It’s been a busy week with the celeb women we follow and have featured on the blog. Here is a little roundup of some of the latest news:

Kim Kardashian West has suspended all social media activity and filming of her hit television show Keeping Up with the Kardashian since being bound and gagged and locked in a bathroom of her private rental mansion while in Paris for Paris Fashion Week last weekend. Gunmen posing as police got past the concierge and stole $10M in jewelry after asking for “the rapper’s girlfriend” according to recent press reports, referencing her husband Kanye West. The children were in New York City with their dad who left a concert at the New Jersey Meadowlands mid set to rush to be by his wife’s side.

Thinking of Kim Kardashian as we can imagine she is quite shaken up after such a harrowing and frightening experience. (Hollywood Reporter)

Behati Prinsloo‘s bestie South African Supermodel Candice Susan Swanepoel and her fiance fellow model Hermann Nicoli welcomed their first child, a baby boy (E!)

Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine welcome daughter

The world has gained a possible future pop princess.

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo officially became parents after the Victoria’s Secret Angel gave birth to their first child, a daughter, E! News can exclusively confirm. Other details—including the baby’s measurements, name and weight—were not immediately available.

A month after the news broke of their pregnancy, E! Newsexclusively confirmed the 27-year-old Namibian beauty was carrying a girl. “She knows what she’s having and she’s very excited,” a source said at the time.

The next week, E! News’ Sibley Scoles caught up with the dad-to-be to chat about the happy news in person. “It’s awesome. I’m going to be a dad. S–t, I’m excited,” the Voice coach said. “I’m going to be a f–king dad. I’m going to spoil [Behati].”

Needless to say, both future parents were over the moon about expanding their family.

It wasn’t the first time the Maroon 5 frontman discussed his dreams of having a big brood. “Like 17. Is that reasonable?” he jokingly told E!’s Catt Sadler. “I love kids so much, though. I love seeing kids on the set, too.”

While waiting for their daughter to make her grand arrival, the couple readied the nursery—a jungle-themed oasis. Up until the birth, Behati enjoyed a bit of her own paradise at home, spending time at the pool or doing yoga while overlooking the property’s stunning sights. Her husband of two years certainly agreed.

“Epic beauty….And the scenery is nice too…” he captioned a photoof his wife in a yoga pose.

As Prinsloo’s due date approached, Levine canceled several concerts to be by her side.

Cheers to welcoming another “epic beauty” to the Levine family!

Bump Watch: Behati Prinsloo’s Pre-Delivery Silhoutte Shots

A week before baby is due, Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo shared a silhouette baby bump pic via Instagram.

Prinsloo and her husband, Maroon 5 frontman and The Voice coach Adam Levine are expecting their first child together, a baby girl.

Their daughter is due to arrive on Sept. 20.

In the black-and-white pic, Prinsloo can be seen posing to the side revealing her silhouette. She captioned the image with an emoji of a bomb about to go off, probably signaling the “about to explode”.

In the background is a jacuzzi, swimming pool, and a canyon view of her and her husband’s massive 3.66 acre Beverly Hills estate.

This is not her first foray into this imagery gentre.

At 36 weeks preggers, she posted another silhouetted bikini shot but without the sheer sheet. It did reveal a stretched out tattoo and on her stretch mark -less tummy. ?

International Bump Watch, Models Editon: Bar Refaeli & Behati Prinsloo

Namibian model Behati Prinsloo and Israeli model Bar Refaeli gave their millions of followers in social media another glimpse of their growing baby bumps.

Both Victoria Secret models are expecting their first child.

Prinsloo, who is married to hunky Adam Levine, posted a photo on Instagram of her bump in the bath.

She captioned it with the whale emoji. ?

Israeli model Bar Refaeli also posted her baby bump also via Instagram on Sunday. Shown relaxing in a pool she wrote,

“You can come out now…I’m ready. And heavy.”

This will be her first child with husband Adi Ezra.

Neither can they be characterized as heavy or a whale in any shape or form but that is okay. That is what we women do when we are feeling the pressure or weight gain while pregnant.

Throw out self-deprecating humor. It’s human nature. * le sigh *

All the Models are Pregnant This Summer

Models Behati Prinsloo, Bryiana Dyrdek, Bar Refaeli are expecting.

We are having yet another Summer when a bunch of Victoria Secret models are expecting.

This round, Israeli model Bar Refeali, South African model Behati Prinsloo and former Playboy Playmate Bryiana Dyrdek are all pregnant.

We checked in on them recently and yup! They still look like they just swallowed a watermelon while every other part of their body remains “model” like! Ha!

By the way! We never posted about Dyrdek but I really dug the way her husband, professional skateboarder and MTV personality (Ridiculousness) Rob Dyrdek announced their news back in March. They posed in front of balloons, kissing while showing off the ultrasound.

Adam Levine has Officially Popped, Oh and his Wife too!

Somebody has popped but not who you think. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine took to Instagram to do a belly comparison photo with his wife, Victoria Secret model Behati Prinsloo.

Funny!

He also was the one to officially confirm his wife’s pregnancy earlier this year when there was a lot of rumors and speculation swirling about. This will be the first child for both.

I love Adam. Humble brag: I once was a private home of friends getting together and he was in the other room chilling. We (my friends from the Maryland and DC who aren’t used to chilling among celebs) had to play it cool and not embarrass ourselves. It was hard.

I’m excited for them both including Prinsloo because we share a native continent. (smile)

Why This Headline about Adam Levine’s Impending Fatherhood Made Me Smile

So Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine acknowledged his Model wife Behati Prinsloo‘s pregnancy for the first time ever publicly when he tweeted about it recently.

“My two favorite laker fans,” Adam Levine wrote on April 2, along with a few emojis, including a baby, a bottle, and a basketball.

But you know, in all the coverage about this revelation, I smiled with delight at Inquisitor’s headline: “Adam Levine Confirms Wife Behati Prinsloo’s Pregnancy, Will He Quit ‘The Voice’ To Focus on Pregnancy.”

Why?

Because often times, men are not expected to shift their career plans when they have children. Women are. This is true for celebrities and high profile people as well.

When Hillary Clinton‘s daughter Chelsea became pregnant for the first time in 2014, for example, there were a few asinine and sexist stories asking whether she would pursue the presidency or settle down to be a grandmother. No one would consider that for a male politician. It wouldn’t be a big deal to have a grandfather in the White House but God-forbid a grandmother makes a run. Pashaw!

The entire article is about rumors that swirled about before Levine’s tweet but I squealed with delight to see (1) fatherhood being elevated as something that would be a top priority in a man’s life; and (2) an alternative view of the traditional query made upon female parents-to-be.

Aint equality grande?!?
