mom-to-be Actress Jessica Alba was the guest judge for Season 16’s Project Runway finale fashion show, an event that takes place each year to culminate the season and features the designs of the final four-six designers of that cycle of the long-running hit TV fashion design competition.

This year, the Honest Company CEO sat in the front row in an off the shoulder bump hugging ankle length dress while judging the designs. She later walked the finale runway with the show’s permanent judges designer Zac Posen and journalist Nina Garcia with host Heidi Klum.

The presentation took place at The Shows at Gallery 1, Skylight Clarkson Square on September 8, 2017 in New York City. Since only 4 episodes of this season have aired, we are not supposed to know which designers made it to the finale to show their designs at NYFW but if you’re a loyal watcher of The Lifetime Channel program, you may have guessed the designer form their style aesthetic already revealed on episodes aired so far.

This year, is the first time the show has used models of all size. After introducing the designs, Klum exclaimed to the audience about being inclusive that “Fashion is for everyone!”

Nice.

Jessica Alba Hosted East Hampton Launch and Charity Event

Third-time mom-to-be Jessica Alba hosted an event last Saturday, August 5 with her company, The Honest Company as part of a collaboration and new partnership with her stylist team at the Great and the diaper and newborn essentials collection for impoverished women charity  Baby2Baby.

At the East Hampton event, stylists and designers Emily Current and Merritt Elliott celebrated the launch of their upcoming limited-edition diaper collection for The Honest Company under a fun and quirky  decorated Sperry tent.

Our other Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums Molly Sims and Rachel Zoe were there as well.

“Em, Mer, and I have been working together for a while,”  Alba explained to Vogue magazine. “They have been my stylists for a few years now. They [also] do a collection for Pottery Barn, they started a brand called Current Elliott, and then a second brand they started is called The Great. We did a lot of sharing about being women entrepreneurs and having young families. We all have kiddos, and we talked about how do you try and do it all. Often, we feel like we’re compromising something, and we can’t do it all. We talked about how powerful would it be to collaborate and do something really cool and give back. [Our friend] Kelly Sawyer runs Baby2Baby, which is now a national diaper bank program that gives back the basic essentials to families in need, things that we really take for granted—everything from diapers and wipes to lotions to backpacks and shoes. Things that we probably don’t think twice about, but there are millions of families in this country that literally have to choose between food or diapers or they reuse dirty diapers throughout the day.”

Fun times!

Also, her two daughters Haven Garner and Honor Marie were in attendance  at the event which raised money for the no profit on which Zoe, Sims and Alba are board members.

Expecting Jessica Alba and Family Vacay in Hawaii

I forget that Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren are expecting their third child but was reminded by PEOPLE which re-shared a recent Instagram  and Facebook photo the actress and businesswoman shared of a recent Hawaii family vacation.

“We had an epic family vacay,” she captioned a shot of herself with a group of family and friends including daughters Haven Garner and Honor Marie. “Thank you to everyone at the Four Seasons for treating us like family.”

Oh and also there are the updates from TMZ which has been stalking the family and took stealth pics of her baby bump while she sunbathed on the beach. Oh TMZ!

Nice! Congrats to the growing family.

How this Husband & Wife App Development Team will Help Jessica Alba’s Honest Co’s IPO

wong and casey IPO alt12 and Honest com alba

The Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba‘s holistic and organic baby products company, The Honest Company is set for its IPO (initial public offering) soon, speculators say. A husband and wife-founded pregnancy and parenting apps company will be integral to Honest’s IPO launch and future growth.

Here’s the backstory.

Back in 2009, a then pregnant Jennifer Wong and her husband Casey Sackett realized there was a void in available apps for expectant mothers. The duo created BabyBump, a pregnancy and social network app for expectant mothers.  The couple eventually expanded the portfolio to include PinkPad, a menstrual and fertility tracker. and  Kidfolo, a parenting social network.  BabyBump reached 8 million downloads in 2013. The combined apps are run under the couple’s StartUp called  alt12 and today boast 4.5 million downloads across the entire portfolio of apps. After growing such tremendous database of users, Aydin Senkut‘s Felicis Ventures got participation from InterWest Partners and Ron Gutman, an investor form HealthTap to help alt12 raise $1.26 million in seed funding.

Last year, Alba’s Honest company quietly acquired alt12. After the acquisition, PinkPad which used to cost $1.99-$2.99 and a paid $3.99 version of BabyBump all became FREE.  The married couple now run mobile at Honest Co and as of January 2015, Wong is Head of Mobile Apps there and Sackett is Head of Mobile Apps Engineering.

As the sleuths at MobileHealthNews.com hypothesize, Honest co will be looking to exploit what alt12 brought to the table: its Sliprose technology platform.  That technology marries social networking with social commerce, tracking and analytics: “Native mobile storefront with personalized recommendations based on deep life stage and peer-to-peer engagement.”

So in other words, similar to how UnderArmour purchased MyFitnessTracker and Endomondo to sell their apparel to the download users, Honest Co too will be looking to push its products to the BabyBump, PinkPad and Kidfolo users.

Genius!!!  Can’t wait to see all this come into fruition as there are valuable lessons to be learned from this all for appreneaurs and other startup founders in the Health app market.
