See How Big Beyonce’s 18-Month Old Twins Are Now in Recent Snaps

Want to see how big Beyonce‘s 18-month old twins Rumi and Sir are now?

The “Apesh*t” performer and her hubby Shaw “Jay Z” Carter with their eldest daughter Blue Ivy and other family members headed out to Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York on Christmas Eve to admire, snap and celebrate a new park bench dedicated to Jay’s grandmother, Hattie White

The celebration was a private affair as they were not ornately dressed and did not invite the press or anyone else to tag along. Nonetheless, news leaked and paparazzi caught lots of pics that can be seen over at the Daily Mail!

Bey was outfitted in a large white floor length parka with her long waist length braids parted down the middle and she wore no make up, it appears.

Blue had on an army green parka and jeans with the twins outfitted in coordinated pants, Timberland boots and parkas.

The guest of honor, Ms. White, was photographed with her hand over her heart looking in awe and amazement and later with her twin great grandkids on the bench. Her grandson, “444” producer was also casually dressed for the occasion that took place a day before the family boarded a private jet back to Los Angeles for Christmas!

The family has had an incredible year that included their tremendously successful “On the Run II” Tour, Bey’s Coachella performances and a hit joint album that garnered lots of Grammy nominations and critical acclaim! The year culminated fantastically during a show stopping performance in South Africa at the Global Citizens Festival!

Bravo TV Andy Cohen and the New Single Dad Parenthood via Surrogacy Trend

Only 3 percent of single men in America, like actor Hill Harper, adopt children, yet there is apparently a growing trend of single men turning to surrogacy, according to recent reports.

Bravo TV‘s Andy Cohen is about to join this community that includes 3-times surrogate dad soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, when his surrogate gives birth in a few weeks!

The TV host and network founder announced on the December 20 edition of his nightly talk show Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that he is going to be a father.

“In about six weeks time, I’m going to become a father thanks to a wonderful surrogate who is carrying my future,” the soon-to-be single dad announced at the end of he show’s season.

In a blog post on the network’s Daily Dish Blog, an expert explains the trend:

“There are many reasons why some men don’t start a family in their 20s or 30s. But it’s not too late to have a child, even if you don’t have a wife or a female partner? Single men who want to have a biological child of their own, both gay and straight, are starting to turn to IVF and surrogacy,” reports WINfertility, an organization which assists men in becoming single fathers.

“It’s not a simple process — basically, a single man who wants to be a dad needs an egg donor, a gestational surrogate to carry the child, and IVF to make fertilization of the egg and transfer of the embryo possible. There are hormones to take, sperm to donate, tests to undergo, egg testing to be done, contracts to be signed. It can be a years-long process. Which means that if you do it, you really want it.”

But according to Gayle East, owner and director of Surrogate Solutions in Hewitt, Texas, single man surrogacy is becoming more prevalent!

The type of guy who will be willing to undertake such a life-altering move are professionals who are financially stable and ready to settle down but they haven’t found a partner yet.

“They’re single guys who’ve been working in a career, saving money and becoming more financially secure. It’s very doable for them,” says East. “In the past, there was the stereotype of moms raising a family, but they’re seeing same-sex couples with families. And now, watching other guys go through this process will probably give more single guys the courage to do this.”

Congrats to Andy and all the new dads! Blessings abound!!!

Top Entertainment Stories of 2018

It seems like 2018 was the year of big moments in entertainment.  From box office hits to celebrity engagements, this was definitely a year of highs -and some lows- for the entertainment industry.  Here are a few of the biggest headlines we saw in 2018.

The Royal Wedding

One of the biggest stories of 2018 was the royal union of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.  The British prince and the American actress tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel on May 19th, with an estimated 1.9 billion viewers tuning in around the world.  You would think with that many people watching the couple would be nervous, but Megan and Harry looked happy, poised and gracious when entering and exiting the ceremony.

The star-studded guest list was another reason so many people tuned in to watch the nuptials, with notable figures such as David and Victoria Beckham, James Corden, and even Sir Elton John turning out to the event.  A few months after the wedding came an exciting announcement- the couple is expecting their first child!

