Look at Saint West Getting So BIG!

saint west

The world got more glimpses of Saint West this weekend when his mom Kim Kardashian shared snaps of the family at the opening of Saint’s grandma Mary Jo‘s new children’s clothing store Shannon & Co in La Jolla, California on Tuesday, July 26.

He is a cutie pie.

Kim also recently revealed that Saint is a daddy’s boy.

“He said Dada today, three times!” Kim told E! News at the MGM Grand nightclub Hakkasan in Las Vegas Friday night. “And I was like, ‘Wait what?’ Kanye was so excited, he was like, ‘I told him to say that.’ And I was like, just I really wanted him to say ‘Mama’ first.”

She later disclosed that their daughter North is a total mama’s girl so they “each have one.” Sweet. [editor’s note: babies babble and da da is easier to say and that is why it is usually a baby’s first word. To form an “m” is hard for babies.]

After the store opening the family headed to dinner at The Marine Room to celebrate MJ Campbell’s birthday.

Also in attendance at the dinner was Saint’s big 3-year old sister North an his auntie Kourtney’s three kids – sons 6-year old Mason, 1-year old Reign and 4-year-old daughter Penelope. Also at the event were the Disick kid’s dad, Scott, and glam ma Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend Corey Gamble.

LAX Style: Only Celebs Look This Good for A Flight

airport style

Yes Celebrity Airport Style is a thing. Regular folks like you and I know that when we travel by air, we need to be comfortable so we may layer t-shirts, wear jeans, yoga or jogging pants, slip on shoes and a sweater or shawl. But if you know that you will be photographed by tons of paparazzi from the curb to the gate, you might as well look fabulous, right?

I mean, there are  even Tumblr blogs dedicated to Celebrity Airport Fashion.  Here are how some our Bellytich Bumpwatch alums dressed pretty chic, sophisticated and heavily over-styled for taking a flight.

#PhilandoCastile and #AltonSterling: Celeb Moms Who’ve Spoken Out About Killings

candles

Tonight, we’ve reached a tipping point in America as several Dallas police officers were killed during a rally to protest recent police shootings. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of those men and women who put their lives at risk daily to protect and serve.

Here is a rundown of what sparked the rally followed by solidarity messages from celeb women we’ve featured on the blog:

Within 48 hours, two black men in “concealed weapon license to carry” states exercising their rights to have guns in their pockets were nonetheless shot and killed by police officers. Both killings, one execution style and the other in front of a 4-year old child during a routine traffic stop, has sparked outrage.

Alton Sterling was selling CDs outside of a grocery store in a high crime neighborhood and exercising his Second Amendment rights as an American, carried a weapon to protect himself. Someone reported to the police that Sterling had it out waving at people and after scuffle with the officers who arrived at the scene and eventually took Sterling down, another took out his revolver and emptied a couple of rounds into Sterling’s body before falling off the man’s chest and shooting a few more shots. The store owner and another eyewitness filmed the shootings on their smartphones and circulated it on social media. The outrage has been swift.

That same night, another man, Philando Castile, was driving with his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds and her 4-year old daughter in the backseat when he was pulled over for a busted tail light. Diamond turned on her Facebook Live and shared the incident as it happened with her followers on the social media site. The world was witness to the moments immediately after one officer shot him as he reached into his pocket to pull out his driver’s license as asked to do so by the officer, per Reynold’s account. The officer can be overheard on the video saying “ignorance”.

As with other past police killings of unarmed black men and boys, many parents have been shaken by the incident especially parents of young black boys. In social media, many have expressed fear that when their children grow up, they will be seen as menacing threats simply for being in the skin they were born in and could be the next hashtag.

I know personally, I’ve talked to my kids again as my husband and I do periodically throughout their lives to make sure they are aware what they need to do to escape a possible police encounter alive. My father in law is a retired veteran police detective and my husband’s uncle was a police officer. We fear for the lives of blue and believe Blue Lives Matter as well, but at the same time, we are frightened by the pattern of brutality among some officers.

Fergie assembles a Sexy Celeb Mom Squad in her new video M.I.L.F.

fergie 1

So what else happened when we were away? Hmmm Oh yeah, Fergie dropped a very hot video called M.I.L.F. after the famous moniker given by a mom one would lust after from the movie American Pie. But in Fergie’s version, the F stands for “follow.”

In the video, set in a  straight out of a scene from The Stepford Wives and reminiscent of a  caricature of a perfect 1950s planned community, Fergie tantilizes a milk delivery man with her overtly sexual and suggestive dance moves and gestures.  There is a milk theme and the video even includes a woman breastfeeding.  And the other great thing is that she has assembled a squad of Sexy Moms.

Which Celeb Kid Threw the Best Shade at Papps?

celebrity shade

Children of celebrity are often stalked by the press, public, media and paparazzi.

