Inside Kim Kardashian-West’s Lavish Baby Welcoming Bash

Kim Kardashian-West hosted a celebration to welcome the impending arrival of her third child via surrogate.

The lavish event, themed “Tea For Three“, was held inside her gorgeous multi-million dolls  Cali home she shares with rapper and designer husband Kanye West.

Dozens of cherry blossom trees lined the room.

Guests included mom Kris Jenner, sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, close friends Chrissy Teigen, Maria Menounos, Khadijah and Malika  Haqq and others.

The reality Tv star and biz mogul gifted guests crystals and perfume from her brand new but widely successful KKW beauty line.

The mom to 4-year old daughter North and almost 2-year old son North served chef-catered mini sandwiches, scones and various salads. Kris made a champagne toast and teared up a bit when talking about how proud she is of her girls and how excited she is to be a grandma once again, E! Online reported.

The baby is due before Christmas, according to Kim.

Based on the color, it looks like the baby is a girl.

There were no shower games and probably just intimate gifts for the baby so it’s probably too presumptuous to call it a baby shower even  .

Sounds like it was a wonderful and blessed event.

No ‘The Internet’ Isn’t Really Mad at Kim Kardashian-West for Dressing As Aaliyah

I just read that a few people on the internet are upset that Kim Kardashian-West dressed for Halloween as late 90s R&B pop singer Aaliyah in her “Try Again” music video. The two prevailing criticism are: Kim is culturally appropriating because Aaliyah was African American and others say she shouldn’t impersonate a dead person; and Kim shouldn’t impersonate a recently deceased pop icon.

I ball BS on both!

First, Halloween is all about dressing up and wearing costumes. I think by now, most people know not to wear a culture as a costume or risk offending members from said culture. In my book, this prohibition applies to anyone dressing from anyone from the following cultural heritage while not having said heritage him/herself: Native Americans, Aboriginal and Indigenous people from other parts of the world other than America, Mexicans, Africans, and Asians.

It is obvious that anyone and everyone from any race all over the world are free to dress as anyone form European ancestry with expectation of offending many people.  Ergo Scottish bagpipers, German Beer Maids, Irish Farmers, French Maids or French Mimes are okay.

It seems hypocritical, yes, but I think the reason it isn’t the same is because people and leaders from these regions of the world, Europe and Australia,  have managed to travel far and wide proclaiming dominion over others and spreading their culture, beauty ideals, religions and traditions globally via Imperialism and Colonialism. And they’ve done so so thoroughly that the effects are long lasting and engrained that they sort of already belong to all of us.

It may not make sense but that’s just the way it is.

My daughter, who is black like me, dressed as Joan of Arc, a white French woman, for Halloween and I doubt anyone will be accusing her of cultural appropriation.

Now back to Kim.  The Keeping Up with The Kardahsians star and KKW Beauty purveyor  did not paint her skin or wear make up to appear darker which a lot of foolish people who actually were guilty of cultural appropriation have done in the past not realizing or perhaps aloof to the historical significance of White people painting their skin of someone from another race.

Kim wore her own skin and we have long applauded those who have dressed as people from other races through clothing while skipping the skin-darkening or yellowing, in terms of Asian-themed costumes.

Second, re: that criticism hat she was impersonating someone who has passed away. Um…every year, there are thousands of people who go as dead folks like Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Marilyn Monroe (which she did dress as while her sister Kourtney Kardashian dressed as a very dead Sonny Bono), Prince, Michael Jackson.

Someone else said well the dead person is more recently dead. Last time I checked, Prince and Michael Jackson died after Aaliyah.

Finally, I think it’s not really a big deal among most people on the internet— just a few opinionated people whose tweets got picked up by national news organizations and couched into an article.

This is SJW (social justice warriorism) at its best.  Faux outrage like this one dilutes instances of true cultural appropriation.

Also, I think a few tweets by some angry folks which are the minority of online opinions doesn’t equal “the Internet”. I  have seen so many articles declaring why the Internet is mad at Kim. Puhlease.

It really is not that deep but it does may a great headline and clickable piece so, I dig it. (ha!)