Kylie’s Surprise Baby Announcement

One of the most surprising stories in celebrity news this year was the birth of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s first daughter, Stormi.  Up until Stormi’s birth on February 1st, Kyle never confirmed that she was pregnant in the first place!

The announcement came in the form of a video posted to Kylie’s social media accounts on Superbowl Sunday, effectively overshadowing the big game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots.  Upon hearing the news, fans of both the reality TV star and the rapper took to social media to congratulate the happy couple, and the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan expressed their joy as well.

California Wildfires

Not every piece of news this year was positive.  In late 2018, wildfires began wreaking havoc up and down the state of California.  In addition to civilians, many celebrities were affected by the devastating fires, including Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler and Neil Young, who lost their homes in the Southern California fire.

Many celebrities came out to show their support during these hard times, and Gerard Butler hosted a star-studded fundraising event with a guest list including Sean Penn, Robin Thicke, Cindy Crawford, and many more famous faces.  Although the California wildfires devastatingly destroyed thousands of homes, many communities have already started to rebuild, thanks to generous donations from civilians and celebrities alike.

A Bachelor Engagement

If you were one of the 7.8 million people who tuned into the Bachelor season 22 finale on March 5th, you know that Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to Becca K…. and then dumped her on live TV to be with Lauren B.  While the plot twist certainly made for good TV, viewers were outraged at the heartlessness of Arie’s on-screen breakup.

However, being publicly dumped ended up working in Becca’s favor, as she was announced the new Bachelorette on After the Final Rose.  Since then, Arie and Lauren have announced that they plan to get married in January 2019 and are actually expecting a baby in June! As for Becca, the Minnesota native is happily engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen, whom she met on The Bachelorette!

With how wild 2018 has been, 2019 is expected to be just as big for the entertainment industry.

New movies, music from top 40 singers, and even some pregnancy announcements are sure to take the media by storm in 2019, so be sure to look out for what’s to come!

Cardi B Breastfeeds A Baby in New Controversial Video

In her newly released music video for her latest hit single, “Money“, rapper Cardi B promotes breastfeeding by featuring shots of herself nursing an infant. Well more likely it is a doll and not her 6-month old daughter Kulture with estranged hubby Offset.

The shots in the video that was dropped on Friday, December 21 of her holding a baby to her breast dressed in high fashion couture amidst is set among  abundant glorious conspicuous consumption and female body glorification!

https://twitter.com/cardibthe_queen/status/1076206874243055622

The video is visually stimulating and the ornate costuming and setting inside a bank and I think a museum is bold but nothing you wouldn’t expect from a woman on top of her game and with a very generous music video budget.

She pays homage to photographer Thierry Mugler’s 1999 Playboy shoot, and Lil Kim while pole dancing and playing the piano naked.

People on Twitter noted it is reminiscent of Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” and Beyonce’s “Partition” videos.

It is definitely got people with talking with half of the people I saw on Twitter saying she is personifying feminism, empowering sex workers via all the images of strippers, while normalizing breastfeeding and the message that a woman can be a mom, career woman and have it all.

Others are saying the breastfeeding images juxtaposed with so much “T &A” sets back the movement to normalize breastfeeding through declaring that the female breasts are not sexual objects but objects for nourishing a child.

Either way, the video is quite an exhibition. WATCH!

US Olympic Track Star Allyson Felix Is Married and Just Had a Baby

Allyson Felix, the most decorated U.S. Olympics woman track and field star with nine Olympic medals, secretly married and had a baby last month.

She revealed the news in a feature published Thursday at ESPNW, where she also explained, like the scrutiny and judgment Serena Williams felt, she felt pressured to put off starting a family so not to jeopardize her athletic career.

She married long time boyfriend and fellow Olympic sprinter husband Kenneth Ferguson, got pregnant  and at just nine weeks along, competed in a race and again at 4 months but both times, she ran noticeably slower.