Some kids are better able to handle all of the flashing lights than others. We thought it was adorably cute when a video of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s daughter North told papps “I said no pictures” while being pulled along by her nanny to ballet class one morning.

Over the years, we think in their prime, Prince George (Prince William and Duchess Catherine (nee Kate Middleton)’s son); Blue Ivy (Jay Z and Beyonce‘s daughter); and Suri Cruise (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmesb’ daughter) gave THE best Shade at the papps.

Who do you think, based on the pic above, gave the best shade in one photo?!

Alicia Keys Hops on the Celebrity #NoMakeUp Train; Looks Stunning Doing It

no make up celebs

This week, Alicia Keys launched a mini self-empowerment movement to go makeup free. She wrote an essay on Lenny Letter sharing her journey.

“Women are brainwashed into feeling like we have to be skinny, or sexy, or desirable, or perfect,” she wrote. “One of the many things I was tired of was the constant judgment of women. The constant stereotyping through every medium that makes us feel like being a normal size is not normal, and heaven forbid if you’re plus-size. Or the constant message that being sexy means being naked.”

“Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn’t put on makeup: What if someone wanted a picture?? What if they POSTED it??? These were the insecure, superficial, but honest thoughts I was thinking. And all of it, one way or another, was based too much on what other people thought of me.”

Her husband Swizz Beatz joined in the effort and Instagrammed a now widely circulated photo of his wife who looks absolutely stunning without makeup.

alicia_keys_0106_620_401_100

She isn’t the first celebrity to embrace #Nomakeup and shared a selfie on social media to expose their true and real selves sans make up. Cameron Diaz did recently while promoting her new book. Lady Gaga, Gigi Hadid and Cindy Crawford have braved the makeupless route. And as in the photo collage above, Kim Kardashian, Gwynth Paltrow, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Lopez too have gone makeup free in social media.

I’m Going to Defend Blake Lively from Her Haters Today…to a Certain Extent

la face

Oh my Gosh, Becky!! There is a ton of faux outrage on Twitter over Blake Lively captioning a split photo of her front and rear posing in a Cannes Film festival dress, “LA face with an Oakland beauty”.

And by “ton”, I mean a few people and the media picked up on those few and blew it up as if there is a firestorm of criticism. I’d say most of the people upset probably weren’t even old enough to remember when Sir Mix A Lot released, “Baby Got Back.” In any event, the song has become the virtual anthem of big booty glorification. It is now trending and cool to have a large derriere thanks to celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. (Ignore the fact for a moment that they were always celebrated and appreciated in the Black community)

It really is not that deep. And while I was scoping the over-inflated reports of non-existing shade, I noticed people bringing up the fact that the Gossip Girl alum got married to Ryan Reynolds on a plantation.

Big friggin deal! I vacation at a resort that was once a plantation. Guests come from all backgrounds, races and ethnicities. I mean what do people want to happen to all the land that were once cotton fields? Burn them and put up museums of shame? There are buildings currently erect in the south that once  had “For Colored” signs in them.  Are  we to never use them either because they once were part of a sordid history?

The only criticism I thought maybe was warranted was her response to allegations that Woody Allen abused his child. Lively responded to a joke that the master of ceremony, a French comedienne made about Allen. She said she disliked the joke and finds Allen “empowering to women.”

She was also asked to respond to a recent essay by Allen’s son with actress Mia Farrow, Ronan Farrow.  He basically again alleged that Allen abused his sister, and Allen’s daughter, Dylan when she was a child and called out Hollywood for ignoring it (For the record, Allen was cleared of abuse charges).

Lively, who stars in Allen’s latest project Cafe Society gave a cryptic response,

“I came home and went to bed at whatever time we finished,” the actress said. “I haven’t been in it, so I don’t want to speak on something I haven’t read. I think that’s dangerous.”

That response was… um meh.

But then again, he’s her boss (as in he is responsible for her paycheck from his film right now), even if he did marry the daughter his ex adopted when she was just 8-years old. errrr.

Writer Gives Props to Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling for Shunning the ‘Bumpwatch’ Craze

eva-mendes-and-ryan-gosling

Salon writer Nico Lang gives praise to Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling for being super private about their spawning offsprings. He also gives a pretty good run down on the “bumpwatch” and celebrity baby industry which is a multi-million dollar industry. It is not all damning, here is an excerpt:

Call it a win for privacy in the digital age, but even more than that, it’s heartening to see parents opt out of the toxic culture of celebrity baby worship that demands constant updates about famous offspring. Every single one of us should follow their lead.

