BET Awards Weekend: Jennifer Hudson previews new album at press junket

Bellyitch BumpWatch alum Jennifer Hudson looked casual and svelte while interviewing with various radio stations during a Pre- BET Awards press junket today June 27 at the JW Marriott at LA LIVE entertainment complex  in Los Angeles, California.

She previewed songs of her next self-titled album due out September 30 as well and also paused to take photos with various Djs

UK Celeb Katie Price blames pregnancy weight gain for husband’s infidelity

During a recent TV appearance, ex Bellyitch BumpWatch mom & current 5th time mom-to- be UK TV personally Katie Price blames pregnancy weight gain for driving her husband to cheat. 
The former model revealed during a June 20 appearance on Britain’s ITV show Loose Women last week that she gained 4 stones (about 50 lbs) in between giving birth to her son Jett with husband  Kieran Hayler last year and getting pregnant with their 2nd child, a daughter shorty after.

Price tweeted on May 7 about the affair he had with her best friend Jane Poutney which lasted 8 months- apparently during the entire pregnancy. 
Price already has two other sons Harvey and Junior and a daughter named Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre. She also said on the show, she feels pressured to give her next daughter a “crazy” name to match Princess’.

She also said she plans to work out feverishly to shed the baby weight.
Price’s confession on the show speaks to many women’s fears about weight gain during pregnancy where they wrongly blame themselves for their husband’s inability to be faithful while bringing a life into this world they helped create. So unfair and unfortunate.

New mom Lisa Ling gets diagnosed with ADD at age 40; 3 Myths about ADD in Girls

This week, our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum and veteran journalist Lisa Ling revealed that she was recently diagnosed with having Attention Deficit Disorder at age 40. 
While working on an investigative piece for her OWN channel show Our America with Lisa Ling, the former The View  co-host  got tested herself and learned that her focus issues since a child were in fact caused by the condition that went undiagnosed/
Her revelelation provides a unique opportunity for us to share PsychCentral.com‘s listing of common myths associated with ADD, one of them being that girls don’t get it considering that boys are usually diagnosed with ADD and ADHD (Attention Deficity Hyperactive Disorder):
Ling and her husband Dr. Paul Song welcomed a daughter, their first child,  Jett last May.
Myths about girls with ADHD abound. Here are three more myths followed by the facts.
1. Myth: If girls do have ADHD, they only have the inattentive type.
Fact: The inattentive type of ADHD does seem to be more common in girls with ADHD. But, as Matlen said, “they are out there!” “They might instead be considered “tomboys,” as they cartwheel their way to school and climb trees after school,” she said.
Socialization may explain why girls don’t exhibit hyperactivity in the classroom, according to Sarkis. “It is thought that one reason girls exhibit less hyperactivity in class may not have to do with the disorder itself – rather, girls may have been socially conditioned to speak out less in class and be less ‘disruptive,’” she said. Matlen agreed. “Society allows for girls to be passive and quiet,” she said.
It’s also important to note that “[inattentive] girls suffer as much as hyperactive boys who, with their external behaviors, are picked up more quickly by school staff and parents,” she added.
2. Myth: Girls with the inattentive type of ADHD don’t need stimulants.
Fact: Many medical professionals think that stimulants only treat hyperactivity, Matlen said. However, stimulants can help with symptoms of inattention and distractibility, she said. Treating any disorder with medication requires careful consideration. But it’s important for parents and practitioners to know that stimulants can successfully treat these very disruptive symptoms of ADHD.
3. Myth: Girls are less likely to have oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) than boys.
Fact: According to Sarkis, there is actually a 50 percent rate of co-occurrence between ODD and ADHD. And “that rate is the same regardless of gender,” she said. For instance, she cited this study, which found no gender differences for ODD – and no differences for general anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, dysthymia and separation anxiety disorder.
Warning Signs in Girls with ADHD
Because ADHD can manifest differently in girls, Matlen shared several warning signs that a girl might have the disorder.
At school, girls might excessively daydream; have poor grades even though they’re capable of better work; and forget or not finish up assignments, especially projects that have many parts. Hyperactive girls might exhibit “Chatty Cathy” behaviors, such as “non-stop talking and bossiness.”
Girls might also have few friends and be described as “loners.” They might easily tune out and be “spacey,” she said. They might have a messy bedroom and experience more emotional outbursts than kids their age. They’re also more likely to “feel overwhelmed and internalize that into anxiety [and] fears,” Matlen said.
While there’s been much progress in understanding and treating girls with ADHD, there’s still more work to be done. Whether you’re a teacher, parent or mental health professional, getting educated on how ADHD manifests in girls can help you provide truly helpful support.