She said in the piece:

“When I ran back-to-back slow times this June, people started to wonder why.

My coach talked to me about shutting it down for the season. My brother wanted to make sure I wasn’t hurt.

It was time to tell them what was really going on.

I was pregnant.”

The baby, a little girl she and hubby named Camryn Grace Ferguson, came early at 32 weeks  via emergency Caesarean section and is still in the NICU.

https://twitter.com/spikesmag/status/1075766875710054403

Felix shared some of her birth story and anxiety over motherhood in her Twitter account  including her reaction to being told by doctors at her 32-week check up that they didn’t like the baby’s heart rate and to go to the hospital.

https://twitter.com/TeamUSA/status/1076247620945920002

She was just about to go do a photo shoot that would result in the pictures she would use for making her big public announcement about the pregnancy and thought it could wait. She explained:

I’m an athlete. I know how to take care of myself. I know how to eat right and get enough rest. And I’d been doing everything right throughout the whole pregnancy.

When I got to the hospital, I knew pretty quickly that something was very wrong.

Per Yahoo!

Felix had high blood pressure and the baby’s heart rate decelerated, forcing an emergency C-section on Nov. 28. Camryn was born 3 pounds, 7 ounces and 16 inches. She was immediately taken to the NICU, where she still is being cared for three weeks later.

Felix said her daughter is doing well and will be OK.

She is telling her story now to be open and transparent over the fact that famous people, including athletes have the same struggles as most women.

“Pregnancy in sports shouldn’t feel risky,” she tweeted. “[B ]ut the reality is that it is. It’s scary to tell an employer you are starting a family & not know if you will be supported.

[I] know a lot of women can relate no matter what field you are in. i want better for my own daughter.”

In the ESPNW article, she said: “I hoped my experiences could help other women who were worried of what starting a family would mean to their careers. To let them know that I too have those anxious feelings.”

No, Expecting Meghan Markle Did Not Revive Her Instagram Page

Meghan Markle did not revive her Instagram account from her days as a blogger and star of Suits as believed when the page went live this week.

It was probably a glitch, Royal reporter Omid Scobie hypothesizes.

Although it would be not against Royal protocol to keep up a social media page, the Duchess of Sussex decided to focus on her new life as a Brit Royal after marrying Prince Harry.

Her former followers on that account and fans of the ex actress were excited.

For now, they will have to rely on the news about her released by Kensington Palace like these recent photos of her visiting The Royal Variety Charity’s residential nursing and care home, the Brinsworth House.

What Gabrielle Union and Kenya Moore Daly Are Being ‘Mommy Shamed’ About Now

Celebrities get “Mommy Shamed” for every. little. thing. they. do! It comes with the territory of having millions of followers, being socially influential and having humans with all sorts of opinions following your every move!

Recently, brand new first-time moms to baby girls, Gabrielle Union and Kenya Moore Daly were warned about kissing their own newborns! Yup!

(There and Pro and Cons schools of thought on this issue)

(Also previously shamed for kissing a child on the lips in in social media: Amber Rose, Kourtney Kardashian, Dads David Beckham and Union’s husband Dwayne Wade, Olivia Wilde and Hillary Duff)

Union shared a video which got all the heat but she chose to reply to them, writing, in a subsequent post including a video of her daughter Kaavia James being examined by the doctor who gave a clean bill of health:

Cant stop, won’t stop. ???@kaaviajames ?❤????