This is an industry that treats children like corporate mergers, fashion icons, and objects of an almost religious devotion before they can even walk or talk, let alone sign an endorsement deal. When Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony gave birth to twins in 2008, they pulled in what was then a record sum for the first photos of a celebrity couple’s children: $6 million. That total would be eclipsed within months. Knox and Vivienne, the fraternal twins of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, would quickly become household names from the moment they were born. Their debut into the limelight—courtesy of People magazine—netted $15 million. That’s more than most movies make in their opening weekend.

But no financial impact was more massive than the Royal Baby, an infant whose coming was such a media sensation that Prince George’s July 2013 birth was estimated to generate $400 million in revenue for the U.K. economy. For celebrity news websites, the young royal’s birth signaled a boom time after a long drought:According to the New York Times, US Weekly had the biggest traffic day in its website’s history on July 23, the day that new mother Kate Middleton finally vacated the hospital with her “bundle of baby joy.” The same was true for People’s site, which reported a nearly 50 percent boost in traffic on the very same day. The magazine’s print publication on the royal birth was its biggest-selling of the year.

At the time, the editor of the gossip website Hollywood Life, Bonnie Fuller, predicted that Prince George would remain a cash cow for tabloid publishers. “The royal baby will become a regular beat, just like Shiloh and Suri were the babies of six years ago,” Fuller told the New York Times, also referring to Suri Holmes-Cruise, the now 10-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. “The two babies that Hollywood Life audiences are going to be obsessed with are going to be Prince George and Kim Kardashian’s baby, North West.” US Weekly editor Mike Steele called it the “royal baby boom.”

Hillary Clinton’s Got the ‘Celebrity Mom’ Vote for President

presidential candidate

Celebrities are voters to. Zimbio rounded up about 50+ celebrities and took into account their appearances, social media and other indications of their candidate of choice for the US Presidential election. Of their list, I spotted 6 out of our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums. Here is who they’re voting for…

Kim Kardashian shared a selfie with her husband Kanye West and Clinton on Instagram, writing, “I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident.”

Kerry Washington‘s endorsement? It’s handled. Hillary Clinton stopped by the set of Scandal to visit supporter Washington, who shared this snap on Instagram with the caption: “A good friend came by set today. Proud to say… #imwithher.”

Salma Hayek “I have a lot of hope for Hillary,” Salma Hayek said in an interview with Vibe. “We need somebody with experience who can endure. And this woman has endured it all. Hillary is tough.”

Amy Poehler After spending years dressing up as Hillary Clinton on SNL, Amy Poehler appeared in a campaign video supporting the candidate.

Olivia Wilde “I think Hillary is a really exciting candidate for so many reasons but she has a lot to prove to a lot of people. And I think she’s up for that,” Wilde said in an interview with The Daily Beast. “I think she learned a lot from the last election, I think she’s done a tremendous amount of work since then. The fact that she feels the plight of women and girls as the most important issue of the 21st century is a huge reason why I’m supporting her.”

It’s not all about Hil, we spotted a Donald Trump supporter in the bunch

Tila Tequila for Donald Trump -Internet personality Tila Tequila posted a nearly six-minute long YouTube video expressing her support for Donald Trump in the 2016 election

Princess Charlotte Turns One (Look Back When America’s Celeb Princesses Turned One)

princesses

Princess Charlotte turns one today. Kensington Palace commemorated the occasion by releasing three photos of the youngest child and only daughter of Duchess Catherine of Cambridge and Prince William.

Mom, the former Kate Middleton took the shots. They look great. Very sharp. Great job mom!

They also released a photo of her older brother, Prince George, when he was one year old. Just like Charlotte, he too was walking at that age. That is a great feat because some children take a little while longer to walk.

We do not have royalty in America, but we do have some celebrity moms who welcome baby girls and it’s a big deal in the American press.

cruise

On April 18, 2007, Suri Cruise turned one –year old. The only child to actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes celebrated at a party in Shreveport, Louisana where mom Holmes was shooting a movie.  Suri, arguably, was the first celebrity child that was a celeb of her own from birth. She turned 10 this year so it’s been 10 years of obsessing over celeb kids! whoa!

harber and victoria

In July 10, 2012, Harper Seven Beckham, the only daughter and youngest child to Victoria Beckham and David Beckham, turned one. It was a big deal because her mom is a designer and we just knew they she was excited to dress her up. The couple had three boys when she was born, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

bey and blue

When Blue Ivy turned 1 on January 7, 2013 her parents Beyonce Knowles Carter and dad Shawn “Jay-Z “Carter threw her a lavish princess party in New York city that included a $2,400 cake and an $80,000 diamond-encrusted Barbie doll, the Sun reported.

kim and north

Not to be outdone, later that year, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West threw their daughter North West a Kidchella-themed one-year old birthday party that included a ferris-wheel and everything when she turned one on June 15, 2013.
