Coachella: Music Festival Tips & Outfits for Mamas

img_0749-3.jpg

If you are in your first or early second trimester and are thinking of hitting up a music festival this Spring, you can! We got tips?

For what to wear, go with a Screen- T’s with a BoHo skirt or cropped denims, some round aviators, a fringe bag and combat boots and you’re good to go.

If this is your first kid, this may be your last frolic to a music festival carefree in a long time, so you might as well go out with a bang. Have fun, but be safe and stay clear from the front of the stage where it can get rough and tumble.

  • Hydrate and avoid standing in the mist and rain for too long.
  • Carry protein snacks like trail mix and granola bars in your side satchel so you can munch on when the food line is too long.
  • Don’t starve baby and by all means make sure your blood sugar doesn’t dip too low.
  • Carry hand sanitizer and use it often as it can get a bit unsanitary as you know out in a dusty field.

Also, go early so you can get a spot close to the johns and parking, if possible. By now, you know you make a lot more trips to the john than before.

Have fun and be safe!

Names You Give Your Baby if You Want Her to be a Musical Greatness

Posted on April 7, 2016 by Laura Woods

From Dizzy Gillespie’s expertise with the trumpet to Dick Van Dyke’s memorable performance on Mary Poppins, music pervades every corner of our culture.

Using data from MusicBrainz, MooseRoots identified the names that, up to the present, are most common among musicians relative to the general population.

While a name is by no means a predictor of musical success, patterns certainly exist among artists leading up to today.

To do this, MooseRoots analyzed the names of 249,549 male and 65,442 female musicians to find the top names of each gender. After comparing the frequency of the top musician names with the frequency of those names in the general population during 2014, we compiled a list of names more likely to appear among musicians, and ranked the list from lowest to highest frequency relative to the general population.

Note: All values are rounded to the nearest tenth.

Lobster and Champagne Delivery: Inside Britain’s Hospital for Rich and Famous

portland

A new docu- series explores the inside of one of Britain’s most posh hospital for delivering a baby who will be born rich, The Portland Hospital.

BBC Two interviews the women who spend up to £30,000 or $60,000 US to deliver at a hospital that serves lobster and champagne to new moms in the comforts of their private suite. Consider that the average cost to deliver a baby in the UK is just £2800 (or $4,000)

The documentary, “Five Star Babies“,  follows, among others, Lui Hu, a fashion label founder who is married to wealthy shipping tycoon. In the feature, Hu  says she delivered at The Portland Hospital because Victoria Beckham had her babies there. Kate Winslet and Jerry Hall also delivered there.

Hu described Portland as more “like a five-star holiday than giving birth to her first child.”

And the Hospital’s leadership makes no qualms about being considered the hospital for the rich, powerful and famous.

“We have princesses from the middle east who deliver here quite regularly. We have celebrities and individuals of very high net worth and they used to getting what they want.” Portland Hospital CEO Janene Madden told The Mirror. “And if they want 10 additional rooms or 20 additional rooms we will provide it. As long as that woman or husband can pay for what they are requesting we will do our best to provide that.”

Moms-to-be and new moms get private consultants and extra tests and screenings, more than what is available to the average pregnant woman.

“You get to use the nursery, your baby is only brought back for feeding time, so after two or three nights here you leave here feeling really fit and well and ready to face this challenge as a new mum,” Madden added. “It’s how it should be.”

Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump wont Let Their Parents’ Rivalry disrupt their Friendship

ivanka trump and chelsea clinton

Despite the fact that their parents may likely go head-to-head for the US Presidency, moms-to-be Chelsea Clinton, only daughter of former US Secretary of State  Hillary Clinton, and Ivanka Trump, daughter of business man Donald Trump are friends.

Just last November, the two hung out at the  Glamour Women of the Year award and in June, Ivanka shared a Chelsea tweet on her Twitter Account, PEOPLE  reports.

Chelsea has mutual admiration and praised Ivanka during a February Forbes magazine interview.

“She’s always aware of everyone around her and ensuring that everyone is enjoying the moment,” the former First Daughter told the business an finance magazine. “It’s an awareness that in some ways reminds me of my dad, and his ability to increase the joy of the room. There’s nothing skin-deep about Ivanka.”

She added, “And I think that’s a real tribute to her because certainly anyone as gorgeous as she is could have probably gone quite far being skin-deep.”

Chelsea is expecting her second child with husband Marc Mezvinsky and Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner are expecting their third.

We at the Bellyitch staff are also thinking about both ladies but especially Ivanka today given the death threat against her brother and Trump’s family if he doesn’t drop out of the race, as TMZ reported this morning.