Kim Kardashian-West’s Musical Icons Halloween Costumes Are Giving Us Life

This year, Kim Kardashian-West has decided to channel all of her fave musical icons for Halloween.

So far, she and bestie Jonathan Cheban dressed as Sonny and Cher for the Tequila Casamigos party last weekend.

Then, for another event, she and sister Kourtney Kardashian dressed as Michael Jackson and Madonna attending the 2001 Academy Awards together.

Finally, the business mogul and reality TV star of Keeping Up The Kardashians was seen on her Snapchat dressed as the late 90’s R&B pop princess Aaliyah in her “Try Again” music video.

We love them all and are here for it! Can’t wait to see what other icons she will go as for other events leading up to Halloween on Tuesday.

@KimKardashian back at it again! Did she do 90’s R&B Princess #Aaliyah justice? #Halloween2017 ?

Confused: Kim Kardashian-West Apologizes for Apologizing For Jeffree Star

Kim Kardashian West told her fans to calm down and quit blasting make up Internet star Jeffree Star for saying many racist things in the past; and they are not here for it.

Quick background: Star criticized some elements of West’s makeup line and to clap back at him, social media users and KKW fans rushed to her aid by blasting Starr for saying a lot of vile racists things he has said in his past.

Then when she saw the backlash against her defense of Star, she went back on Snap to apologize for apologizing on his behalf.  Head over to Insider for a full review. It’s even more juicy than the initial saga which you can find below, compliments of a Twitter moments embed!

Can you tell I’m  just so excited to be able to use Twitter’s Moments embed function and have them do all the work for me? Hashtag. Lazy Blogging. ha!

Kim Kardashian West Doesn’t Let Mommy-Shamers Get Away With It (VIDEO)

Kim Kardashian West is no stranger to being mommy-shamed. She gets it all the time, but unlike a lot of celebs who may just let the haters hate, the reality TV star and biz mom uses her media domination to respond to her critics.

In an August 10, 2017-released video, she replies to those who took shots at her for posting a photo of her son Saint West in the back seat of a vehicle in a forward-facing position.

She explains that Saint is actually the weight and height required for an child to be in that position.

“Saint actually weighs more than North” she says. “If that is believable he does, and it is wild.”

As a mom to some heavy babies, I know moms of color maybe would agree because it is often the experience that their kids are in clothes that are for much older babies and boys often are larger and heavier than girls so yeah, we can dig it.

How Much Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are Paying Their Pregnant Surrogate

kardashian-fam

And baby makes 5 (or more) for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who are expecting again via a surrogate, US Weekly reports.

According  to the magazine, a San Diego mom in her late 20s is three months pregnant with the couple’s baby. She is being paid $45,000 for her services at a rate of $4,500 per month (because pregnamcy is 40 weeks and NOT 9 months as is falsely portrayed in the media).

The surrogar was referred to the Wests by an agency that they paid a deposit of $68, 850 to, TMZ reports.

The baby is due in January 2018 and in the event it turns out to be twins, they’ll pay an additional $5,000 each month for the extra baby.

I am a Beyonce fan but even I am turned off by members of the Bey Hive alleging that Kim is trying to be like Beyonce who recently welcomed twins or keep up with her.

Actuall, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star expressed interest in having another baby before Beyonce even announced her second pregnancy, but was told by her doctors to avoid carrying the baby herself given all her medical proble.

They need to give it a rest with the silly comparisons. Yeah, I said it! LOL!

Other stipulations in the contract focus on the surrogate’s wellness habits, US Weekly adds. Among the fairly standard expectant-mom guidelines are no drinking, smoking or drug use; no hot tubs or saunas; no raw fish; and no handling cat litter.

Report: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West To Hire Surrogate for Third Pregnancy

img_7363

According to sources to PEOPLE magazine, Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West are in the market for a surrogate.

The reality TV shows medical roadblock to a third child has been documented on her popular E! reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

She has suffered through preeclampsia and other conditions on her road to give birth to her 4-year-old daughter North and 18-month-old son Saint.

“I’d just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that’s safe,” she once said on the reality show.

Kardashian and West married in 2014.

This would be the third foray into parenthood for both of them. Neither had children before becoming a couple.

