The Good Place‘s Kristen Bell was on The Real daytime panel show this week and we love what she said about the importance of treating anxiety and depression with any other disease or condition that has less stigma.
While visiting the ladies which include our bumpwatch alum Tamera Mowry-Housley and our other alum as a guest panelist, Melanie Brown, Bell shared her feelings about feeling inadequate about being a parent.
Actually, the Veronica Mars alum speaks often about destimatizing mental health problems by sharing her own experiences.
“I talk to someone and we have a check in once a year,” Bell opened up. “I take a pill if I need to. I make sure to exercise. I basically know my issue.”
Perhaps to counter the shame that is associated with seeing a therapist and taking psychosomatic drugs, Bell said, “It’s like for me, knowing if you have Diabetes. You wouldn’t deny a diabetic medicine.”
She also expressed what I think is beautiful about her union with hubby Dax Shepard who is a super supportive husband.
“If I have spent four days on the couch, my husband goes, ‘hey you want to go for a hike or do you want to go out with your girlfriend?,'” Bell shared, before adding, “You have to stay aware and take care of yourself.”
Veronica Mars’Kristen Bell and her husband Parenthood‘s Dax Shepard are super adorable in the new Samsung commercial about the Holidays. The long spot features Bell’s baby bump prominently as the couple are expecting their second child shortly. They welcomed daughter Lincoln last March 2013.
In the commercial, Shepard makes runs to get foods to satisfy Bell’s cravings, and seemingly seems unhelpful in helping her pick the choice of cute maternity looks. Bell summed it up in her tweet presenting the commercial calling it what life is like in the Bell/Shepard household, the Daily Mail noted. Funny!
Second time mom-to-be Kristen Bell reports that since she launched her “No Kids” Policy earlier this year, she has been having a paparazzi-free pregnancy this round.
Bell and her husband Parenthood‘s Dax Shepard got their celebrity friends involved to agree to not do interviews with tabloid and news outlets that publish photos of celebrity children taken without permission. It worked as several outlets stopped publishing the images.
“The response has been so overwhelming that it’s really almost a moral stance that the consumer demanded their publications take,” Bell told the Associated Press in an interview. “We’re all consuming healthier media now.”
And the effect has tricked down to other celebrities who also report not being photographed as much when they are out with their children.
“I feel a lot safer because I’m not followed at all now,” Bell said. “It makes me feel like we all rallied and did something — the good people that were on the side of responsible parenting and passionate about child welfare spoke up and made a difference, and that is a really invigorating feeling.”

Zoe Saldana looked super cute in a print collared dress while on the red carpet to the premiere of Cantiflas on August 27th. She’s reportedly carrying twins yet is managing to steer clear of the usual maternity wear
Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani told talk show host Seth Meyers during an appearance this week that her son Kingston prayed for her to get pregnant again after she had already told him tha tthe family is “complete”.
“I brought out a cake after we found out it was really going to happen and it said, ‘We’re having a baby!’ I made him read it … and he goes, ‘Ahh! I prayed for that!’” (People)

Current Bellyitch Bumpwatch mama Kristen Bell and recent alum Kerry Washington met up this week at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association‘s Grants Banquet, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.
Washington was in a strapless paisley patterned silk Mary Katrantzou resort 2015 dress and blue pumps.
Bell, who is expecting her second child with her actor husband Dax Shepard, looked radiant in a bump-hugging midnight blue Andre GN sequinned dress with Rupert Sanderson heels and Antonini jewels. The Veronica Marsactress is mom to 15-month old Lincoln.
Washington looked to be down to her pre-baby size already after giving birth to her first child, a daughter, with hubby NFL‘s Nnamdi Asomugha in April.
Of the encounter, Bell tweeted compliments to Kerry:
Second time mom-to-be Veronica Mars actress Kristen Bell stunned in a 2015 navy and beige Monique Lhuiller color block sateen sheath dress with nude pumps and a jeweled Edie Parker ‘Jean’ black and nude pearl stripe box clutch while attending the Harvey Weinstein Company and Lexus presents “Life is Amazing” short film festival at the Regal Cinema at LA LIVE! on Wednesday, July 30 in Los Angeles, California.
Bell confirmed that she and finance actor Dax Shepard are expecting their second child. The couple are parents to one year old, Lincoln Bell, born last March 2013.
She looked amaze balls, while concealing a growing baby bump in that uber cute dress.
So far 2014 has been
quite the year for actress Kristen Bell, and we’re only three months in! In
addition to starring in her passion project, the newly released Veronica
Marsfilm, she’s also become the face of an ever growing movement to
protect celebrity children from paparazzi. Oh, and she was also a voice actor
in this one movie you may have heard of last year, it’s called Frozen?
Since the birth of her
daughter, Lincoln, in March of 2013, she hasn’t slowed down in the slightest.
That same month she teamed up with writer Rob Thomas to help turn their former
television series Veronica Marsinto a film. The two of them were caught in negotiations with
Warner Brothers —who owned the rights to the franchise but didn’t want to put
up cash to make the film— when they decided to start a Kickstarter campaign in order to raise the funds instead. They were
the first group ever to launch a crowdfunding campaign for a film that was
already owned by a major studio, a risk that turned out to be worth taking
considering the campaign managed to raise more than its goal of $2 million in
the first day alone.
Kristen Bell has become
one of the most active and well liked celebrities on social media as well. In
fact, according to social media analysis tools Topsyand ViralHeat, at least 80% of the tweets mentioning the celeb have only positive
things to say. Kristen used this strong media presence while trying to raise
the funds for Veronica Mars, and is now redirecting that power
toward another cause close to her heart – that one of her child, and the
children of other celebrities.
Along with her husband,
Dax Shepard, and other celebrities (including Halle Berry and Jennifer Garner, who helped pass legislation in California protecting the children of celebrities last
year) she’s launched a campaign against the “pedorazzi”, as she calls them. Her
and Shepard argue that while they chose the become famous, their children did
not, and while being photographed by the paparazzi comes with the territory of
what the parents do, their children didn’t ask for it and don’t deserve it.
She’s a Mama Bear on a mission and it appears that nothing will stop her.
outlets publicly agreed cuz i think people should be able to know if the media
they consume is safe&healthy for kids everywhere

Her “No Kids Policy,”
which targets media outlets who publish paparazzi photographs of celebrity
children, has been wildly successful since its launch earlier this year. Major
media outlets such as People, Us Weekly, Buzzfeed.com, Entertainment
Tonight, and many other notable current events, news, and entertainment
outlets have all interviewed the star about her cause. She’s also been on a
media blitz, making live appearances to spread her message. She even appeared
alongside her husband on Access Hollywoodto debate a few real-life
paparazzi regarding the issue.
As for her acting work,
she’s currently starring in the critically acclaimedHouse of Lieson Showtime and reprised
her cameo role as the vapid and catty Ingrid de Forest on NBC’s Parks and
Recreationearlier this year.

She’s also rumored to have a role in the recently greenlighted, online spin-off
of Veronica Mars for The CW’s website. If the rest of the year is going
to be like the first few months of it has been for her, 2014 is going to be one
heck of a year for Kristen Bell.

Last year, Jennifer Garner and Halle Berrytook on the paparazzi and successfully lobbied and got a law passed that put harsher restrictions on photographers who take pics of celebrity children.
Since then, actress Kristen Bell and hubby Dax Shepard have joined the fight and are using social media and the hashtag #pedorazzi to encourage the news magazines and media outlets that purchase paparazzi photos to stop doing that. The two went onTODAYrecently.