Here’s a guide for happily enjoying my posts of our family. Trust that she is surrounded by medical and child care specialists. Know she is safe and watched closely at all times. Trust that I won’t post anything that puts my child in danger or opens me up to unsolicited online medical or parenting opinions ? @kaaviajames is loved. She will be kissed. She will be loved on by the people that love her. She will be safe. If and when I have questions (as a new mom I have tons) I will not hesitate to ask my online community for help and suggestions. But yall have never known me to hold my tongue so trust that I will ask for help. Sometimes publicly and sometimes privately. Its OK that every parent does things differently to suit their child’s needs. Every solution that works or worked for you may or may not work for me or my family or other folks. And that’s absolutely OK. If someone does things differently or does not take your advise or that advise doesnt pan out the way it did for you, that is NO indication that you are wrong or a bad parent. We all figure out what works for us, our children and our families. We dont all have to match. It’s ok to break from the norm and do what’s healthiest and safest for your child. No one is in your house or your family but YOU. We dont all need to be clones of each other to be doing OK. The goal is for us all to have happy healthy families and that journey looks different for every family. Let’s embrace that. Let’s get comfortable with that. Someone doing something different than us does not make us bad people or bad parents. Breathe and enjoy. There will be no mommy shaming on this page. I rebuke mommy shaming. For those STILLLLL clinging onto your fears about Kaav’s breathing and or whether my sweet kisses harmed my kid…feel free to swipe.

Moore just ignore them and let her fans clap back over criticism of her kissing her infant, Brooklyn Doris.

Sheesh!

NYT Revisited Octomom Ten Years Later

The 8 kids produced by Natalie Suleman, otherwise known as “Octomom”, turn 10-years old this year.

Ten years ago, a Beverly Hills doctor who shared Suleman’s Iranian descent,

Dr. Michael Kamrava,  implanted 12 embryos  reportedly fertilized by one anonymous donor. The procedure was then and is now considered unethical by modern practitioners. Eight of the 12 survived the birthing process: Noah, Jonah, Josiah, Makai, Nariyah, Maliyah, Jeremiah and Isaiah. (Cute that ll the kids’ names end in “ah”.)

“I was selfish and immature,”  Suleman, now 43, told the New York Times in a new recently-published reflection feature, that isn’t that empathetic to her story.

“I never wanted the attention,” Suleman said, accusing hospital staff of breaching her personal medical records and selling her out to the media: “There were helicopters flying over the hospital while I was giving birth.”

She declared: “I have PTSD from all the reporters coming in over the years. I would take whatever I could back in the days, and I would let them in. I was spiraling down a dark hole. There were no healthy opportunities for Octomom. I was doing what I was told to do and saying what I was told to say. When you’re pretending to be something you’re not, at least for me, you end up falling on your face.”

After getting a ton of surgery to look like Angela Jolie, (a common tabloid accusation she denies), Suleman turned to a short-lived porn career, stripped and got in on the celebrity boxing craze after all the money tabloids paid her ran out.

Though she capitalized off her plight, Suleman insists:  “Octomom was media created. I believe most media is filtered and fake. They created this caricature.”

Today, the daughter of an alcoholic father, who insists she had no clue Dr. Kamrava was implanting so many embryos proclaims she is now free: “Once I finally ran away from all of the pretending, I was able to be me.”

Now she is left to parent the kids outside of the spotlight, including the 6 other children she birthed before the octuplets were born.

It isnt’ easy. Because of the risks to multiples, one of Ms. Suleman’s children is severely autistic, another is on the spectrum, and many are small for their age.

But they are surviving. These days, she claims to make money doing international photo shoots, while working as a counselor though also relying on public assistance.

She tells the Times that though her kids do not get flu shots, they are vaccinated and do not get sick.

Overall, the article is not sympathetic or empathetic to her and sort of categorizes her as scattered, not truthful and untrustworthy.

It is not a good look or good treatment but at least we get a decent “where are they now” peek out of it.

After Losing 14 Embryos During IVF, RHOOC Alum Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are Finally Expecting

After years of trying, hoping and believing, Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are expecting a baby together.

“It’s honestly so surreal still. When you go through a journey like we’ve been through for the last four years together, it’s one of those things where you keep pinching yourself and you keep wondering, is this real?” the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 41, tells PEOPLE.

Southern California Reproductive Center, where we go, they’re allowing us to come in every week and have ultrasounds and I literally still get so excited going in going, ‘Okay, is the baby still there? Is it still there?’ ” she adds. “Because you just get to a point where you for so long have been through so much and so much heartache and so many tears and so wanting this that when it does actually happen, you’re just like, ‘Is this still real?’