Kim Kardashian West Accused of Wearing BlackFace

Kim Kardashian-West cannot catch a break!

Now, our girl is being accused of wearing blackface in promotional images for her upcoming makeup line, KKW Beauty, which is prediceted to sell out within minutes of its  launch this week.

After images of Kardashian West popped up on social media, a few commented on how dark her skin is in the photos and suggested she purposefully darkened the photo to appear more black.

“Black women get told to lighten meanwhile Kim spends her entire career in perpetual Black face and is lauded for her beauty,” US Weekly notes Twitter user wrote. Another added, “I love Kim but that’s def black face in the form of makeup she is no where near that dark.”

The reality TV star and biz mogul blames extra time in the sun for her appearance but nonetheless adjusted it to avoid outcry and backlash.

“I would obviously never want to offend anyone,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told The New York Times in an interview published on Monday, June 19. “I used an amazing photographer and a team of people. I was really tan when we shot the images, and it might be that the contrast was off. But I showed the image to many people, to many in the business. No one brought that to our attention. No one mentioned it.”

Kim Kardashian West Figured Out Which Social Media Is Responsible for Paris Robbery

img_3314

By now, most agree that Kim Kardashian-West’s love of social media and sharing many aspects of her life played a role in robbers being able to track her movements during Paris Fashion Week last year.

The Reality TV star and business mogul was tied up, bound and gagged, and robbed of millions in jewelry in a home she rented while in town.

Following the incident, she took a long hiatus from the public and in recent teasers for the new season of her show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the “Selfie” author revealedwhy she thinks her Snaps were the source of the problem.

Apparently, she had been sharing snaps upon arriving in Paris

“If you wait across the street, you can see the lights on because we’re the first floor. So they must’ve been told we’re the first floor. They definitely were watching. So, I turned the lights off and went upstairs,” she explained. T

“What I think happened now, after thinking about it so much, is that there was probably a group of guys who were following us the entire trip.

“I was Snapchatting that I was home and that everyone was going out.

“I think they knew [bodyguard] Pascal was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself.

“They had to have known we were leaving that day. They had this window of opportunity and just went for it.”

While she was out for awhile, after firing her security team and taking a break and regrouping, she’s back on Snapchat but most likely taking better precautions.

She doesn’t share instant moments any longer it seems.

The social media app allows you to upload images and videos from your camera taken and stored on the phone earlier.

Kim Kardashian West Is Using Lasers Not Plastic Surgery to SnapBack After Baby

kim-kardashian-kanye-west-north-saint-nyc-2016

Kim Kardashian West is using plastic surgery to help return her tummy to pre-pregnancy shape. This Sunday, she posted a snap about getting her stretch marks removed by cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Simon Ourian.

Using a voice-changing filter on Snapchat that gave her cute bunny ears, Kardashian West told her fans that she was leaving the doctor’s office after they “worked on stretch marks.”

“I feel so excited that I finally did it,” she said, “I’ve been so scared to do it thinking it hurts so badly, and it didn’t hurt that badly. So I’m so grateful, and ’m so excited. I love you Dr. Ourian!”

Last week, she revealed that the same doctor worked on tightening the area around her belly button.

“So I’m spending my Saturday with Dr. Ourian and it f—— kills but it will be worth it,” she explained at the time. “We are lasering. You guys, I never thought I could love someone and hate someone so much at the same time.”

“If anyone that’s had babies understand what it’s done to your belly button, then you really understand how much you need Dr. Ourian to tighten around your belly button so it could look back normal,” she added.

And last summer, the biz mogul Snap documented her “skin-tightening” procedure with the Dr. O. The procedure is a less invasive tummy tuck, she shared on Snapchat.

And that led to what cosmetic surgeons are calling the “Dash Effect“, PEOPLE reported recently.

U.K. cosmetic surgery group Transform reports that they have seen a 73 percent increase in inquiries from patients citing Kardashian family members as inspiration.

The trend article calls the plastic surgery craze the “Dash Effect,” and states that after Kylie Jenner admitted to having lip fillers earlier this year, they received a 700 percent rise in inquiries about the procedure overnight.
