Being pregnant is an exciting time. Visions of nurseries dance in your head and it’s likely that you find yourself consumed with shopping for onesies, stuffed animals and the perfect blanket to wrap around your bundle of joy. You also have probably noticed that, in addition to all of the things your baby needs, you need a new wardrobe to fit your expanding belly as well. These days, designers have the most stylish looks in maternity wear. You can buy things for work that allow you to look professional and still be comfortable or for the weekend when you are kicking back and enjoying life. And for that fabulous party you have coming up, there are plenty of party dresses too.

The Swedish Royals are Having Their Own Baby Boom

Prince Carl and his wife Princess Sofia are expecting their first child after marrying last June 2015. Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel are expecting their second child. They are parents to almost 3-year old Princess Estelle.

I have been slacking. I tried to do my best to showcase other nations’ royal births other than Duchess Kate and Prince William of Great Britain. I managed to cover most of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden‘s first pregnancy and a bit of her baby sister Princess Madeleine’s first pregnancy, but then I slacked off big time!

Now, look! There’s a double bumpwatch going on among the Swedish royals.

Victoria is pregnant with her second child right alongside her sister-in-law Princess Sofia, who is married to Victoria’s younger brother Prince Carl Philip. Carl and Sofia married last June and didn’t waste much time to usher in another heir to the throne.

Baby sister Princess Madeleine and her husband New York businessman Christopher O’Neill have an almost 2-year old daughter Princess Leonora, born in February 2014, and a 7-month old son Prince Nicolas, born last June 2015.

Victoria is mom to 3-year old Princess Estelle, also born in February, in 2013.

Sofia is now 6 months along and Victoria also expects her baby to be delivered in March. Victoria’s children will inherit the throne first because she is heir apparent, and one of only 4 female heir apparent in monarchs world wide.

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia will be delighted at all the new grands coming this Spring.

The Only Person Over 25 to Make Instagram’s Top 10 Most Liked Photo List

Besides The Jenner Girls (Kendall and Kylie Jenner), Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, the only other mega star to land in the 2015 list of most liked photo on Instagram was our very own “bumpwatch” alum, Beyonce Knowles .

Her sweet Throwback Thursday portrait, posted 3 months, in matching off white with her daughter Blue Ivy, then 11 months old garnered 2.3 million likes. Instagram released the list this week, Wednesday, December 2 and Bey and Blue landed on #5. See the entire list HERE!

Shear & Glimmer on the AMA’s Red Carpet and Host J.Lo’s 10 Dress Changes (PHOTOS)

Sunday night was the American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California hosted by Jennifer Lopez with intermittent announcement duties by Ciara who left little to the imagination in a well constructed Balmain dress.

As usual, we tracked some of the celebrity moms that we’ve “bumpwatched” in the past to check out what and who they wore on the red carpet or on stage.

Gwen Stefani performed “Used to Love You” but before, she walked the red carpet in a stunning sheer and panel Yousef El-Jasmi dress. Carrie Underwood won the AMA for Favorite Country Female artist and sang her hit song “Heartbeat” during the show. On the red carpet she wowed in an Ellie Madi dress, Greymer shoes, Kimberley McDonald earnings and rings by Kimberly McDonald and Anne Sisteron.

There was much shine from all the sequined dresses which dominated this year’s red carpet. Paula Abdul, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato all did sequins as did our Bumpwatch alum Danica McKeller.

Shear with jewels. Shear with metallic. Sheer with lace. It seems there were many ways to present shear. The trend from last season has spilled over as we saw it on Ciara in Balmain, model Hannah Davis, who also presented an award, in Naeem Khan dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and Anita Ko jewelry, and Stefani while performing in Jean Paul Gaultier.

Jennifer Lopez must have won the award for most dress changes during a show as she wore a reported 10 dressed during the course of the evening. My favorite was her red carpet dress. Wow!

Celebrity Couples whose Union Didn’t Survive Their Baby’s First Birthdays

US Weekly reports that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have split after 11 years together.

It is the latest in a slate of high-profile celeb break ups this summer including Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Charlize Theron and Sean Penn, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.

Break ups are sad and we’ve notice that in the 7 years that Bellyitch Blog has been in existence, a substantial amount of celebrity women who we have had on our “bumpwatch” list have broken up with their respective significant others.

Some broke up before the baby was even born: Christina Milian, Kelis, Heidi Klum and January Jones,and many more split with their respective hubby/baby daddies before they even gave birth.

Last year, Ciara, Eva Marcille (nee Pigford), and Amber Rose split with their partners before each of their baby’s turned 6 months old. The separations have been messy, still. A few years ago, Selma Blair and her ex Jason Bleick split up 14 months after welcoming their first child together.

Others we’ve covered who have called it quits include: The Jamie Foxx show actress Garcelle Beauvais, TV host Padma Lakshmi from Top Chef, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Freeman from My Wife and Kids, Lauryn Hill, Kimora Lee Simmons (Djimon Hounsou days), Hilary Duff, Fantasia, Halle Berry, Jill Scott, Kate Hudson, Jamie Lyn Spears, Lauren London, Monyetta Shaw (NeYo’s ex), Golden Brooks from “Girlfriends”.

At this point, it’s probably safer to start chronicling those who are still together because they are the new exception, not the rule in Hollywood, it seems. But hey, so long as everyone is happier and better off apart and the off-springs are co-parented well with little to minimum drama, right?

No judgment from us, okay. We’re just pointing out the trends and facts. Just the facts, ma’am, just the facts! (*smirk*)

Inside Fantasia Barrino’s recent Yacht Wedding (PHOTOS)

Our Bellyitch Bumpwatch alum, the soulful songstress Fantasia Barrino formally wed on a yacht off the coast of North Carolina to her beau Kendall Taylor last Saturday, July 18 in North Carolina.

It was an elegant intimate affair on the water to celebrate their union with a small group of family and friends.

The American Idol winner chose red, black and white for her colors for the event that took place aboard the Queen’s Landing yacht on Lake Norman in Moorseville, North Carolina.

The very happy bride has been teasing her fans and followers in social media about the blessed event for a while now, she posted this a few days before the ceremony.
