Cory and Tia got engaged in 2006, married two years later and welcomed son Cree in 2011, before her sister Tamera had her first child, and was still a newly wed.

We know Tamera gave birth to children, 4-year old Aden John Tanner and 2-year old Ariah Talea, with husband, FOX News Correspondent Adam Housley while Tia, presumably was trying to expand her family as well.

As far back as 2013, Tia has expressed interest in having a second baby. “It’s something that we’re talking about on a daily basis, so…we’ll see!” she told E! News at the time.

It’s been a long time coming and perhaps she will share some of her journey later with the public… or not! We’re not entitled to know. (smile)

Congrats! We are so thrilled and happy for this news! Both are our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alums.

Tia Mowry says People Asking Her if She’s Pregnant are ‘Body-Shaming’

tiamowry-header

Well here is another case of “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”

Back in 2013, when Tia Mowry Hardrict  lost a ton  of weight after having her first child and became vegan, her fans all complained that she was too thin. Some begged her to gain more weight.

Now that the Instant Mom actress has put on a few pounds while shooting episodes of her Cooking Channel show, she’s getting trolled again.

This time, many are suggesting that perhaps the Rosewood star is pregnant.

The constant comments caused The Game alum to address the insinuations recently on an appearance on HuffPostLive

“I just looked at my Instagram […] and someone was insinuating that I’m pregnant again,” she said. “Guys, I’m not pregnant, I am just happy, and I’ve gained these extra 10, 15 lbs. because of my cooking show!”

The Tia Mowry at Home cooking show host added that she’ll drop the weight when she’s ready but until then, leave her be.

“I’m just enjoying life, and when I want to drop the pounds I will, but right now I’m happy with who I am,” she said.

She called the comments a form of body shaming.

“It’s pretty unfortunate,” she told the site. “We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect. Why can’t we just be us? Someone even wrote on my Instagram today, ‘Looks like you’ve picked up a little weight. I hope you lose it. I want you to lose it.’ It’s like, really? Why would you say that? Why do you feel the need to say that?”

Excellent point. The former star of the nowdefunct Style channel reality TV show Tia and Tamera also called for more body acceptance generally.

“We need to be more supportive with body images, especially women, showing that all sizes are beautiful,” she said. “I’m talking about in magazines, advertisements, in regards to what’s sexy and not sexy. We all need to be a little more supportive of each other.”

Another Bellyitch alum who loves to cook, P!nk, also had to shut down haters in April when people in social media going on and on about her post-tour weight gain.

“Here’s the issue: I don’t change my eating when I get home,” she told  US Magazine. “So everyone always asks me, ‘What are you going to do after?’ And I say, ‘Get really fat and happy.'”

She set them straight on Instagram  and Twitter.

“I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern,” Pink tweeted to fat-shamers in April 2015 after she got slammed for looking curvy at an event. She signed her note, “Love, cheesecake.”

Bravo! We agree!

Tia Mowry gets Braids and Introducing JJ Braids

Woot! Look who got some hot and bold godess box braids!!! Tia Mowry!

One half of our fave twin moms and Bellyitch Blog alums is adding some edge and twist to her look with this brave style! She shared this above image to her fans and followers of her Facebook page account recently.

We love it!

This is a great time then to introduce Bellytich Blog readers who are interested in or who can wear ethnic braided styles to my new braided hair blog, JJ Braids.

I only created JJBraids.com this week after getting numerous queries and requests from friends, family, strangers, in person and in social media, about my various braided styles.
“What is that style?” “What type of braided extensions is that?” “What texture is it?” “What is the length?”” How much did it cost?”” Who did it?”
In this new blog, I answer those questions of the various braided styles I’ve worn over the past 10 years consistently and regularly.
In coming weeks, I will add links to shops where one can get their hair done in a similar style and links to online resources to purchase the hair.
I hope it can be a resource as I noticed that there really isn’t a similar website or blog out there like it.
If you are on Facebook, I invite you to join the spanking brand new Facebook page.
If you are on Pinterest, follow the JJ’s Braids Pinterest page where I will be adding more styles from around the web.
I plan to launch a Twitter and Instagram version too soon so you can keep up dependent of the choice of social media you frequent most.
Thanks friends and do share! Much appreciate it!

Tia and Tamera Mowry to pen Young Adult teen book series

Our favorite Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum twins Tia Mowry Hardrict and sis Tamera Mowry-Housley are penning a young adults series for HarperCollins Children‘s Books called Twintuition. The series will follow the trials of a set of twin siseters who move to a new town with their mom. According to a blurb on E!, the series will be a mix of the sort of antics we saw on the Mowry sisters’ hit 90s TV show Sister, Sister and a hint of supernatural a la The Twilight series.
This new venture adds to the sisters multi-faceted branding, products and productions: they have a maternity and mom products company Needs brand, Tia has a Yoga DVD set out and stars in a NickMom series Instant Mom (recently renewed for a second season),  while Tamera’s TV hosting gig on FOX‘s The Real (starting this fall), in addition to other projects.  Phew!
These two are really getting their hustle on and giving those other 90s child stars, The Olsen twins, a run for their money.

Check out a video of the duo answering various questions on E! HERE!

Tia and Tamera Mowry say goodbye to their reality TV show

Season 3 Poster

After three years of starring in a popular and well-ranked docu-series, Tia Mowry Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley have decided to leave the reality TV world to focus on their lives behind the cameras.

Many were wondering what would become of the popular Style channel shows like Tia and Tamera which the sisters starred in, and Jerseylicious after the channel’s parent company NBC Universal  decided to fold it in. Its execs decided that the content on Style overlapped with its other properties: E!, BravoTV and Oxygen networks. It nixed Style and replaced it with a male-focused channel Esquire TV mid season. All of the back episodes of Style channel shows have been playing in replay on E!

Tamera shared the news in a series of Tweets on New Year’s Eve:

Our Fave Mowry Twins 70’s Themed 40th Birthday Party and It Was Every Bit As Groovy As We Imagined It Would Be

Tia Mowry Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley celebrated a huge milestone together: their 40th birthday!

The identical twin sisters brought their closest friends and family together for a ’70s-themed party at Good Times at Davey Wayne’s in Hollywood on Saturday.

“We live very kind of busy lives and I really wanted us to slow things down for a minute and take the time out to celebrate,” Mowry-Hardrict exclusively told PEOPLE. “The last time we had a party together was when we turned 21. We have our individual careers, but I just felt like it was something we needed to celebrate together.”…

And of course, the sisters dressed the part! From funky afros to bell-bottom jeans, the duo and their guests embraced the ’70s decade while dancing the night away, munching on classic bites — such as hotdogs, hamburgers and grilled cheese sandwiches — and indulging in a colorful, retro birthday cake by Dani Flowers Bakery….

And while the duo continue to focus on their individual careers and families (Tia and husband Cory Hardrict share 6½-year-old son, Cree Taylor, and 2-month-old daughter, Cairo; Tamera and husband Adam Housley share 5-year-old son, Aden, and 3-year-old daughter, Ariah), they have an unbreakable bond.

Rivera is more limiting.

She says in the magazine that she usually avoids over sharing photos of her son.

“I try to keep [shots of Josey] to a minimum,” the Glee alum said in he mag. “Don’t get me wrong. I want to post photos of him every day because he’s so cute, but I try to just post mostly on holidays, because some things should be kept private. Obviously, doing a magazine cover with him was a big decision, but I know it’s something we’ll look back on and cherish.”