From Fly girl to World Cup headliner. Our Bellyitch BumpWatch alum Jennifer Lopez brought mad crazy energy to her phenomenal electrifying performance at the 2014 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The mom to twins Max & Emme showed off her hot body while singing the official 2014 World Cup song “We Are One (Ole Ola)” alongside Pitbull and Claudia  Leitte at the opening ceremony yesterday.

Father’s Day: Rebecca Gayheart, Eric Dane support Huggies #HugsDelivered effort (RT!)

Yesterday wasn’t an ordinary day for our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum actress Rebecca Gayheart and her hubby actor Eric Dane.

The two helped out the Los Angeles, California-based charity Baby2Baby haul Huggies diapers delivered by the disposable nappies maker to the organization’s headquarters on June 10.

In honor of Father’s Day this Sunday, for every use of the hashtag #HugsDelivered through Father’s Day, Huggies will donate additional diapers to the group which Nicole Richie and Jessica Alba both serve as board members.
Gayheart and Dane in the past have supported the non-profits efforts to collect cash and product donations that go to help impoverished pregnant and new moms and their babies in the LA area so they can get a good start in parenthood and life.
Other past celebrity supporters and ambassadors/angels include our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums: Sarah Drew, currently preggers Alyssa Milano, Busy Phillips, Ellen Pompeo, Jessica Capeheart, Molly Sims, Selma Blair, Drew Barrymore,  Rachel Zoe, Jaime King, Gwen Stefani and Holly Madison.

Thinking of accident victim SNL’sTracy Morgan who welcomed new baby last July

It was just last July that we were wishing congratulations to SNL alum Tracy Morgan on the birth of his new daughter Maven Sonae Morgan with then fiance Megan Wollover. 





Today, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family, and the family of those who lost their lives and are in critical condition in the hospital as Morgan is tonight.

A tractor trailer careened into the back of the limo bus carrying Morgan, friends and crew from one comedy concert location to a next on the New Jersey Turnpike. Morgan was flown to a nearby hospital where he is being treated.

Morgan is best known for starring as a caricature of himself in 30 Rock the long-running NBC show created by Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum Tina Fey.

CMT Music Awards Red Carpet

Several of our Bellytich Bumpwatch alums looked radiant last night, June 4, at the CMT Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
One of my faves was Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott who finally mixed up her usual black and went with a beautiful and colorful L’Wren Scott dress with Alexander McQueen (homage to designers who committed suicide?). The Brian Atwood heels were a bit clunky but other than that, fab!



Kristen Bell hosted the event and started out the evening on the red carpet in a Fall 2014 Zuhair Murad beaded V-neck evening gown. She later changed into a Monique Lhuiller Fall 2014 embroidered chiffon gown and later the designer’s long sleeved

leather embroidered cocktail dress and two other cute but dark-colored

dress. She looked very nice but could have mixed up the colors ideally.

 
 My fave look was on Jennifer Nettles who wowed in a black sequined embellished Halsotn  top with wide-legged Max Mara pants! Fab when accented with Carrera y Carerra jewels and Neil Lane bracelet.

Melissa Rycroft also looked youthful in her flare mini-dress

Nicole Kidman looked quite youtful in an embroidered Giamattista Valli Spring 2014 couture embroidered mini dress which she altered a bit to add length.
